Using Garageband and I cannot hear previously recorded tracks on headphones. Prefs are set to output on EMU0404 my audio device - this did work but now is not working.
I am using Garageband and I cannot hear the previously recorded tracks on my headphones. I am using an audio input/output device, EMU0404 - this was previously working fine but stopped. All cables check out OK and so does the unit - I have updated to the latest version of Garageband but this did not help. Any suggestion?

I cannot see anything wrong with the EMU0404. This is what puzzels me ... Garageband looks OK - headphones are OK - EMU looks OK.

TS3367 facetime used to work but now does not work on any of my devices
I have been in regular contact until about 4 days ago using facetime on my iphone 5 imac 10.7.5. ipad 2 now none of these devices work from incoming calls from Philipinnes. Take note the caller had latest macbook pro 13 inch and is able to call Guam on fatetime with success. What is happening why is incoming calls alway failing. This has been 4 days running and is not good enough. Okay I havent got the latest updates but why in the late few days whould this effect anything. I mean 3 devices and none of them work. This is most frustrating and annoying. I have intead used skype which does work but at night time the camera is not as clear. Tanke note also earlier in the year I received calls from Vietnam and although I did have dropouts was always able to connect only these last four days have had no success. Also I have not been able to call out. The wireless has full bar and am near the modem that is not an issue. Unless there has been a recent change why is htis not working all of a sudden.
THere seems to be a FaceTime issue and some users who have been in contact with Apple support claim that Apple is working on this.
I have read many posts on the issue and have seen that there are many reporting that when they have updated their various devices to the latest software, the issue has been resolved.
You can wait for Apple to resolve the issue OR you can update everything to the latest software and see if this solves your issues. -

Could it be that some app is causing issue. I can connect my car and computer over Bluetooth but not ipad mini.
On the other had ipad is connecting to other iPhone but only not mine.
Still showing ipad not supported message. And also shows not paired.

Installed Windows 8 on a late 2011 MacBook Air and was working fine now keyboard not working so cannot enter password? Caplocks key works but I am locked out on my own PC and cannot seem to get it to recognize built in keyboard,bluetooth,generic USB one.
Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -

My iPhone 4S accidentally fell into a very shallow bit of water. The phone was wet, but worked afterwards for a short bit. Now it's not working, so I called and got a replacement phone coming. Same exact phone. Can I use the old Sim card in the new phone without harming anything? I don't know if the sim card got messed up or not, but I had a lot of pictures and messages and my contacts on my phone, and I assume these were on the sim card or am I wrong? I just wan to know if I can use the old sim card if it's still working in the new phone that is coming, as long as there was no damage to it? Thanks
I think I had it on the iCloud, I just changed computers and had part of my old computer backed up, where are the default iTunes info saved like the pictures and I know my contacts were backed up cuz I kept getting updated stuff that I wasn't sure about, but it was contacts where some belonged to my wife's contacts....but anyway, if the cloud backed up contacts, it should have grabbed pictures too? Like I asked before, if they were backed up to the computer, is there a default iTunes folder they are saved to? I had a crap load of pictures on there that I usually could really access if I was connected to wi-fi. I turned off my data stuff as I only have 4GB and between me and my 2 kids, we seemed to use up a lot of it. My son would play music from Pandora during work, and use up all our data til I limited him to only 3GB, my daughter and I barely used 1GB. Anyway, thanks to everybody that is answering. I thought I might have done good finding the dang sim card, but pointless I guess.

Sorry guys, I don't know a **** of a lot about cell phones, but I do know about memory cards, but not sim cards that act like memory cards or look like them anyway. What is the purpose of a sim card if I may ask a stupid question since they don't hold any data from my phone stuff. Your webpages/tabs are still there. When you start firefox again, there is a "Restore Previous Session" icon below. If you click that, it will open up all your tabs again.

Script that worked in CS does not work in CS4 - multiple open page, print , pdf export and close
I had a script that worked great for me in Indesign CS. But now does not work in CS4. Anyone knows what needs to be done to make it work again ?
When I drop folder with indesign files on top of this script:
1. opens first page

First thing I noticed is the interaction level is set off. If you comment out this line
set user interaction level to never interact
you might be able to pinpoint the exact error -- ID will display a standard "failed" dialog, hopefully showing the line that it fails on.
A quick question: the script assumes two presets in your InDesign: one for print ("letter size") and one for PDFs ("pdf preset name"):

Do these actually exist in your CS4, with the same (non)capitalization and spaces? -
I'm trying to record audio into my iPad2 using GarageBand and an iRig, but I can't monitor my tracks at the same time as recording, meaning if I lay down a drum track and attempt to record guitar, I can't hear the drums while recording. Thoughts?
Hi, I have this exact same problem. I haven't been using an iRig, just a cheap USB-jack cable. I managed to do this with the first cable I bought, but since it broke I've been unable to find a replacement that allows me to hear the drums while recording. DId you manage to get over this issue? Since yesterday callers and receivers cannot hear me on my iPhone 3G
I'm having the same trouble with iPhone 4S. Since yesterday tried to make call and receiver could not hear me. Went on forums where it was suggested I restore phone. I did this and it fixed the problem temporarily. Next iTunes sync restored from backup and problem returned again this morning. I have restored again as new phone and problem still exists. I know the phone microphone works as it can record a voice memo with no problem, so the issue is software. Is it expecting too much for a phone to actually work as it was intended?

Ok, so I completely feel like this is a stupid question for those of you already in the know and recording tracks onto your Computers DAW from instrument apps on the iPad and other i devices. I can not seem to find out exactly what connector or unit I need to be able to connect and use my ipad as a instrument to record tracks onto logic. I have an ipad2 that I want to connect to my apogee duet 2 interface which is obviously connected to my Mac. I know Logic comes with plenty of drum and synth options but I still want to be able to use beatmaker, jam up pro and the sunrizer synth apps on some of my tracks. I do have the camera conversion adaptors. So my question is, do I just run from the camera adapter in the ipad into the midi port on my apogee interface? (I'm new to and still learning about midi) Or is there a special 30 pin cable I need to get that runs from the ipad into the XLR or quarter inch in the break out cables on the apogee? I did find one cord out there that plugged into the ipad and had left and right XLR connectors but my duets break out cable only has two inputs each is their own channel. Also , if the cable I need isn't midi and does connect to the breakout cables, do I set it as an instrument or as a mic in the apogee software? Or am I completely way off base and needing something different all together. Any help would be much appreciated!
I have a fare amount of experience when it comes to recording, set up and the flow of standard instruments, using external hardware and plugins. But the last few weeks I spent a lot of time programming some great beats in beatmaker on my ipad and I want to track them into Logic. It seemed like no matter how I worded the questions when researching what I thought was and should be simple to figure it out, it just took me to answers I wasn't looking for. Thank you ahead of time. Like I said I'm just starting to get out of my comfort zone and learn about midi and the more digital side of things. So sorry about any ignorance concerning that side of things.The new Apogee Duet for iPad and Mac, is compaible with iOS devices and includes a USB Midi input.
