Using alias addresses from Account pull-down menu

My main computer is in for repair and I started using my G4 for Mail. I have a Mobile Me/.Mac account and have several alias addresses. On my computer with Leopard, the From account pull down- menu has my alias accounts to choose to send from. This, the Tiger machine does not. Only has my primary Mobile me account to choose from. Is there a way to get my aliases to show in the pull-down. I was syncing the mail boxes for a while, but that didn't seem to do what I wanted.

Is there a way to get my aliases to show in the pull-down?
Go to Preferences > Accounts, select the account in question, and add the alias email addresses after the Email Address field for the account, separated by commas. Save the changes, then restart Mail.

In Mail 3.6 how can I delete address from the drop down menu?

When I update an email address in the Address Book, the drop down menu in a new email is still the old address.

I think I figured it out. I have to click on the arrow beside the smart address in a new email and delete it there. I tried removing previous recipients but without success. I'm not sure what the name of my software is. Maybe snow leopard. How can I find that?

Is the "Slideshow" option removed from Action pull down menu in Leopard?

In Tiger, I had the ability to launch a quick slideshow from the Action pulldown menu. Did that get moved somewhere else? Or did Apple remove it from Leopard?

you have to press hold option. then the slideshow option will show up in the action menu and also the quicklook button will change to the slideshow button. even faster is to enter commandoptiony instead of using menus.

"special characters" window (from 'edit' pull down menu) does appear!

Anyone else from a solution to this?
I am able to select the "special character" tab from 'edit' but no window appears!

New Tab no longer works, either from the pull-down menu or the "+" sign. Nothing happens.

This behavior just started today without any warning. I've closed and restarted Firefox several times without fixing it. I downloaded an update 3.6.13 for Windows but the same problem persists. New Window works fine, but New Tab does nothing.

That is a problem with the Ask<i></i>.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

Multicolumn listbox pull-down menu

Hello,
please i need to insert data in each element of a multicolumn listbox. each data inserted come from a pull-down menu.
My question: is there a way to transform each element of a muticolumn listbox to a pull-down menu ?
if not, how could i assign the data selected from a menu to an element in the multicolumn listbox ?

You have 2 problems:
The combobox's Z-order is that it's in the back. You need to move it to the front. Select the table, and select the "Move To Back" command from the Z-order button in the toolbar.
The "Tableau" array is initially empty. When you perform a Replace Array Subset you're trying to replace an element in an empty array. Result: empty array.
Other issues:
You need an event case for the "Stop" button. The way it's coded now, clicking the "Stop" button will not stop the VI until another event occurs, which in your case is that someone clicks in the second column.,
You have a few extra unnecessary property nodes. See attached picture.
You can use the error cluster to enforce data dependency, and therefore execution order, eliminating the need for the sequence structure, which is extraneous. See second attached picture.
"<Empty>" is not one of the valid strings in the combobox, so this test will never work.

Bookmark and pull down menu

Hi,
I need some help. In the attached word document (.docx), all my bookmarks are in the last colomn of this template. When I run my program, things work well but I am not able to remove the "choose an item" that is coming from the pull down menu located at that place.
Please run the program you will understand what I mean.

It appears the Report Generation Toolkit does not offer functions for directly modifying combo boxes. The only option I know of is using an ActiveX control - ActiveX being the framework for controlling Microsoft software remotely. We offer functions for using ActiveX in LabVIEW and provide some examples for programmatically changing ActiveX controls – particularly for Excel. I recommend studying these examples and reviewing Microsoft’s ActiveX documentation.
That being said, learning how to use ActiveX is not trivial and this may be more effort than you are willing to put into the project. However this is one possible solution.

