Using UC Correction as a NC correction workflow

I am trying to set up CHARM and I have found the the Normal Correction workflow is too cumbersome and actually may cause problems in our environment. I would like to use the UC Correction workflow as our maintenance cycle which occurs ever 2 weeks. Corrections that need to be imported into production could be imported as needed and the others could be imported on the 2 week schedule. Can anyone give me an argument as to why this is not a good idea.

The first time you install ChaRM I think there is a tendency to want everything to be ur.gent for flexibility. I would personally fight the urge to do this and also push back on the others that will try to coerce you into doing so.
Brilliant Point, something I came back to post in this thread, almost everything has to move quickly to prod as per most requirements, but moving into ChaRM's direction is not about just getting a new tool to handle your transports, but rather changing your approach to transports altogether. You need to convince your business stake holders to adapt to the mentality of moving to the release based approach of handling SAP ie become proactive and not reactive in terms of change management.
The normal correction brings structure to your changes and allows for proper testing. If you're throwing things in daily for non break/fix issues, I doubt you're testing everything properly before promoting it to production. It's not a best practice for sure, and *I would question why you're using ChaRM at all.*
You can establish multiple transaction types based on what needs to be delivered, but you must at all times adhere to the concept of having 2 primary types of changes, a normal one which works on the release concept, and an urgent one.
If everything moves urgent, eventually an auditor or someone like me will take issue with it.

Problem in triggering the correct workflow on AdobeForm submission for PCR

I am facing a problem involving triggering of workflows through Adobe form submission. I have created a scenario for "Employee seperation" in QISRSCENARIO transaction and assigned it to an approval workflow. I have also activated and assigned the BUS7051-Created event in the workflow Basic Data. My workflow also triggers perfectly when i submit the adobe form. Everything is perfect till here.
Now i have to create another scenario for "Request for Transfer" Now for this i had to create a seperate workflow. My problem is since both these workflows are assigned to the same event whenever i submit the "Employee seperation" form both the workflows get triggered. Is there a setting where i can configure the corresponding workflow to be triggered for the respective scenario's alone? How do we handle this situation?

I am trying to use SWB_COND for differentiating between the different workflows. I have created a virtual attribute W_SCENARIO_KEY for this. I tried populating this scenario key by using the following staement,

When i try to include W_SCENARIO_KEY as a start condition the workflow shows up an express message and fails to trigger. In ST22 i can see that there is an exception "INVALID_NOTIF_NUMBER" raised.
But if i don't set this as a start condition all the workflows activated to BUS7051-CREATED are triggered and in the WF logs i can see the correct value of W_SCENARIO_KEY for the respective notification number.
I am not sure why this happens when i set it as a start condition alone.
I instead used a select statement as shown below,

You can try to figure out which Apple ID/email address and/or password you used to activate it by going to http://iforgot.apple.com
If you can't, you'll need to contact Apple Account Security with your proof of purchase.

Was that Apple ID and password the original owner of the iPod? If not, try using the Apple ID and password of the original owner.

Chances are you mis-typed a character in the Wifi password and the devices saved that information. Now whenever you try to connect the device refers to the wrong password and the Jetpack does not accept your connection. Tell your devices to forget the wireless connection and start over.
Once you enter the proper WiFi credentials the Jetpack will allow you to connect.

Storage values under about this mac displaying incorrectly, but amount of space used IS correct. Any ideas?

I noticed recently that the "storage" under "about this mac" is displaying incorrectly. It doesn't show the correct values for my photos, videos, and audio files. It classifies this data under "other". I have been searching all over the internet, I went to the Apple genius bar yesterday and they recommended I re-install OSX. I did and it still shows up incorrectly. They were baffled, said they never really came across this issue. I have tried re-indexing spotlight, that didn't seem to help.
The amount of storage used IS correct. It just doesn't show up under the correct categories in storage, under about this mac. Also, the computer seems to work fine. No real issues. It's a mid 2012 MBP. 500gb hard drive. Most recent OSX is installed.
I DO NOT think it is local snapshots, cause my backups category is small and the amount of space used and free is correct. I have downloaded omnidisk sweeper to confirm this.
I have seen a few posts on here and around the web referring to this, but no real answers. I have also reviewed Pondini's info on this to no avail.
Does anyone have any ideas?!?!

