Can I use my Apple TV box in someone else's home whilst I stay there for a couple of days?

So long as the Apple TV can be connected to a working Wi-Fi or ethernet connection, the Apple TV should function just as well.

click on apple ID listed there
select Sign Out
sign in with the proper account
from then on, when the store ask for your password it should be with the correct ID

I tried what you said again but without success. I even updated the driver so that that audio driver is the same as the graphics driver i.e.. NVIDIA but this has not helped either:

Everything Rick has said is like an echo to what is happening to me.
I have tried re-installing iTunes, and restarting the Bonjour service, sadly there is no change.
earlier before i updated iTunes it recognised my iPod but said that I had to update iTunes in order for it to work.
So i updated iTunes but now it's not even showing the device anywhere.
In case this helps:

1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again

Just moved my apple box from one room to another and I'm having problems when I try to sign in using my Apple ID.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

Is an Apple TV box much use to an English speaker in spain?

I am a Brit (one of many thousands) who lives in Spain, with a UK credit card registered to my Spanish address. I do not speak Spanish.
My son lives in the States and is a huge fan of the Apple TV. It does seem a great idea and so I am looking to buy one so that I can purchase or rent films to watch on my TV.
But now I am wondering if there is any point in buying one because from what I am reading around the Apple site and others, it will not be possible to purchase or rent films from iTunes in the English language. (It also appears that Netflix is not available here.)
Having read all the various comments about this subject I can't see that it will be much use to me. Am I right in that assumption? Should I forget it?

Because I live in Spain, I cannot download English language films from the UK nor the US iTunes Store. This is apparently because I live in Spain.
If I connect to iTunes I am sent to the Spanish iTunes Store. Apparently it is because:
1) I have a Spanish IP address
2) And although I have a UK credit card, it is registered to my Spanish address, so anyway I can only buy/rent films from the Spanish store. In Spanish.
So Apple insist that I use the Spanish iTunes. Which is in Spanish. I cannot download films from the US or UK.
Though I'd love to be told that all the above is wrong, from what I have read on various forums it isn't wrong. So I cannot see the point in buying an Apple TV box.

One clue: I have found a reliable way to solve the problem when it happens.
In my network, I have the main Airport Extreme (Gen 1) which is connected to my router, which distributes IP addresses to my internal subnet. The other two AEs (one Gen 4, one Gen 5) are set to extend the network.
When I get this problem with an AppleTV 2 that can "see" my library, but when I try to open it, it says it couldn't find the library, it seems to have to do with a change in which Airport Extreme it's talking to.
If I restart the main Airport Extreme from the Airport Utility, effectively restarting the entire wireless network, then when the network resumes, every AppleTV 2 is happy again.
Unfortuntely, the problem does seem to recur - but I'm wondering if it's because temporary interference leads an AppleTV 2 to try to connect to a different AE, and somehow that's mucking with the Home Sharing. Remember, internet access (Trailers, Store, Netflix) have no issues. Purely Home Sharing.

I purchased a television series and halfway through downloading, it stopped and iTunes told me that my computer is already associated with an apple ID, but I bought the show using my apple ID, the same one I'm using to try to download. Help?

Okay, so I purchased the first season of American Horror Story, and began to download the season from the cloud. It started great, and I managed to download the first seven episodes, before having a message box pop up and say that my cloud session has been expired. Now, every time I click the little cloud button on the TV cover, or beside the episode titles, iTunes tells me "This computer is already associated with an Apple ID." But I bought the season using my own Apple ID, and it's telling me that my computer can use a Apple ID within 77 days. But I don't want to use another Apple ID, I want to use my own. I have no idea why this is happening and I would like to download and watch the items I have bought with my own money. Thank you for your help.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.

How can I use Back to My Mac using my Apple ID

I'm having problems accessing my other computers using Back to My Mac. I've gone into System Prefference>iCloud and turn on Back to My Mac on all mey devices. I've have also gone into my router settings and opened the appropriate ports. I can see my other divices in Finder. When I go to connect I am given a choice of "As a registered user" which works sometimes and not others and also "Using an Apple ID" when I choose this option my Apple ID appears in the drop down box (and is the only option in the drop down box). Howevere, when I click "Connect" it comes up with Authentication failed to JQ MacBook Air.
Any Ideas

Connected Apple TV Box tonight and it said it needed an update. I ran the update, and it worked for a few minutes. Then all of a sudden, a screen popped up showing that I needed to connect via USB plug to my MacBook Air to connect to iTunes. Why??

I conneced the Apple TV and it worked fine at first. It has worked well for some time. We are using them in our school this year, as well as converting to all apple products. I have been able to pull up my computer screen through Apple TV onto our projectors. However, tonight when I started apple TV, the mirroring icon came up, and everything seemed fine. Then a message came up that the Apple TV Box needed an update. I clicked on the button to run it now, and it seemed fine. The mirroring worked for about 5 minutes after the update, then I got a screen that had a picture of the Apple TV Box and a USB cord directed toward a picture of the iTunes icon. The light on the frontof the component flashed, and I couldn't go to the menu at all. I wouldn't do anything. I no longer cold see the Airplay/mirroring icon on my computer either. I tried to shut everything off and reboot the computer and the Apple TV box. However, none of this worked.
Any suggestions??? I'm a high school football coach, and this is how our team will watch film this year. I really need to get this rectified by the end of the week, as our team will go into camp for the next two weeks.

I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?) touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.
~Remember, I am just giving an educated guess on limited information
