Hi
Why do you need a user exit or BADI.
Create a Custom Business Object(SWO1) and Create a New Event(SW01) and link it to the B.O. Or you could also create a CO Validation and use it for triggering a Validation and as a last resort you go for User Exit or Abap code.
Check if you have some workflow expertise in your tech team and you should be fine.

User-Exit or BAdI when saving an asset?

Hi experts,
I would describe our problem and I wish you could guide us to the best solution.
We have create a Workflow that synchronises the creation of a functional location with the asset (because we don't find any user-exit that allowed this requirement). The process is the following:
1.- First of all, Workflow validates that WBS Element of the functional location exists. In afirmative case, it continues to step nº 2. Otherwise, WorkItem is cancelled.
2.- We create a functional location with tx. IL01 and as a result of that, a WorkItem is created related to some specific user. He opens the SAP Business Workplace and approve it.
3.- Then, when he approves that WorkItem we call to the method BAPI_FIXEDASSET_CREATE1 that creates the asset.
Now we would like to get some User-Exit or BAdI that makes our data persisted before the user press SAVE button, because i have to inform the asset and subnumer to the functional location with the number of the asset we have just created.
Could that be possible?

I am still having trouble with this topic...
No enhancements posted at the message before solved the described problem. So I started to think in another way...
At the Workflow circuit defined to synchronise functional locations with asset master, we would like some function like "CreateBright" in Object "EQUI_EXT" (tx. SWO1). Inside the code, there is a call function to "AAPM_AA_SYNC_BY_WORKFLOW" that automatically creates the equipment and join the asset master.
In functional locations, we don't have this function so what can I do to have the same concept in functional creations and not equipments? Any idea?

User exit not active when saving sales orders

while creating a sales order (VA01) i need to update the storage location based on division . for this the badis and user exits are not triggering while creating a sales order for the above requirement

User exit/BADI triggered when WWI document is released in CG02

In CG02 when a WWI document is created for a specification i want to know user exit/BADI associated when the document is released/accept in the report management.

the user exits mentioned do have special purposes.
C1G20001 and C1G20002 are related with report management system
C1G20003 and C1G20004 are related with report information system
The other exit is related to tasks which can be "programmed" in using the report header. The "release/accept" process is generally related to the definition of the generation variant.
Regarding the mentioned BADI I have no special knowledge if it can be used here.
Could you indicate the reason behind your question?
Reason is: based on the generation variant definition there is no "real report" which can be "released" or the report is immediately "released" and the user exits mentioned will not help any more in most scenarios.

PS: I have done a small research: Badi EHSS_WWI_BADI_001 is available starting ERp 6.0 o my knowlegde; depending to your business needs there is a chance that this Badi can help.

The Business Add-In (BAdI) ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST enables you to extend the business logic of the Enjoy purchase order on an individual basis.
You can thus influence the dialog transactions ME21N, ME22N, ME23N, and ME29N, and the BAPIs BAPI_PO_CREATE1 and BAPI_PO_CHANGE.
Typical applications for this BAdI include:
Processing of own objects
Processing of additional data on standard objects
Implementation of additional checks and derivationsChange of data in standard fields
Change in field selection
you can use this BADI for checking the material group

Check for one Paramter: I_TRTYP (This is for Create/Change/Display Modes) or You can check on Sy-Tcode = ME22N

Notifications in T&E are done through Workflow.Dynamic Actions are only for PA Infotypes.

User Exit IDOC creation - When purchase order gets created

Hi All,
The requirement is whenever user creates a Purchase Order in the current SAP system an IDOC needs to get created and be sent to another SAP system where a Sales Order will be created.
Can anybody suggest the correct User exit/enhancement at the time of Purchase order creation which could be used ?
Also the function modules for creating the IDOCs within the user-exit.

Hi Meghna,
Your requirement is SAP standard function which means you don't have to use any user exit.
What you need to do is configure output control, then when a PO saved, a idoc will send to vendor automaticly.
Here is a step brief
1. configure output type in NACE
2. Add condition record in NACE
3. Setup partner profile in WE20

u2022 The logic for the user exit to explode should consider the following assumptions and validations
o Customer master to have the entry at KNVV-KVGR1
o Material master to have the entry at MVKE
o UoM in the Sales order item (VBAP- VRKME) should be = Pallets PAL or tonnes (TES)
o Should have more than one line item or number of line items with UoM PAL or tonnes TES should be > 1
for example :-->
Product A with Scales mentioned below
Product A Quantity / Scale UoM Price(£)
0-10 PAL/TES 20
11- 20 PAL/TES 10
21- 30 PAL/TES 5
31-40 PAL/TES 2.5
>41 PAL/TES

How to abort tasks in a Dynamic Action when apex.confirm = Cancel

I have a text field that has a Dynamic Action attached to it. When the field is changed, the Dynamic Action fires. There are 6 separate tasks in that Dynamic Action.
The very first task is a call to apex.confirm. I want to make sure that the user understand the implications of changing the value in this field. So, up pops the dialog, the user reads the information, and decides to click OK or Cancel.
If OK is clicked, I want to continue through the rest of the tasks in the Dynamic Action. If CANCEL is clicked, I want to just abort out of the Dynamic Action.
Is that possible?

Yes, I do see a different behavior.
I've set up an app on apex.oracle.com, #60312. Workspace is mavericksolutions. Login pwolf. Password A1B2C3 change on first login.
The first field is tied to a dynamic action. The first task in the DA is an apex.confirm. Type something into the first field then click TAB to bring up the dialog box. Whether I click OK or click CANCEL, the 2nd task is still occurring. It appears that the only difference is that if I click OK, I also get a submit of the page.
What I want, in fact, is twofold:
1. If I click CANCEL, then STOP the execution of the remainder of the tasks in the Dynamic Action.
2. If I click OK, go ahead and process the rest of the tasks in the Dynamic Action, but DO NOT SUBMIT.
Basically, I want to ask the user if it's OK to go ahead and make the on-screen changes, but I do NOT want to do an auto-save. I want the user to look at the results on the screen and click the actual SAVE (or CREATE) button after ensuring their accuracy. Right now, it appears that the apex.confirm is firing a page submit when I click OK (the fields get cleared out). I don't want that page submit.
I THINK I can accomplish goal #1 with a workaround, by splitting the DA into two pieces. Piece #1 would have only the confirmation dialog. Piece #2 would be fired from the same field change, would have a sequence number AFTER piece #1, and would be conditional on the value of the expression returned by the apex.confirm. So if the apex.confirm returned 'DOTHIS' when I click OK, I would look to see if Expression = DOTHIS for piece #2. If not, then piece #2 wouldn't fire.
The remaining trouble, then, is that if I click OK to fire piece #2, the page submit will subsequently fire following the completion of piece #2. And no matter what, I definitely do NOT want a page submit. Is there a function similar to apex.confirm that does not do a page submit?
Anyway, take a look at the app. It's not performing the way that I anticipated, which is the same behavior that you described. I expected that it would do exactly what you said. Alas...

Triggering Dynamic actions when updating an Infotype using a FM

Hi all,
This is the scenario.
I am trying to run a Transfer action, (80), which updates the Infotype 0000 and Infotype 0001. When the entry in the Infotype 0001 is saved, a dynamic action is triggered and a custom infotype is updated automatically. I need to find a FM that takes care of any dynamic actins associated to an Infotype.
I tried using a BDC, but I was not successful. While using the FM HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION, I am able to update the data into the infotyes 0000 and 0001 but the dnamic action is not triggered. Can someone please suggest a solution.