I had installed a version of parallels with windows 7, but deleted it. Would parallels be causing my computer to index incorrectly? I I used appcleaner to delete all the parallels files so I do not have it anymore.

'You Are Not Using The Correct Type of Phone Cord' Error

Having a issue with my fax on my HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless. Tried to send a fax, it received a send error. I ran fax test and it came back with "You are not using the correct type of phone cord". Nothing has changed since I last fax'd but I check the lines and connection, everything appears ok. Phone jack is connected to 1-line and Officejet '2-ext' is connected to the phone. I use a dedicated phone # and the Officejet is set to auto answer. I can call out and receive calls on the phone connect to the Officejet. My assumption is that since I can use the phone without issue there is nothing wrong with the phone line. Any ideas?

I was having the same problem. I'm using a the 2 wire phone cord provided with the printer and still getting this error. Turns out that it related to have a phone extension plugged into the printer. If I unplug the telephone form the extension jack on the back of the printer, then the fax test passes. I was even using a 2 wire cord on the phone extension but it seems that simply having a telephone plugged into the extension jack will cause this error.
Run the test without a telephone plugged into the printer's extension jack and you should be fine.
Worked for me!

I lost my ringtones from my phone when I upgraded to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4. The ringtones are still on my computer and play in iTunes, but they won't re-transfer back to the phone. I'm using the correct iTunes account on both my computer and phone. In the iPhone view of iTunes on my computer, it shows that my phone recognizes that I had those ringtones, but there is an exclamation mark showing that my phone can't find the files. I can't delete these "placeholders" from my phone with the hopes of re-transfering the files back to the phone, either. I cannot just simply re-transfer the files from my computer back to the phone. It won't let me using the regular synch options and I can't find anything in the menus of iTunes to help me out either.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi, I also get the message "itunes could not restore the iphone because the password was incorrect" though I am never prompted to enter a password anywhere! Nor was the backup password encrypted to begin with! Really strange, any pointers will be greatly appriciated!

Diagnosis
Comparison of the field selection strings from the G/L account 156116 and the account assignment category X reveals that there is an incompatible combination of field selections for the field selection group 'CO/PP order'.
The G/L account field selection is stored in table T004F; that for the account assignment is stored in table T162K.
Pls give me your suggestion.

Go to FS00 and Select your Account and In Create / Bank / Interest Tab Double Click on Field Status group and Check the Business area Field is Set to Optional Entry. (If its set Dont Change any thing)
Now Go to OME9 and Select your Account Assignment X and Double Click and Check the Business area is set to Optional Entry. (If its Not Set then Change the Same and Save)
Logic is Both Business area Settings should be Same.

Your camera will only apply lens correction (if switched on) to JPEGs, not to RAW files. Clearly you do not want to apply it twice.

Import Settings, Use error correction

I just read that the "Use error correction when reading Audio CDs" box in iTunes Import Settings should really be on, (even though it's slower).

Always the same question : use correction or not.
Nobody knows today how this function works (except Apple may be...)
When error correct is off : in case of problem, Is the player works like a cd player, creating a /making a new information or does he pass many times until having the good information.
When error correction is on : In case of problem what happend ? does he pass many times (thats why its slower...) until having the good information ?
The way is having bit perfect at the end even it is long...

Either way the result is the same... if you forgot (or don't know) your passcode, restore the device from backup on the last computer it was synced with when the passcode was turned on... this will remove the passcode. If you do not have access to the last computer it was synced with, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.

Using "Error Correction"

When importing a CD using “Apple Lossless Encoder” is ok to leave the preference set to “Use error correction when reading Audio CDs”? I know it slows the transfer down but is the quality compromised in any way? Even on pristine CDs?

I always use the error correction. The optical drive does it's own error correction, but the software takes it one step further. I don't see it reducing the speed of an import by a significant amount. But since you're clearly a major audiophile, it seems like you would rather be safe than sorry and do the error correction no matter how pristine you think your CDs are.
