Using remote desktop web access (RDWEB) with remoteapps and a traditional remote desktop

I configured windows 2012 r2 remote desktop services and remote desktop web access (rdweb) and was able to click the icon on the rdweb page to log on to a remote desktop session. When I published a remoteapp program, the remote desktop icon went away. How
do I get it back? Do I need to publish remote desktop as a remoteapp so users can both use remote apps and log on to a traditional remote desktop session?
thanks in advance for the help

Hi,
You can just publish RDC as RemoteApp and then can connect to the desired remote desktop connection. You can check the below snap.
Hope it helps!
Thanks.

  • I am using Microsoft OUtlook Web Access for work email and I am losing functionality. What do I do?

I use Microsoft Outlook Web Access for work emails when not at the office4 and I cannot/do not have any options to enlarge text or change fonts, etc. What do I need to do to make it work as if IE were my default browser?
    Thanks.

Outlook Web App (new name) on Exchange Server 2010 should be quite full featured. The Outlook Web Access supplied with Exchange 2003 didn't offer a very good experience for browsers other than IE...

  • Windows 2008 R2 + Remote Desktop Web Access + Single Sign-On + 2 servers

    Hi
First sorry for my English. I have got problem with run SSO with RDWeb. I configured everything follow this instructions:  http://blogs.msdn.com/b/rds/archive/2009/08/11/introducing-web-single-sign-on-for-remoteapp-and-desktop-connections.aspx
and http://blogs.technet.com/b/mrsnrub/archive/2010/03/22/remote-desktop-services-websso.aspx. After logon to RDWeb web page I click application icon. Then I see dialog box for credentials - SSO not working.
I have got 2 servers with Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard:
Server OL-AP1 with role Remote Desktop Session Host (RDSH) and certificate for digital sign RemoteApps
Server OL-AP04 with ONLY Remote Desktop Web Access (RD Web) with certificate for https
Client PC: Windows 7 SP1 with installing certificate for OL-AP01 witch I used for digital sign RemoteApps
All certificates created by enterprise domain CA - Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS)

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
Do you have RD Gateway setup in your environment?
Have you configure RD Connection Broker and set the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the RD Connection Broker server in case of RD Connection Broker mode. In RD Session mode, it is set to the FQDN of the RD Web Access server.
Client operating systems must trust the certificate with which the RemoteApp programs are signed. Suggest to install RDP 8.1 for client OS.
Do you have a trusted certificate with a matching name configured on your RDSH server in RD Session Host Configuration? (Means cert must match the name that clients use to connect to it for running the RemoteApp).
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

  • Remote Desktop Web Access Administration not in menu

I am trying to figure out why RemoteApp is working and Remote Desktop connection isn't on my very simple installation. One thing I came across is that something seems to be missing from my Remote Desktop Services menu. According to the TechNet article at https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee891009(WS.10).aspx
if I should be able to access RD Web administration by following these instructions:
On the RD Web Access server, click Start, point to Administrative Tools, point to Remote Desktop Services, and then click Remote Desktop Web Access Administration.
But when I go there I find that there is no Remote Desktop Web Access Administration. Any ideas on why it doesn't exist?

Yes, that's the OS I'm using. Those settings are set properly as far as I know. Since this is all on one server, the DC (very small office that can't justify second server), I'm not using an RD Connection Broker so it's set to the RemoteApp sources and
the Source name is the internal FQDN of the server. servername.domain.local. The weird thing is that when I log in via RD Web the RemoteApps Programs tab has a Remote Desktop icon that successfully connects me to the server but the Remote Desktop tab always
fails, telling me it can't connect to the computer.

  • Audio Redirection and Remote Desktop Web Access

I recently deployed a 2012r2 Remote Desktop solution. I have a collection published for remote desktop sessions and have configured it to allow all redirection shown in the interface. However when users connect through Web Access, they do not get audio recording

Is there a way to enable this through Remote Desktop Web Access?

    Hi,
Glad to hear that it is up now. Please keep us informed when the issue is resolved.

  • Since installing the newest version of Firefox 4.0, I am unable to access my work e-mail which uses Lotus Domino Web Access. Can anyone please tell me how to correct this problem?

Since installing the newest version of Firefox 4.0, I am unable to access my work e-mail which uses Lotus Domino Web Access. Can anyone please tell me how to correct this problem?

Sheesh. That looks hard. I think it will fall over at this point:
"Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP" 'cos Thunderbird uses only the regular email protocols: POP, IMAP and SMTP.
Here (at work) we have in the past have had IMAP and SMTP enabled on our Exchange server so Thunderbird could then connect just like to any other regular internet-based service.
With the change here to outlook365/outlook 2010 I've had to switch to using DavMail which lets Thunderbird talk to the mail server using OWA.
I haven't (seriously) tried Exquilla. Whilst I have great respect for its author and some of his other add-ons, I saw no reason to use an add-on that required payment when DavMail works for free.

