Using 6.40 SLD with NW2004s - Versions

Hello,
need help with the System Landscape Directory (SLD)!
Currently, we're implementing the Employee and Manager Self Service scenario based on SAP NetWeaver 2004s. So, we're using an EP 7.0 with a SAP ERP 2005 backend.
Now, here's the problem: <b>Does anyone know if it's possible to use an "older" version of the SLD than the SLD based on SAP Web AS 7.0</b> (NetWeaver 2004s)?
We want to use an already existing SLD based on SAP Web AS 6.40 SP15 for the system connections between the SAP NetWeaver 2004s based ESS/MSS WebDynpros...
Thanxs in Advance!
Regards
Joerg Loechner

Hi
Try this
go to sld >>click Landsacpe >>new landscape  , Then enter the necessary for the older one.
In SP15, you can do it from system landsacape area

  • Can not use default screen saver with this version of Mac OS X

    Hello,
I created a 10.6.4 image on a Mac Pro that I have installed on a new 27" iMac. Every thing works fine, as expected, except the screen savers (all Apple default). All screen savers appear in the list when booted off the Mac Pro, but when booted off the iMac, all but 2 disappear (Computer Name and Flurry). Also, the ones listed under Pictures show up, but when I try to use one it says "Can not use 'screen saver name' with this version of Mac OS X - Contact your vendor."
Also, the flurry screen saver runs extremely slow.
Unfortunately, I don't have another iMac to compare versions with, but I've compared with a new Macbook Pro and they are exactly the same. Is there a cache or a pref I can flush?

The old screensavers were about the first things that didn't work when moving to Snow Leopard, so my guess would be the iMac is booting in 32-bit vs 64-bit mode (or whichever mode is incompatible with your screensavers).

  • "YOU CANNOT USE THIS APPLICATION SAFARI WITH THIS VERSION OF MAC OS X"

hi, just downloaded the update for mac 10.5.1 - all went well - then tried to open Safari and received this message "YOU CANNOT USE THIS APPLICATION SAFARI WITH THIS VERSION OF MAC OS X" - I have tried downloading Safari again through netscape but that does not seem to work either - ANY IDEAS???? Thanks

It sounds likely that you have more than one copy of Safari on your hard drive. The one in your Applications folder is the one you should have. The one you're trying to launch is an older version that somehow got moved somewhere else, so that the new version got installed in your Applications folder (where it should be) while the old version is running (or trying to run) from another location.
First, double-click on the Safari application file that you have in your Applications folder. Does it run properly, without error messages? If so, everything is fine. You just need to get rid of the old version of Safari and set it up so you can easily launch the new version that is in your Applications folder.
Are you clicking on the Safari icon in your Dock when you see the error message? If so, do this: Control-click on the Safari icon in your Dock and select "Show in Finder" from the contextual menu. A Finder window should open showing the location of that copy of Safari. If that Finder window is any location other than the Applications folder, delete the Safari file that is in that folder. Then drag the Safari icon out of your Dock. Navigate to your Applications folder and drag the Safari file from the Applications folder to your Dock.
You should be all set, but click on the new Safari icon in your Dock to make sure it is the correct version and runs without problems.

  • " You cannot use the application "iTunes" with this version of MAC OS X."

I am getting the response " You cannot use the application "iTunes" with this version of MAC OS X." How do i get Itunes on my Mac. I tried to download the newest version but it won't let me do that either.

What operating system version are you using on your Macbook?  If you are still using Tiger 10.4 the new iTunes requires Leopard (10.5) or higher.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. You can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 which works on OS X 10.4 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

  • Using an InCopy package with different versions of the same InDesign file

    Hi,
I head up the studio for a London based design agency. We are looking into using InCopy with one of our clients (who will be off-site). In particular this will be working on Annual Reports.
As an example the issue I am coming up against is the following:
So far I imagine that we would have our InDesign file and create an InCopy package of all the stories to send to our client. With the content size of these type of documents it may be several days before we receive anything back. In the time between it is inevitable that we will need to carry out design changes. With our current workflow this would involve saving a new version of the InDesign file. When we receive the original InCopy package back from our client we may be working on a version 1..2..3,etc of the InDdesign layout. BUT the InCopy package wants to link to the original file we made the InCopy package from. Is there a way to link the InCopy package into our new InDesign file.
    Many Thanks

You could try renaming the new file with the old name but I don't think
that's that's going to be a recipe for success.
Other than that, you're using a very dangerous workflow. Everything here
is designed to revolve around a single InDesign file with however many
    assignments or packages there are.

