User login report in Active Directory for specific date and time
I want to get User login report in Active Directory for specific date and time e.g user logged in at15-01-2015 from 8:00am to 4:00pm
Is any query, script or any tool available?
Waiting for reply pleaseYou can identify the last logon date and time using my script here: https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/Get-Active-Directory-User-bbcdd771
If you would like to get back in time and see when the user did a logon / logoff then you need to have auditing enabled. Once done, you can records from Security log in the event viewer: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/98cbecb0-d23d-479d-aa65-07e3e214e2c7/manage-active-directory-users-logon-logoff-events
I have started a Wiki about how to track logon / logoff and it can help too: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/20422.record-logon-logoff-activities-on-domain-servers-and-workstations-using-group-policy.aspx

Problem in generating User Login Report on System Usage
We want a daily shift-wise(3 shifts of 8 hours each) report with following information
1. User-ID
2. Login Time-Stamp
3. Transaction Code
4. Transaction Code Start Time-Stamp
5. Transaction Code End Time-Stamp
6. Logout Time-Stamp
At present we are extracting the usage data with STAD transaction & processing in batch mode to generate a report which is not fulfilling our requirement as it is not having Transaction Code End Time-Stamp. One problem is same transaction code is having multiple Time-Stamps. If time-stamp is considered up to hour & minute, multiple records for same transaction code as well as different transaction codes are appearing. We are unable to generate MIS as per our requirement.
Thanks in advance.
KajalHi,
This may be possible if the trace is activated in the TA ST01. But it is not advisable to keep this trace for a prolonged period as it has an adverse effect in the system performance.
For a smaller user base, u can enable the security log in TA SM19, The report can be pulled from TA SM20.
Hope this helps.

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I have searched and found nothing.
I run Server 2012 Essentials, and want to run a report on the times my employees are logging on and off.
I assume this is a simply task, but cannot work out how to do it.
Thanks in advance. After reviewing my notes for WS2012E R2, here is what I did: (hope it makes sense)
TLOLO (Tracking Logon Logoff) on WS2012E R2
1. Create TLOLO shared folder but DO NOT use the Dashboard to create it
Permissions: Admin: FULL
Permissions: Domain Users: Read and Execute, Read, Write, List folder contents
2. Install Logon/Logoff.cmd to GPO GUID for ‘Users’
Create TLOLO GPO (does not have to be completely created; only needs to show in GPO Objects). See NOTE below to determine the GUID to copy the scripts to. Then come back and finish creating the GPO.
NOTE: The GUID above may change over time. Use Group Policy Management after GPO is initially created to get the GUID for the Policies location to copy the logon/logoff scripts to. (GPO | Details | Unique ID). Once scripts have
been copied and TLOLO is working, the GUID may change. However, the scripts will still be under the GUID listed in the Details pane (whatever it changes to).
To add (copy) scripts to Logon/Logoff: Copy directly to the following directories
C:\Windows\SYSVOL\sysvol\domain.local\Policies\{GUID}\User\Scripts\ Logon, Logoff
3. On Server: GPupdate /force

Filtering report data based on user login and Parameter fields
Post Author: mronquillo
CA Forum: General
Hi,I am running a report that filters data based on the user login. To do this, I created a formula called @user that compares the login name (using the CurrentCEUserName field) and returns the user's name. If the user login is not a login specified in the if statements, it returns the parameter field "user_name":For example: if CurrentCEUserName = "loginname1" then "User's Name 1"else if CurrentCEUserName = "loginname2" then "User's Name 2" else if CurrentCEUserName = "loginname3" then "User's Name 3" else if CurrentCEUserName = "loginname4" then "User's Name 4".. .else {?user_name} In select expert, I have a condition which filters data based on the string returned from that formula:{Table.Name} = {@user} This works fine and when the users run the report they only their own data. However, they are still prompted to choose a parameter field regardless if of the value returned by the @user formula. Oddly enough, regardless of what parameter field they choose, they will still only see their own data (i.e. if John chooses "Bob" from the parameter list, he will still only see John's data.)If I remove the "else {?user_name}" line from the @user formula, then the users are not prompted anymore. However, if they are not a "valid" user - that is, if any of the if statements in the formula are not true for their login name - then they will see no data. What I want to do is make the report ONLY prompt the user to choose a parameter field if their login name is not "valid". That is, if the @user formula is able to return a string value for their login name, then they will jump right into the report without being prompted to choose a parameter - otherwise, the user will be prompted to choose a name from the parameter list. I thought my formula would allow this (hence the "else" clause), but it seems that if a parameter field is present in any formula, then the report automatically prompts the user to choose a parameter. Is what I am trying to accomplish possible in CR (I'm using CR v10.0) or is there a better way to do what I am trying to do?Thanks in advance.Post Author: sharonmtowler