  • When accessing eBay with Firefox and launching a search, I get less results/hits with Firefox then when using Internet Explorer, why? Try it, you'll see.

For example access eBay with Firefox and launch a search on the word Frankenstein: you'll get something like 23,671 results (if you search in ''All categories''). Then quit the Firefox browser and load Microsoft Internet Explorer instead; access eBay again and repeat the very same search: this time you'll get 25,383 results. These are reral figures that I tried at 19:21 on March 20, 2014. Why does a search on eBay through Firefox report less hits than the very same search through Internet Explorer? Using Firefox rather than Microsoft Internet Explorer automatically means missing hits/results/items on eBay: that doesn't make sense but it does happen. Why is it so? Thank you, somebody, for shedding light on this problem.

Try this steps and try to load the same once again!!!
    Hello,
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
Further information can be found in the [[Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox]] article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
    Thank you.

Is it possible to flag e-mails and/or right click an e-mail to mark as read/unread, etc. when using Microsoft Outlook Web Access in Firefox on a Mac?
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
== I've never been able to figure out how to do those things in Firefox.

When you use OWA in something other than IE, you're using OWA lite and no--it is not possible to do either in OWA lite (well, new Exchange stuff makes my answer a little less emphatic but still: pretty much no). Thanks Microsoft. But this guy made it possible to mark unread/read and select all/none:

  • IBM's Lotus Domino Web Access compatibility with Mozilla Firefox 4.0.1

Why I couldn't retrieved my emails when using the Lotus Domino Web Access?
Currently I'm using DWA Release 6.5.6

You can view all email in full mode in firefox/mozilla. You will have to do following setting: -
    1. Go Add-ons under tool, find add-ons "Remote XUL Manager" and install it.
    2. Restart browser and click Remote XUL Manager under Web Developer. You will find Web developer under orange Icon of Firefox at the top of browser on left side.
    3. Launch Remote XUL Manager and click Add then provide full web link of your email access without http:// and click OK
    4. After add it, go in File and click Generate Installer and save it in your profile, if you will not get profile location then save it in C drive or anywhere, as you want.
    5. Now restart browser and lunch your email again. If you get message with option "Allow" or "Deny" then check on "Always remember this setting" and "Allow", it will repeat this three to four time and save. Now you will see all emails with attachment in full mode. Keep in mind if you attach file in new email it will ask again allow or deny then allow it and check, remember this.
Enjoy. (in case of any problem, let me inform.)
    Thanks

When the installation is done according to the documentation,

  • Palm Treo 755p -- bought new computer with Vista and downloaded Download Palm Desktop by ACCESS 6.2 -- now the sync does not work, asks for drivers

    Hello...
I am new to the Palm (~1mo.) but I was using hotsync with my old laptop which had Windows XP and was not experiencing any real problems.  That computer is going bye-bye, I bought an HP with the Vista OS and I followed the directions on downloading the Download Palm Desktop by ACCESS 6.2 from the website but now I can not get my device to sync-- The Desktop computer asks for the appropriate drivers.  I tried searching online, on the disk that came with the smartphone and even reinstalling a couple times and everything is dead in the water...
Anyone able to help me out on this?
Is there an additional patch of some sort to download?
    Post relates to: Palm m515

Just in case it is not clear...  that post was made after I bought the bluetooth adapter and tried following the advice provided in the Vista 64 Hotsync solution found! post.  Again-- my statement of not working is for the following reasons:
    1) my PC tells me that the sychronization completed with errors.
    2) when I look at the log that the Backup sychronization aborted.
    3) It almost invariably tells me that it Failed to backup 1 file(s) and that file is "NetworkProfiles2" through a "Protocol Error: Unknown error. (6410)"
    4) many of my contacts (over half) duplicate during this synchronization.
    5) many of my appointments (over half) duplicate during this synchronization.
The information about creating a virtual serial port on my PC comes from my actual palm itself.  The palm info is in the HotSynch verbage and it tells me to contact my computer manufacturer.  In doing so however they have no idea how to do this and Palm does not either.  I am still working with HP on trying to resolve that part of it but I am thinking from the hours of research that Palm wants me to create another COM port but again the help I am finding on this is beyond my pay grade so to speak...  you can check out the following link and try to help me if you like:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms885792.aspx
So... any ideas my friend?  It appears that some Vista 64-bit users are having success with a bluetooth synch but I have tried emailing those that claim to have been able to do this with no luck.  I am not having any luck (I hope my outline above is clearer)-- and no one has seemed to had any luck recently.
I would love to make this work-- I bought this phone for this functionality.

Have you moved Pages from its installed location? Or just dragged a copy to your current system?
It can't find some of its resources apparently.
