User name when commenting

I have acrobat 8 pro installed on a window 7 64 bit pc. when i add comments to pdf files the comments are show Owner not my user name ,the name I inserted in prefrences. I unchecked the box to always use login name and it still marks the coments as owner. How can I fix this besides creating a new user?

May be an issue with AA8 on Win7. I used AA9.3.3 and got it to work, but not quite as expected. I selected the options in the comment and selected properties>General. I was able to set the author. At the bottom of the window is a selection for making the options the default. I checked that and future comments had the new name.

I need to find out why documents that are park in FBV0 do not update with the new user name when any changes are made. Also when we park using MIR7 and make changes to the documents at a later time the document updates with the new users name.

I have checked this in system. I posted one Parked invoice using T.code FV60 and there i appeared my name because i created. But after some time one of my collegue changed the reference and text field with his login i.d. But still in the invoice it is showing as my name whereas if we go to the environmnet, there in the changes we can see what are the changes done and it is appearing my collegues user i.d. But in the main invoice it is still appearing my name.

ID User name when provisioning new user account in R/3 System with CUP

Is it possible to configure somehow a rule in CUP for ID user names to be created in the backend system when direct auto provisioning is done?
Example: User_A creates a request for a new account in System SAP S1.
Such user will be created in S1 under ID "XXXX_User_A"

if you want building rules for new users you can user Netweaver Identity Management.
But I completely agree with Dylan - you really really want to try to have a SINGLE user ID in your systems for a person.
That's not only helpful for compliance, it's also useful for technical enhancements like Single Sign-On and many other things.
I usually try to link ActiveDirectory to CUP and retrieve user data, including the UserID from there.

I don't want firefox to remember my user name when I sign in my gmail account

Every time when I type the first letter of the user name, the whole name automatically appears. I prefer to type in every character myself to prevent other user of my computer to know my user name.

Wrong Outgoing Pop Server User name when sending message

When I send a message mail tells me message is rejected by server. Looking at the user it is incorrect.
If I restart mail, it asks me to confirm my passward and shows the correct outgoing server and user information. When I attempt to send, it says it rejects the user, (it's different from original login)
Using Mail's connection doctor, it is able to connect correctly to the correct outgoing server
I've tried deleting outgoing servers and re-entering, trying different methods, such as adding several outgoing servers, deleting all servers, using server without password authent.
Everything I try seems to revert to Mail trying to send with an incorrect user.
Also rebooted, didn't help.
What should I try next? Thanks

Well, fortunately, after some digging on yahoos website, I found the solution to my problem.
My web / mail server is through Yahoo. The stated POP / SMTP Server settings have changed!
Below is posted on Yahoos site: (after login)
Your POP/SMTP Settings:
Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
Use SSL, port: 995
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com
Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication
Account name/user name: [email protected]
Email address: [email protected]
Password: Your Business Email password
for instance, my old settings for email address [email protected]:
Incoming / Outgoing server address is still the same.
old login: info%sydewayz.com
new login: [email protected]
from "%" to "@"
And most important, now must use "SSL" - server Port "465" for outgoing mail
and of course password authentication.

I am unable to install additional files on every PC in the organisation, however I can install additional files on "File Server" where these files will be stored and give the "shortcut link" of these flies to the users for view / download.

I need to get into my old account and get my addresses and then cancel the old account but can not get into it. Had to change my user name when I moved and now I can't get into Firefox. Can't remember the old password. What to do??

I moved during the summer. I changed to highspeedand & when I set my computer up it told me that my email address was already in use so I had to change it(????) I changed from jkady to [email protected] I tried to change it on firefox but it would not except the new name and I could not get into my old account.I need all my addresses and would like to cancel the old account but I can not get into it. This is very frustrating!!!!! I need my addresses!!!!!!!!