How can i get report no of user login in system
Hello
how can i get report no of user login in system
means user license login per day in system
what is strategy of SAP against licenses audit
how can i manage my license users ??????????
JayeshHi Jayesh
You can use the Audit Transactions. Set the Audit Profile with Tx SM19 and then report with Tx SM20.
You can also use the programs CCUINIT and CCUEVAL. Report CCUINIT initialises the measurement of current users and report CCUEVAL will provide the report and the logs for you to download.
Also regarding the licensing of users,
Refer to http://www.sap-img.com/sap-overview/help-to-understand-sap-licenses.htm
and https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/licenseauditing
You will get everything you need

User login records on Hyperion Financial Reporting
Hi all,
We understand we can turn on audit to capture the user login (authentication) in Hyperion Planning. Can we have the same option/feature for Financial Reporting to turn on audit so that we know that which reports in one day was generated by end users?jts wrote:
I think so..take a look at what I found below on page 301 of the financial reporting user guide under the administrative tasks section, report server tasks subsection:
Log File Output Management
Financial Reporting uses the log4j logging mechanism to manage log file output. Logging
settings can be configured and are set in the fr_repserver.properties file for each Financial
Reporting server component.
This code is an example of Financial Reporting Server default settings in the
fr_repserver.properties file. Settings you might modify are shown in bold text.
# log4j.rootLogger=ERROR,dest1
# log4j.appender.dest1=org.apache.log4j.RollingFileAppender
# log4j.appender.dest1.ImmediateFlush=true
# log4j.appender.dest1.File=C:/hyperion/BIPlus/logs/FRReportSrv.log
# log4j.appender.dest1.Append=true
# log4j.appender.dest1.MaxFileSize=512KB
# log4j.appender.dest1.MaxBackupIndex=5
# log4j.appender.dest1.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout
# log4j.appender.dest1.layout.ConversionPattern=%d{MM-dd
HH:mm:ss} %-6p%c{1}\t%m%n
Note:
See fr_global.properties for details on logging levels (FATAL, ERROR, WARN, INFO,
DEBUG) and formatting options. The Financial Reporting logging settings can be changed
without restarting the servers. The .properties files are monitored for changes to the logging
setting every minute. The frequency is set in fr_global.properties. This can be very handy
if you want to set the logging levelThanks a lot! So the login/logout information will be captured in which log file? -
BOXIR3.1- Users, Auditing DB statistics of Report Refresh, users login info
Hi All,
I need to create BOXI R 3.1 DeskI reports for the statistics related to the user login information,Scheduling Reports info, user properties and other statistics .
Any suggestion to resolve this issue , It helps me greatly.
Thanks in advance..
maheshHave you tried auditing?
That way you can get information about different kinds of information. You can install the example reports with some useful reports (average of users logged in, and so on)
For more information, read the BOE Administrator Guide 3.1 chapter 12.
In BOE 3.1 you have to configure the connection to your database (create a new repository from the
CMC), to install the auditing universe and you can install some example auditing reports.
You can get the universe (if depends on the database you are using) and the example reports (webi) in this folder from the server:

Reporting of users login / logout

Can we get Reporting of users login / logout / tea break / prayer break / meeting break status (i.e. complete login-logout monthly report of each employee) in CDR or some other way in CUCM.

1-The Cisco Extension Mobility and Cisco Extension Mobility Cross Cluster features keep a record of the devices to which users are actively logged in. For the Cisco Extension Mobility feature, the actively logged-in device report tracks the local phones that are actively logged in by local users; for the Cisco Extension Mobility Cross Cluster feature, the actively logged-in device report tracks the local phones that are actively logged in by remote users.