  • Using Intel iPhoto Libraries with G4 versions of iPhoto

    Hello,
Because I had left my Powerbook charger at the other end of the country, I was unable to use my computer for a week or so.
I found myself in urgent need of a photo on my computer, so to overcome the problem, plugged an external drive (where my iPhoto library is stored) into my flatmates Macbook and accessed my library through his version of iPhoto.
Unfortunately though, to access my library I had to 'update it to the latest version' which, in retrospect, I presume is an Intel specific version.
Now I've got my Powerbook charger back I have tried to access the iPhoto library, but get a message telling me that the 'You can't open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto'.
I have tried to do a software update in OSX but am told that there's nothing need updating.
Short of re-importing several thousand photos, which aside from the time it would take would mean that the Folders and Albums that I had set up would be lost, is there any other measures people may suggest to restore my library?
    Many thanks,
    Tim

    Tim,
What version of iLife are you using? From your description, it seems that to view your pictures on your friend's Macbook you used a newer version of iLife, most likely '06. It most likely has nothing to do with whether your friend has an Intel chip in his mac and you do not. Having just upgraded my iLife version from 2-6 on my G4 Powerbook, I went through the conversion process myself. Once you have gone through the conversion process there is no way to go back short up uploading the photos again but Terrance or Old Toad may no better. iLife '06 has a totally different organizational structure and order system than earlier versions so often when you update your photos, you can not go back to the old structure. Did you have a back up of your iLife pictures, if so, then you can revert to your back up. Otherwise, I would suggest purchasing the latest version of iLife, iLife 08 which is $79
You also need to make sure that your Quicktime is the latest version, 7.02
    Hope this helps

  • Using FlashAlbumExporter plug-in with trial version of Aperture 2.1

I have aperture 1.5 and am thinking about upgrading.
One of the features I am looking for is more variety and control in web gallery generation from Aperture.
With this in mind I wanted to play with FlashAlbumExporter.
I downloaded the installer file and opened it but that is where I am hitting a wall.
I go to click the file (FlashAlbumExporter.ApertureExport) and it opens the trial version of Aperture 2.1 but I never see Flash Album Exporter as an export option after I have selected photos, projects, web pages, or anything else I could think of.
It simply doesn't install. What am I doing wrong?

Place the plugin bundle, FlashAlbumexporter.ApertureExport, in your Aperture Export plugin directory (Users -> "your user name" -> Library -> Application Support -> Aperture -> Plug-Ins -> Export).
NOTE: If this is your first Aperture plug-in, the folders Plug-Ins and Export may not exist. In this case just create them first.

  • Error 4450 when trying to burn audio cd....used to work fine with older version of ITunes....

Is Itunes not compatible with windows cd burner.....

I'm having the same problem using 700mb cd-r, but when I try to burn smaller size playlists (300mb) it works fine. I know that when burning as an audio cd the tracks about double in size, so this makes sense. However when I try to burn a playlist 400mb (ends up as 800mb on audio cd) itunes burns most of the songs but errors out on the last few. My guess is the cd runs out of room because itunes thinks it's a 800mb cd and tries to burn that much to it, when in reality it's only a 700mb cd. itunes will actually try to split a playlist that comes out to 1200mb across 2 cds, but still tries to burn 800mb per cd and errors once the cd runs out of room before it has 800mb on it. There needs to be some way to tell it the size of the cds, or at least an update where they fix the size detection. In the mean time it looks like we're stuck with manually splitting playlists so they're smaller than 350mb (if you have cds a different size than 700mb then just keep the playlist below half the cd's capacity).

  • Using vista 64 bit with current versions of lightroom and CS3

Since the new versions of lightroom and photoshop are going to run on 64 bit I was thinking of upgrading to vista 64 bit. Will the present versions of lightroom and CS3 function in the vista 64 bit environment
    thanks
    Roger Lieberman

I use both LR & CS3 on both XP 64 and Vist 64. They wor just fine. In fact you get access to more RAM. Research your printer drivers etc though. That's an issue.

  • You cannot use the application "Mail" with this version of Mac OS X

I get the above message when clicking on "Mail" on my backup drive. Could that be because I did not specifically upgrade my backup drive from Tiger to Leopard?
Hope this is an easy one to answer. Thanks

yes, most probably that is an old version of Mail - i.e. Tiger - and is not compatible with Leopard. You would need to replace it with the newer Leopard version of Mail
    hope this helps