I logged in changed the primary E-Mail address to a different one, vertified it then tried to log in it said either to send an E-Mail to veritify again or to do my security questions, so I choose to do the security questions and put in my Birthday like it asked and it said that it was wrong and I had to authenticate it to get in, why is it so hard to just set up a Apple ID really though!
So I tried the E-Mail to and it has not sent me an E-Mail then I tried to log in again and it has locked me out of my account so I try to recover my password and it gave me the same options to get my password back and both options are doing the same as before, it says I don't know my on birth date or it is wrong or needs authenticate it, then the E-Mail doesn't come through!
This is just stupid now.

Logging correct user name when creating users

I wrote a function that creates users through a portlet in version 3.0.9.8.4 It works fine except for logging who created the user. The schema where the functions and procedures are used gets updated in the wwsec_person$.created_by_dbuser field. The created_by field comes up as 'PUBLIC'. How can this field be updated through an API. The add_portal_user procedure has a p_db_user parameter, but that doesn't appear to work; whatever I put in that field doesn't show up anywhere.
How can I pass the user_name who's creating the user in my function so it updates the wwsec_person$.created_by field? Or please tell me if it can't be done; then what does the add_portal_user.p_db_user param do anyway?

Every portal user is mapped to a DB schema. Many portal users can be mapped to one DB schema. The p_db_user is the name of the DB schema. The portal user has the DB privileges of the p_db_user or DB schema. The created_by is automatically taken to be the DB schema of the portal user logging in.

Username = full email address
This should be entered here:
Tools > Account Settings
select the account name on the left
Account name: full email address
Your name: Type your name
Email address: enter full email address

If the name stays the same and you only need to change (update) the stored password then fill the name in the login form and let Firefox fill the wrong password.
You may have to press the Tab key to fill the password field with the old password.
If you replace the wrong password with the new password then Firefox should offer to store the new password via the bar at the top.
* Use the Remember Password bookmarklet on websites that use "autocomplete=off" to prevent Firefox from saving passwords.
* Verify that Firefox has stored the new password: Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
If that didn't work then remove that name and password in the Password Manager and Firefox should offer to save the new password on the next visit or after reloading the log in page.<br />
If you have problems with remembering a new password then make sure that you remove all entries from that server (look for an empty name as well) and also check the exceptions to make sure that the site is not listed there.

How can I retain the local user name when using imported network tags?

I am using network tags that have been imported from a remote DSC module 6.1 application. I would like to retain the remote user in the tag records instead of whoever is logged in locally. Is this possible?

How to retrive the user name when we know the user ID in BPM 10g ?

Hi All,
I want to retrive the participants name by the participant's id. I have a drop down list where the participants ID is present. Now I will invoke a method on change of this drop down and it will return the name of the choosen Participant ID. Can any body help me to write tha exact code to retrive the exact Name in BPM 10g.

Is there a way to access Time Machine files associated with an old user name?

My iMac was running super slow and there was a bunch of programs, etc. that I wanted to get rid of anyway so I thought I would do a "clean install" from my Snow Leopard disc. I moved items on my desktop to my Seagate external drive and then unplugged it. I have had Time Machine saving to it for a long time so I was confident I could just move a few items (pictures, music, etc.) back on to my hard drive when the install was completed. To my surprise, when I went to Time Machine I found the items I had moved from my desktop but no earlier versions of my other files.
In researching this issue a little bit, it appears that perhaps I created a new user name when I did the install and that my historical items are likely still on the Seagate but stored somewhere associated with my old user name. I understand that if I can change my user name back to the original that I may be able to access the items and transfer the items I want. To compound the situation, I have no idea what my old user name even was.
Does this make sense to Mac experts out there?
If so, is there a way to see the old user names and access the Time Machine files?
I've been avoiding telling my wife that I may have lost all our kid photos so I'm desperately hoping someone can help.

Another option would be to access to your backups manually. Open a Finder window, select the Time Machine drive in the sidebar and go to Backups.backupdb > your computer's name > one of the backups > your partition's name, and copy the data you want