Filter standard reports based on user login
Hi All,
Is there any way to filter standard form reports (not PLD), based on the user currently logged in. for example, if user 'sales1' has logged in, he should be able to see the sales report(say sales analysis) for the documents made by him only. there does not seem to have any access on the query being passed to this report. so even customization does not seem to be the solution. kindly help if any one knows a better way or a way at all.
thnks and regards,
Binita JoshiHi Petr,
thanks for replying.
Before posting, I had already searched in SAP B1 forum and there , for a similar problem, it was advised to use SDK so I posted here.
I knew, SDK seems to be the way. but, again, As I wrote, I wanted to know, whether there exists a way to filter the standard reports based on the user login. I don't want authorization or setting rights, sort of things.
but, suppose If user A wants to see the sales documents reports then, he should be able to see the reports of the documents made by him only. so we will have to filter the records based on the Usersign field in marketing documents' tables but, I am clueless on, where should I give this filter. and I am afraid there is no way to do that. make your own reports and block the access of system reports.Pls right back if U have more to say.

Edited by: pradeep balam on Jul 27, 2011 4:37 PMHi Pradeep,
Try using the following URL to the Admin Service:
http://<Server:Port>/XMII/Illuminator?service=Admin&Mode=modelist
You can then try the different modes such as:
http://<Server:Port>/XMII/Illuminator?service=Admin&Mode=SessionList
This may have the information you are looking for, assuming you have the right permission to access the AdminService.

Hi all,
I'm running a site that requires user login. I approached the building of this site as almost a complete newb to CF (and dynamic coding in general), and it's been a great learing experience (with lots of help from you guys).
However, I guess I never learned the correct way to handle a user login. It seemed to me that I could just test the user-entered credentials against those stored in a database, then set a session variable containg that user's record number. Then, not only would I have an easy way of knowing who this user was and therefore what info to serve him, but I could test for the existence of a valid login on every page in the protected folder, by adding this code to my application.cfc in that folder:
<cfset This.Sessionmanagement=true>
<cfset This.Sessiontimeout="#createtimespan(0,8,0,0)#">
<cfif NOT isDefined ("session.username") or NOT isDefined ("session.password") or NOT isDefined ("session.storeID")>
<cflocation url="../index.cfm" addtoken="no">
</cfif>
...and it goes on to run a query and verify that the session.username and session.password match for the store defined by session.storeID. If not, all session variables are cleared and it bounces you back to the login page. When the user clicks Logout, all I do is delete all the session variables.
This seemed to work great for like a year, but lately I've been getting reports that the login doesn't seem to persist for longer than approx. 20 minutes of inactivity. You can see I specified session variables to remain active for 8 hours (I know that seems like a drastically long login, but it's what's necessary for this application). I've only gotten this report from a few people, and I myself can't seem to duplicate it... I've tested an inactive login for 45 minutes now and it held.
SO: any reason you can think of why session variables would be spontaneously clearing for some people? Would having your router reset its IP address invalidate the session or something? Also, the problem seemed to begin appearing after my host upgraded all their servers to CF9... could there be any relation?
And on a more general note... did I go about this completely the wrong way to begin with? If so, what's the standard way to manage a login?
Lots of questions, I know... thanks very much for any answers or suggestions!
JoeIan,
Thanks very much - very helpful information.
Sounds like passing the tokens in every request is probably the way to go for this. I don't think it's likely that any users will be sharing links, unless they actually intend for the recipient to see their info anyway.
Is that all I would have to do, is add the tokens to every path? Would that guarantee that all the session variables would remain valid until timeout or being cleared?
Again, thanks, you've been really helpful.
Joe

Unfortunately this is the nature of HTTP web applications. There is NO state maintained from HTTP request to request. This is by design in the HTTP protocol specifications.
ColdFusion provides two methods to circumvent this limitation. Each method has limitations and caveats. They both rely on the passing of tokens between the client and the server with every request. These tokens can be passed as cookies OR URL (GET) variables. You are using the cookie method, which is the simpler and most common. You may be experiencing the limitation of this method. If something happens to the cookies the session can be lost.
You could pass the (CFID & CFTOKEN) OR JESSIONID tokens through the URL query string with every request. This requires one to add these values to every link, form action, cflocation or other request path in our application. ColdFusion provides the session.urltoken variable to make this easier to do. The tokens will be visible to the user. Also if the links with an individual token is share with other users, via e-mail, chat, social networks, etc and one of these users utilize the link during the life of a session (8 hours apparently in your case). Then that user will access the session of the original user.
Cookie session management is by far the most common choice by CF developers. If these methods do not meet your needs you would need to go beyond the HTTP limitations of web applications. One might be able to accomplish this with a Flex|Air|Flash applications that can be configured to use a continuous connection to the server. Thus not suffer the stateless nature of the normal HTTP request-response cycle.
I do not know if a router resetting would cause cookies to be discarded or otherwise invalidated. But I would not think it is beyond the relm of possibilities.
