Hi,
Set up a new transaction for "Advance Payment to Vendor" in Cash Journal IMG. The menu path in IMG is Financial Acct --> Bank Accounting --> Business transction --> Cash Journal --> Create, Change, Delete Business Transactions. Transaction Code for this configuraiton activity is FBCJC2.
Enter Company Code, Business Transaction Type as "K" and Cash Journal Business Transaction as "Advance Payment to Vendor". This will work if you are paying to Vendor from Petty Cash.
Check Receipt from Customer is supported if you take it in Cash Journal and then later deposit to Bank. But check payment to Vendor should be handled trhough either automatic payment program or outgoing payment transaction.

    Hi Madan,
    Whenever you use FBCJ for postings, it has to be for Cash postings only. The Cash posting is default and you don't get the option to enter the cash GL. So, whenever you make postings in FBCJ, one leg has to be Cash A/c(Either DR. or CR.)
    My question to you is, why would you like to post Vendor Invoice in FBCJ? You have FB60 to post Vendor Invoice which would post a Credit on vendor and your advance postings in FBCJ would have posted a Dr. on Vendor.
    You just need to clear this Dr. and Cr. postings in T-Code F-44 and your transaction is complete. There is no need to try to post Vendor Invoice in FBCJ. Only & Only Cash transactions can be posted in FBCJ.

    Can I create DPR for advance payment to be made to Customer (thru Customer Code) thru tocde F-37 or any other way ? I understand tcode f-37 is used for advance payment to be received / received from customer. Tried by changing config thru FBKP but it creates DPR for advance payment received only.

  • Different no range/doc. type for cash journal incoming/outgoing payment

    Hi all,
    I am going to set up cash journal for a customer and they want separate number range for incoming and outgoing payments.
    I have read on this forum and actually don´t understand if that´s possible.
    If I set up two different cash journals (one for outgoing payments and one for incoming payments) the problem is that I can call all transaction type (C, B, R, E, set in transaction FBCJC2) from both. I have a cash journal for outgoing payments where I have set a separate document type and number range for G/L accounts in transaction FBCJC0 and the same for vendor outgoing payment and customer outgoing payment, but no document type for incoming payments from vendor/customer.
    When I then start to use this cash journal for outgoing payments I can´t make outgoing payments if I don´t have any money in my cash journal. Then I have to take money from my housebank by business transaction type C (receipt from bank) set in transaction FBCJC2. This becomes an incoming payment, but I got the same number range as for outgoing payments because I am in that cash journal and that number range is set per G/L account transaction per cash journal. .
    How can I come around this problem?

    Sorry for late answer. I created three document types, one for customer, one for vendor and a third for G/L postings. It was not possible to do in another way, sorry.

    I think u need not configure anyting new for this, you can use the existing Business Tran. Type K and rename it as Vendor Advance for separate identity. You can do the normal FBCJ posting.
    But doing this you will not have separate identity for the Advances paid.

    To get cash discount for my payment term, I make configuration as below
    *Step 1: Create a payment term in Maintain of Payment term
                 On immediate payment 5 % cash discount
    *Step 2: -  Define acount for Cash discount taken
                 -  Define acount for Lost Cash discount
    *Step 3: Assign the payment term to my Vendor
    *Step 4: Post a new invoice
    *Step 5: Clear it with payment immediately
    But I still don't receive cash discount

    Financial accounting ->Account receivables and payables ->vendor account->business transactions->outgoing invoice/credit memos->maintain terms of payment.
    In this  percentage coulumn u can maintain discount rates.

    Can we configure a payment term for advance payment thro OBB8. it says that customer needs to pay us in advance.
    If yes, how do we configure this.

    the accounting document is created after a delivery for a customer invoice via billing.
    i believe there is an option in SD where you have an extra tab for payment. Once the payment has been received, i.e. entered into the sales order, the delivery can be made.
    This should work for your process, however best to speak to a SD consultant to get the full picture.

  • PO history update for advance payment requests.

    We are generating advance payment requests through F-47 based on the Purchase order. The generated F-47 requests are not updating my PO history though i am generating the requests with refernce to the PO numbere and the line item.
    The PO history is getting updated only when i make the payment through F-48.
    I sthere any configuration to be done for F-47 to get updated the PO history.

    In Vendor master, maintain the Sort Key - 014 ( Purchase Order ) in Accounting Infomation Accounting., then the Purchase Order history will be update for Advance Payment.

  • In F-51 transaction was not posted,& due date field for advance payment VEN

    1.  In F-51 transaction was not posted. 
    In the above T-code I want to tranfer Invoice amount (RE) to special GL debit retention money payable the following error was throwing,
    Balancing Field "Profit Center" in the line item 001 not filled.
    2. For advance payments for vendors due date field is not appearing in document entry screen.  How   can I see due date field in document entry screen.
      In OB41 I changed the field status for posting key 29 in payment transations I made due date field required, but it is not appearing due date field in document entry screen, while posting transaction.
    Please advise on this.

    Hi thru f-51 u cannot post the transaction here u can enter first line item and select process open item and post it and the base line date is already entered in invoice document based on that one the advance amount is adjusted u con't enter that base line date at the time of advance payment and also the payment terms are maintained in vendor master based on that on also due date is calculated i hope it will be helpful.
