Using a trusted application endpoint to initiate a scheduled conference
I am trying to develop a UCMA 4.0 application on top of Lync 2013 whereby I use a trusted application endpoint to create a scheduled conference. Prior to the conference I would like to send the details of when the conference will take place and how to connect
via mail. During the process of the conference I would like to be able to invite users ad-hoc by dialing out to them.
I have successfully managed to get the ad-hoc part of this functionality working using an app I developed based on the TrustedConferenceParticipant example in the UCMA 4.0 documentation, however I cannot get the trusted application endpoint to create a scheduled
conference.
I did attempt to run the ConfernceManagement example, however even though the logs showed that all the audio-visual channels had been successfully created and connected, the actual Lync Clients received no invitation and were not connected to the conference.

Generating a trusted application key
I'm trying to use SOAP to connect to groupwise using a trusted application key, but I can't seem to figure out how to generate one in the first place.
The documentation here seems to indicate that I need to run some program that will create one for me - where is this obtained (since from other reading it doesn't appear that it can be done within consoleone)?Mike is correct, but .....

Having HotSync error message on my M130 when I press hotsync button. USB cable at cradle and on computer are OK. Computer recognized Palm software, and device, and displays the hotsync symbol in the tray. I have trie all 4 USB connections on my Dell Inspiron running Windows XP home edition. NO LUCK! Hot Sync icon will come up, but when pressed on the cradle button or initiated from the M130 screen, the error messages reads as follows:
"Unable to initiate HotSync operation because the port is in use by another application." I have checked "My Computer", Control panel port assignments in the hardware section. No conflect noted. All ports open and operating. No port conflict or channel conflict issues. ?????

I have completed the Cisco VCS to Lync 2013 integration found here but needless to say, the guide
is very much lacking in clarity on the Lync end and doesn't take larger deployments into consideration; or I'm just missing something.
Most of the document thinks of Lync as a single pool entity but in my case, we have two pools on campus. My question is as follows:
Can I use DNS to trick the Lync topology builder into thinking there is an alternate device that can be assigned to a trusted application?Integration and communication between Lync 2013 and Cisco Voice Communication Server, in conjunction with Cisco Tandberg room units.
I wasn't aware of the change taking place site wide and assumed that since the application lists and only accepts my Pool1 as a next hop that the static line between the two could only travel server to server (pool).
Video initiation works from Pool1 to Cisco and vice versa. Video integration between Pool2 and Cisco will only initialize if started by the Cisco endpoint dialing said Lync client. Presence information (provided by Jabber) works for users in
Lync Pool1 but not in Pool2. -
Z22 sync with Win7 64 bit via IR: error that port is in use by another application.
I've read the solution for syncing a Z22 with Win7/Vista 64-bit. I have a USB-to-IrDA adapter that is working. I've set Hotsync on both the Z22 and PC to Infrared. When I start to sync, I get a message on the Z22: "Unable to initiate HotSync operation because the port is in use by another application". I can beam files from the Z22 to the PC with no problem. I'm not aware of any other app using the port. (When I put the Z22 in range of the IR adapter, the "send files" window comes up on the PC. I've tried syncing with this window open and closed, and the error's the same either way.) Any suggestions?

We connected/synced a Z22 to windows 7 64 bit PC via a IR adapter Startech USB2IRX. Using a driver downloaded directly from their website, not the CD that comes with the adapter, driver installation was smooth. The installation application installed it without problems. (I also tried an adapter from cables unlimited IrDA wireless bridge. Then I had to install the drivers for windows vista 64bit manually onto my win 7 64 bit machine.) After driver installation, we were getting an error indicating that the port is in use by another application. And we were stuck until I read a post which suggests a soft-reset on the palm. After that it was smooth sailing.
Palm really is going the way of the dinosaur-otherwise they would have had a usb driver for windows 7 64 at this point. But it you need to as I did you should be able to sync your device. -
Synchronizer setup - Groupwise PO Trusted Application Failed

I am able to authenticate LDAP but when it comes to synchronizing the Groupwise PO it gives a fail. The groupwise server is version 8.0x only configured to send mail internally within the domain.
I've added Datasync to trusted applications and issued a Key. I've copied that key to the Datasync server and point to it.
I've issued a server cert to be used by my groupwise PO using gwscrgen.
I've checked that SOAP option in the PO Agent settings
I've double-checked the port for SOAP Internal that needs to be used by the PO.
I have restarted the PO after making the changes.
I am able to telnet to the IP : soap port from the datasync server
But still the Synchronizer setup fails.

IPhone features a developer can use in an application
Which feature(s) among Camera, audio/video player, making/receiving a call, sending/receiving SMS, bluetooth connectivity, address book, GPS receiver, accelerometer and all what I missed mentioning ... can be used/invoked from an iPhone application.
You can access: the camera (both camera roll and photo library), GPS (location services), address book, accelerometer data, and network (including bonjour). All of these must be accessed via the provided APIs.
You can display video and play audio, however you cannot access the user's iTunes library.
You can initiate a phone call, email, map display, or other application that has registered a URL scheme that you are aware of and want to use; however your application will terminate upon doing so. Note that SMS is not published and is therefore unavailable for App Store apps.
Access to system databases such as the call log, SMS history, etc (basically anything other than the address book) is not permitted.
You may not access the hardware directly (i.e. bluetooth, usb port, etc).

