Using Windows, can you have an ipod touch and an ipad on the same itunes account with the same apple ID?
I currently have an ipod touch 4th gen. I will be getting a new ipad in a few weeks. My itunes account is on a Windows computer. Will I be able to have the ipad under the same itunes account with the same apple ID as my ipod touch so I can have all of my music from my ipod touch and other info on both deveices, without using icloud or imatch etc. Thanks!

Your iPhone and iPod can share the same iTunes account. Apps can be freely shared and used by one or both devices. You can't use money in your iTunes account to pay for your phone, but purchased apps can be used by both the iPod and iPhone.

When I first attached the ipad to my computer the option to start as a new ipad or sync from my ipod's content were available. I did neither and just ejected the ipad. I guess my question is: if I choose to start as a new ipad will it wipe out the data from my ipod touch or will it create a new backup?
I have three iDevices that I sync to one iTunes library and each device has its own unique content.
If you are Windows - launch iTunes and go to Edit>Prefernces>Devices. Check the box at the bottom that says - Prevent iPods, iPhones, etc. ... From syncing automatically, click ok. Quit iTunes.
Connect either of your devices to your computer and launch iTunes again. Click on the device name on the left side under the devices heading, now go into each and every tab of iTunes and select the content that you want to sync to that particular device. When you are done, click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes. iTunes will remember what you selected for that device the next time that you sync,
Eject your device, connect the other one and do the same thing. If you want -- turn auto sync back on using the procedure outlined above. -

You can go into settings and turn sharing off in the programs on the device you don't want to share too.

Yes. You're supposed to move it to the second device from the computer and not redownload it from the iTunes Store.

No. but you need another mail address if they what to keep their FaceTinme and Messages separate. See:

However,without different account there Contacts and Calendar would be shared. You have to create different/another ID to separate them. However, you can still use one ID for the iTunes and App stores so they can share music and apps. Just make sure that in Settings>iTunes and App stores the some account is used. If you tap on the Apple ID you can sign signout and sign into another account. -

Connect it to your computer and restore it as a new device. Then chose what music you want to sync with it and do so just like your Touch does.

you could jump on your comp and try and install it through itunes onto your ipod, if it works great but if it doesnt im sorry ill have to agree with the guys above me , youll have to get another copy off apple thats designed for your ipod

- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points

If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I believe it's 4th gen - it does have a camera (hence all the photos).
I don't want to update it to the latest iOS since I'm concerned it will slow it down too much, but it is running 5.1 I believe.
I have a Windows 8 PC and have just installed iTunes, and iCloud panel. Photostream doesn't seem to import old photos, though I've tried this route. I can't find the "enable disk use" button in the new iTunes, and when I try and open the iPod through the start menu I just find an empty DCIM folder.

thanks,When you connect each device and select them on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, then on the right-hand side you can select what to sync to that device e.g. which apps via the Apps tab, music via the Music tab etc. Those selections for each device should be remembered each time you re-connect the device, so you shouldn't have to go through the selection process each time (unless you want to change what you want to sync).

One thing you might want to try to do is using different programs you have two iPod Touches so What you can do is download this program called Bearshare™ its pretty much the same thing but instead of things being apple its bear if you get what I'm talking about right?