Itunes Genre pull-down menu

I'd like to customize the genre pulldown menu. currently there must be nearly a hundred genres and I'd like to have just the ones I'm using available. I've read in other posts you can't change the built-in genres (of which there are many I don't wish to use). I've also read customized genres will remove themselves if nothing in your library is using it - this is not true, I've a dozen or more old genre names I no longer use which remain in the pull-down menu.
There must be a way (to hack into package contents somewhere if nothing else) to customize this list, or a program which will do this??
Anyone know or have any ideas? I've about 70GB of music and am very anal about my music files and would like to streamline my options if I can.

some of the genres seem to be built-in and nothing will remove them. I have absolutely no "easy listening", but the genre is still there.
About the only thing I could suggest about old genres that you're not using anymore, click on the browse button in the upper right and look to see if those genres are actually gone.
I'm probably just as anal about my about my music files as you are. Those "extra" genres only show up when you look in the drop-down menu in the Info panel for that song. I'd just ignore those extra genres since the only place you have to see them is in that drop down box. They don't show up when you're browsing. If they do then you must have some songs using those genres. I know that's not much of a suggestion. If anyone else knows of a way to remove the unwanted genres I'd be happy to hear about it too.

Too many addresses in mail's "From" pull-down menu

i have 3 mobileme addresses, a few of aliases, and 1 gmail account. my problem is this:
when composing a new message, there are too many addresses the "from" pull-down menu, because mail includes both the .mac and .me versions of each of my aliases. so, instead of a list of 6 addresses, mail shows 10. furthermore, the addresses appear, in the menu, in a random order, making it even harder to find and select the address i need:

Firefox 3.6 had a "Bookmark All Tabs" in the Bookmarks Pull down menu. How can I "Bookmark All Tabs" using Firefox 4.0.1

I recently updated to Firefox 4.0.1 from Firefox 3.6. Firefox 3.6 had a "Bookmark All Tabs" in the Bookmarks pull down menu. There isn't a "Bookmark All Tabs" in the Firefox 4.0.1 Bookmarks pull down menu. Has this feature been eliminated from Firefox 4.0.1? If I want to save 24 tabs in one window of Firefox and 14 tabs in another window of Firefox, do I have to save all the tabs individually? How can I set the options, preferences, etc. so that I can "Bookmark All Tabs" at once in a window of Firefox 4.0.1. I am running Firefox 4.0.1 on a desktop computer with Windows7 Professional OS with Firefox as my default browser.

Right click a tab and you will get the option to bookmark all tabs. Or use keyboard '''Alt + B''' which opens the old style menu. You can make changes to Firefox, as explained in this post: [/questions/799856#answer-155765]

I can't use my account pull-downs in E-trade with Firefox 4. Need a fix at Firefox??

After loading newest Firefox 4.0, I logged into my E-trade brokerage account and tried to use a pull down menu to look at a portfolio, but the menu doesn't respond. I opened an Internet Explorer browser and opened E-trade and everything worked.
Seems like the new version of Firefox either has glitch or my PC needs to be modified for cookies?? or cache issues.
Could some one look at this and get back to me. Very annoying not to be able to use 4.0 for my investments!

Has there been a fix for Firefox 4.0 in the case of using ETRADE? I am using the Mac OS version of Firefox 4. I loved Firefox, but the majority of my day is spent on the ETRADE website. How can we install the old version of Firefox? Was there an update and I missed it?

Display profiles via a pull down menu from menu bar?

I'm often switching my display profiles on my iBook-- depending on sunlight, lighting conditions, etc.
Is there any software or Apple setting that would give me a pull down menu of my choices from the menu bar?
Right now I have the monitors or whatever it is on my menu bar, but that requires multiple steps-- selecting Displays Preferences, waiting for it to come up, then clicking on the Color Tab, and finally picking one of the display profiles.
I'd much rather have a one-step pull down menu. Anything like that?
Also what does "Recent Items" mean in that menu?

Open the AppleScript Utility in the /Applications/AppleScript/ folder and check the box to display the script menu. One of the choices in the script menu under ColorSync will enable you to change your display profile. If you know the names and paths of the profiles, additional scripts can be created that would change it in a single step. The lines of code needed are:

If you still have this concern: You can only use the alias address linked to the main iCloud account that you backup your iPad to. You can check that going to Setting-iCloud and check the Account email address.
I think this restriction is rather rediculous. I don't see why we can't configure an alias from a different iCloud account the same way we do for a Gmail account. I hope Apple fixes this in iOS 6.
