These "streaks" appear to be area of too high frequency scanning; they can be cleared by scrolling up and/or down.

hello, maybe that's an issue with hardware acceleration - please try [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL|updating your graphics driver]], or in case this doesn't solve the issue or there is no new version available at the moment, disable hardware acceleration in the firefox ''menu [[Image:New Fx Menu]] > options > advanced > general''.

My Ipad 2 cant find my HP3050A j661b airprint printer although the printer is connected to the same wireless network and software updates are current on all and my other laptops also work properly with this printer.further more it used to work with my IPAD2 before when I used the old wireless router but now I changed it to HAUWEI HG231f but I set everything in the same way it was. Thanks in advance.

When you change to the new router, did you re-run the CD to re-set the new SSID and password to the printer.
Otherwise your iPad will not be able "talk" to your printer.

    paul dave,
to reïnstall Mavericks on your 13-inch Mid 2012 MacBook Pro, you can try booting into Recovery mode by holding down ⌘R as your MacBook Pro starts up. Eventually it will show an OS X Utilities menu on the desktop; select Reïnstall OS X from that menu, and follow the instructions which it provides to reïnstall it onto its internal disk.

  • Since loading Firefox version 5 all my emails from talktalk have all become "undefined" and will not allow me to click onto open box. Only access from other computers with different browsers will. Problem with Firefox or problem with Talktalk?

I tried going to system restore, but could not open any pages at all after going to a system restore point. Had to reverse this as could not access anything at all then via Mozilla Firefox icon.

    Hi David,
Thank you for your detailed question. It sounds like the real issue is pdf files. Are there any antivirus/firewalls that might be blocking this specific file type? or are there any preferences in your control panel that might be blocking this?
Do you have any stored preferences for PDF files in Firefox?

    Hello abmorgan646
Check out the article below to try out a few things to resolve issues with the flickering display on your MacBook Pro Retina. You may need to reset the NVRAM, if it does not resolve the issue, then there are links fur further assistance.

  • How do I use two external monitors with my laptop?

I have a new Pavilion dm4-301 d cl Entertainment PC.   My OS is Windows 7.   I am used to using two external monitors with a docking station.   This new laptop does not have a docking station.  What do I need to get  to use two external monitors?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Certainly not without a dock but even with, HP laptop docks pretty well limit you to one of the external monitor ports, even if there are two on the dock. We have used a device called an Atlona AT-HDPIX2 which is a usb to hdmi adapter. It provides a third monitor capability for a laptop....use the native external monitor port and the internal laptop display and then this device gives a third monitor which is full configurable from the Windows 7 display interface...clone, extend, etc. It allows full HD resolution and is responsive enough for even light gaming.  HP makes no true docking station for your laptop.

  • Which TV technology if also use as computer monitor?

I am planning on buying a HDTV (1080p) this Fall/Winter. It will also be used as a monitor to a Mini or Powerbook or PB Pro.
Which type of technology works better with the computer: LCD (flat panel), LED DLP, or LCoS (Sony's SXRD)?
In term of usage percentage... I am guessing about 1/4 of time will be computer, the rest will be TV viewing.
    iMac 17 FP 1GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   768 MB RAM

in terms of computer functionality, those 3 technologies that you listed are equally functional as a computer display.
    1) they all are capable of having a digital interface, such as DVI
    2) they are all more or less are not susceptible to burn in (unlike plasma displays).
SXRD or Liquid Crystol on Silicon is a hybrid technology that has formed from LCD technology... and is quite frankly very very good looking for not a lot of money. (non-Qualia products, that is... in which case it is simply expensive)
HOWEVER, these are technologies, and the individual manufacturer's implementation of these light engines into a finished product varies from model to model. it would really depend on which device in particular, how you are going to use it, screen size, etc...
for example, DLP and SXRD are almost always front or rear projection devices, so are great if you need a larger screen (mainstream direct LCD panels top out at 65" right now) and if you can control the environmental light levels.
LCD can be either direct view display or part of a projection system. When they are used as a projection engine, they tend to look worse than similiarly design DLP or SXRD engines, but as a direct view display, look very good.
LCD displays tend to have less color accuracy, poorer black level reproduction and poorer off axis visibility compared to plasma displays (which are always lesser resolution) and even more so that CRTs, but CRT or plasma would really not be acceptable for computer use.

  • When I try to play netfix on my new mini/ old monitor I get a message to ensure my monitor is HDCP compatible... Is this because I am using an old monitor?  Do I need to buy a new one?

When I try to play Netflix on y new Mac Mini and old monitor, I get a message asking me to make sure my monitor is HDCP compliant.  Is this because I am using an old monitor?  Do I need a new one?

All kinds of bugs are being reported with Safari, from sluggish performance to it refusing to load up at all. Some users are seeing an HDCP compliant error message appear when watching Netflix, and possible solutions include switching to Silverlight rather than HTML5 or unplugging display peripherals. Alternatively, you could switch to another browser until either Apple or Netflix get around to fixing the bug.

Recently upgraded Quicktime now some but not all videos that I have produced as16:9 are displayed as 4:3. any ideas?
The usual problem is the creation of an anamorphic 16:9 file and either losing the internal flag/aspect settings or displaying the file on a media player that does not correctly use the display information embedded in the file. Physically splitting/trimming anamorphic source files in iMovie rather than splitting/trimming the source content by reference can throw away the anamorphic settings/flag when the content is re-written to the hard drive, incorrectly creating a non-anamorphic file from an anamorphic source, or incorrectly creating an anamorphic file from a non-anamorphic source can all produce your problem. To know what is happening, you will either have to provide more details regarding your workflow or provide an sample clip for examination. In some cases, depending on the video compression format involved and the target media player, the problem can be fixed without having to re-compress the file.

  • Have altered the display settings on my mac mini (version 10,6,4) it is now generating a screen that doesn't produce a signal on the HDMI tv I use as a monitor. have no visible screen so cannot reset back.

Have altered the screen resolution,(don't ask why). and am now getting a no signal message on the LG HDMI tv I use a monitor. Have tried going through an old CRT monitor, but no luck. it all worked perfectly before I meddled. Cannot see a screen to reset to a resolution that works. Am new to Macs, and not exactly overburdened with tech know how. Help please.

thanks for your reply Stefan. have reset the pram, but no luck. still getting unsupported signal message. also tried connecting to the tv via an HDMI cable, then get the tv to detect the display. managed to get a picture of a screen saver ( purple galaxy) but this was competely static, could not get any further response, would really appreciate anything further you could add.

I can't import vertical photos to my iPad using the camera connection kit. Horizontal photos import fine, but verticals have a red exclamation mark, and do not import. Help!?

I have the same problem and apple needs to fix this - but in the mean time you can manually select the vertical photos then "import - import selected" and you can get your verticals. We need a better fix. THIS IS A BUG!

Wow, Karan Taneja, you've just embarrassed yourself on a worldwide support forum.  Not only is your post ridiculous and completely inappropriate for a technical support forum, but it also shows your ignorance as to whom you think the audience is.  Apple is not here.  It's users, like you.
If you would have spent half the time actually reading the Terms of Use of this forum that YOU agreed to by signing up to post, as you did composing that usesless, inappropriate post, you (and the rest of us on this forum) would have been much better off.