I'm having dropped connection problems while using VyprVPN. My Usenet tech support said,
"For good measure, it may be a wise idea to set VyprVPN itself as a trusted application in your firewall/antivirus programs, or temporarily disable those programs to see if the issue persists. It could be that one of those programs is closing the port after a certain amount of time. If you are behind a router, bypassing it and connecting straight to your modem may rule out timing-related port issues there as well."
I was able to work with my A/V program, but can't figure out how to set it truste/port forward on the router/firewall. -

user564999I am a little new to library management in this environment. I am also doing CDB Development and since the libraries are different from what is bundled with JDeveloper 10.1.3.x, I am curious, how did you end up dealing with the library conflicts in a production environment?
Also, I was under the impression that libraries defined in the application and included in the deploy (ear file) would take presidence over the "global" libraries. Is this not correct?

Error while loading an XML document using a structured application
Hi,
I try to load an XML document using a structured application defined in the default structapps.fm
My code is shown down, extracted from the FDK API code sample.
Problem, I always have the same message :
"Cannot find the file named e:\xml\AdobeFrameMaker10\file. Make sure that the file exists. "
Where "e:\xml\AdobeFrameMaker10\" is my install directory.
So I assume that frame try to find the structapps.fm file but does not find it.
What else can it be ?
Does anyone knowns how to achieve this simple task using extendScript ?

Depending on the object "myLastFile", the method openDlg might not even exist (if the myLastFile object is not a File object, for instance). And I do not see any need for the myLastFile anyhow, as you are presenting a dialog to select a file to open. I recommend using the global ChooseFile( ) method instead. This will give you a filename as string in full path notation, or null when no file was selected in the dialog. I am not sure what your ExtendScript documentation states about the return value for ChooseFile, but if that differs from what I am telling you here, the documentation is wrong. So, if you replace the first lines of your code with the following it should work:

While writing this, I see that Russ has already given you the same advice. Use the symbolic constant value I indicated to use the ChooseFile dialog to select a single file (it can also be used to select a directory or open a file - but you want to control the opening process yourself). Note that this method allows you to set a start directory for the dialog (second parameter). The ESTK autocompletion also gives you a fifth parameter "helplink" which is undocumented and can safely be ignored.

I recently upgraded our family's mac to OS X. I thought this was the perfect time to create and use "user accounts". We had always used 1 main account. So how do I use software or applications with a lot of data like Quicken under my own user account? I wanted to be able to manage my own itunes library, iphone apps, messages. But I still really need to use the Stuff I have in Quicken essentials. I don't want to have to restart all my work done in Quicken already.
I haven't used Quicken in a while, but most applications store your files in your Documents folder. Is that where your Quicken data file is? What you do next depends on how many family members need to get at that data.
If multiple family members need to use the Quicken data file, try moving it to the Documents folder in the Shared account. That is an account that all accounts can see. It's at the same level as the other accounts. In other words, Shared is one level up from your Home account, or Hard Drive/Users/Shared.
If you're the only one allowed to see that Quicken data, move the Quicken data file from the old main account to your account, and don't leave a copy behind. You can use the Shared folder as a way station for the transfer since you won't be able to see both accounts' Documents folders at the same time (because you're not allowed to peek into other people's accounts). Or you can use another disk or server for the transfer, as long as you can get to it when logged into either account. -
How can I eject my ipod when neither itunes not the "safe to eject" button will allow it. Itunes says "...cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application." The safe to eject button says "The device 'generic volume' cannot be stopped because a program is still accessing it." The has never happened before. The only thing new is that I added an iPad yesterday. Thanks.
Go to your computer's System Tray and try ejecting. If you can't eject, there is an application that is trying to access your iPod.
Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx and download ProcessExplorer.
Go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555665 and follow the instructions under Resolution.
Note that this is a good, general process any time you can't access any file.

Why do you need to restore your iPod to resync your content back over to it from your iTunes library? You should just be able to configure the content to sync to your device as you did before this problem occurred.

We just moved from the United States to Costa Rica. The first two days my mac worked great. Then all of a sudden I was trying to use a game application and the screen went black and there is a white cursor which I can move around, but I can't escape it. When I restart it seems okay and I see my main screen, but only for a second and then it goes black again.

Hi,
I was trying to save a copy of my iphoto library by copying images to my external harddrive. I wasn't sure how to do it, realised the hard drive is not compatible. Now the iphoto library wont open and reads "iphoto library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable".
I have tried to use options command and click on iphoto then rebuild yet nothing happens and same error message occurs.
I have gone to my personal drive, desktop, iphoto library, and found file Albumdata.xml and when i click on it, there is a lot of text in it, i am assuming these are all my photos.
I have tried clicking and dragging this file to iphoto app and it doesn't work, as the same error comes up in iphoto being in use or unreadable....
What am I meant to do with albumdata.xml file and how do I reopen Iphoto from here on in?
Please help as I am not technically minded and still trying to understand how to use the Macbook at all as I am used to Microsoft.

KSRule Number One - NEVER go directly uinto the iPhoto library - there are no user servicable parts in it and making any change no matter how small can corrupt your library and cause data or photo loss
Exactly how were you trying to save a copy of your iPhoto library?
Albumdata.xml does not contain your photos - and again NEVER make any changes to the content of the iPhoto library - no dragging - no changes - never go into the library
We need to know exactly what you did
And probalby the easiest solution is to load your backup from before you messed things up
For reference after you get things working
Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive
