Using windows media player 10 with

can you download a playlist....as a playlist....from windows media player 0 into nomad jukebox zen xtra?

Ok guys,
I called MSI support yesterday, had to repeat the scenario 3-4 times and it took
forever to make the guy understand the whole picture, he kept asking questions
he shouldn't have if he got the whole thing figured out.  No strong knowledge in my opinion.
Anyways, I tested my old GF4 with my a7n8x --> Video was fine..
Tested MSI nx6600 on my older mobo (a7v333) --> video was fine..
We obviously figured the problem was not the msi card.  the question remained though, why my GF4
was working fine with videos but not the GF6 (on same system, same software..)
I then called Asus support to make sure there was no issues with compatibility between the card
and the mobo..
But here's the thing I didn't know:  The Asus guy told me before going any further, to install
the Nvidia Unified drivers for the mobo chipset directly from Nvidia.  Guess what?  It worked !
Why the hell those chipset drivers were not included with the mobo cd !? go figure..
But anyway, as usual Asus know their product and their guy are hot..
Now, OrzMarine, since your board is an nforce chipset as well, I would go install those
unified drivers from nvidia right away..
Ohh well,  In my first post I did not want to hear answer like go to nvidia and install drivers... LOL
Secondly, What about battlefield 2 support...!?  Actually one of the main reason I changed my mobo and
got this MSI GF6 card was to be able to play that particular game...  Now are you telling me I won't be able to play
the game??  After all the trouble I went to make this system works !?!  !?!?
As I stated to the Asus guy yesterday, I should have gone Asus all along, like I always did....
Anyone have more details about Battlefield2 and msi nx6600 tdi 256 compatibility ?
Thanks
Fred

  • Can I use Windows Media Player with my Mac?

I am scheduled to have an interview via WEBEX and need to make sure that all the components of the Universal Communications Format are up and running.  When I did a diagnosis check on my MacBook Pro, the Windows Media Player 9.0 or newer said I needed a plug in to run.  Where can I find this plug in?
       Thank you!!
       Michelle Schaal

    Michelle,
You can download media components for QuickTime which will enable you to play WMA files through QuickTime on your Mac:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/windows-media-components-quicktime
Alternatively, Get the free VLC player for Mac, which will play almost all media types:
    http://vlc-media-player.en.softonic.com/mac
If the interview requires Windows Media Player to be running to conduct the interview, then I fear you may be stuck, there is not a version of Windows Media Player for Mac - It is for Windows.  Your options in this case would be to borrow a Windows PC or install a valid copy of Windows on your MacBook under BootCamp.

  • Cannot listen to online radio streaming using Windows Media Player

Online radio websites that use Windows Media Player - opens up the player in new window but instead of buffering, says that it is playing but no output/sound. Definitely not security/pop up/firewall issue. Windows Media Player works fine playing CDs etc.

    Hi there,
so, you definitively have a machine whichs plays sound and you can establish a internetconnection. I think its a pure mediaplayer problem (softwareproblem).
    You have the following options:
    1. Reinstall your mediaplayer or update it.
    2. install another mediaplayer software like winamp or some other jukebox
    3. ..no further options
Give some feedback, so I can maybe help you with your problem. ;)
    Cheers

  • CS4 using a Mac and want to play video using windows media player

Hi I am having issues with file types to play video back using Windows media player.
I am producing video using Premiere CS4 on a Mac and I need to know what format to use to have the files play in windows media player as .mp4 is not compatable with wm player.
    Thanks

I have Windows Media Player installed on my PC workstation and I do remember installing a codec so that MP4 files could play in WMPlayer 11 on Windows Vista 64-bit (should work on 32-bit also)
look near the bottom section of this link for further information.  The codec is called DirectShow
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316992#34
Otherwise if you're posting videos on a webpage for example in the mp4 format use the Quicktime html wrapper so that people using Mac's can also view your videos that are encoded for PC's.  If you encode in wmv format (Windows Media Video) then provide a link to the "Flip4Mac" application that can use Quicktime on the Mac to play Windows Media Files.  I think you can find it on www.mactopia.com .

  • View IPTV using Windows Media Player

I have a customer who does not want to install Cisco's IPTV viewer on their clients PCs. They would prefer to use Windows Media Player to view both scheduled and VoD streams from their 3427 Broadcast Servers. Is this possible and if so how is it done?
    Thanks,
    R2

    R2,
Couple of things. If you want to stay away from the installed program, you can use the IPTV plugin, which works fine.
Also, the latest versions of IPTV (I think beginning with 5.1) support the Apple Darwin (QT Streaming server) which will allow you to use the QuickTime plugin for the browser for streaming support and is also free.
If you absolutely must use Windows Media, you can do that through the integrated ACNS/IPTV package, but that's not, let's say, fully baked yet.

  • Loading iTunes music onto a Lexar MP3 using Windows Media Player

After I've purchased a song from iTunes, what do I do to load it on to a Lexar MP3 player that uses Windows Media Player? Thank you very much

Tracks purchased from any legal download store carrying major-label content, including the iTunes Store, are copy-protected (with the exception of music on EMI's labels, much of which is also available in a higher-quality, nonprotected format) and so cannot be directly converted to any other format. You can, however, burn the tracks purchased from the iTunes Store out to an audio CD, at which point it will act just like any other normal audio CD.

  • Rendering from AECS5 (Mac) for someone using Windows Media Player 11?

Does anyone know if it's possible, and if so what settings, I could render out of AECS5 on a Mac to a format someone using Window Media Player 11 in Windows XP so they could view the file?
They are unable to install any other software or codecs other than what comes stock with the XP install.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Kristin.

MPEG-2 should work. If you include audio, you will get a .mpg file which WMP should play.
Edit: Sorry, I am wrong about that; they would need to have a DVD decoder pack installed which apparently doesn't come standard.
Here are two links that don't have an answer, but have info about the problem:

  • Playing back Recorded TV Programs using Windows Media Player and only hearing Sound from Front Speakers

    Hi All,
I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit Service Pack 1 with Windows Media Player 11 installed.
When I click on one of my Recorded TV Programs to watch and hear, I can only hear the Sound coming from the Front Speakers.
When I right-click on the Program and open it up in Real Player Cloud. I can indeed watch the program and hear Clear Sound coming from all 5 Speakers plus the Subwoofer.
What setting do I change to use Windows Media Player and have sound coming from all 5 Speakers and the Subwoofer?
    Thank you!

    Hi Andreas,
    Thanks for the reply.
The link you put up, takes me to the page, but
"The requested URL /surround/www_lynnemusic_com_surround_test.wma was not found on this server."
    That was WaterFox.
    The webpage cannot be found
    This in Internet Explorer 11.0
The Files in question were Recorded by Beyond TV to my Local Hard Drive.
When I open the recording in Real Player Cloud, installed on my computer, not streaming over the Internet, I hear it correctly played.
When I use Windows Media Player, nothing can be heard from the Rear Speakers.
Speakers and Hardware are working fine.

  • What output formats support the play speed settings on a PC using windows media player?

What output formats support the play speed settings on a PC using windows media player?
Here is my need. I need to take my video clips with me on my small PC and view them at slow speed. My playback PC is small and a little slow, so I cant have a very high bitrate. It uses an ATOM processor. It uses windows media player. I noticed the slow playback option is available in some formats when opened with windows media player, other formats--feature not available. What are the best output settings to save my clips on my small PC?

Just to add a few details:
    As stated, WMP 11.0.5xxx
    OS = XP-Pro SP3
    Intel Core2 Quad 2.66GHz
    RAM = 4GB
Graphics chip = nVidia GeForce 8800M (recent, but not latest nVidia driver)
    I/O = 3x SATA II 7200 RPM 250GB
    Virtual Memory = Static 10GB on D:\
WMV's play pretty well in both Slo-Mo and at about 2-3x speed

  • On G71-340US: very low volume when using DVD player, but OK when using Windows Media Player.

Just purchased new laptop G71-340US.  Volume (at full tilt) is decent when using Windows Media Player, but when using DVD player, volume is so low I can't really hear volume on a movie unless room is completely quiet, and I am right in front of laptop. Any suggestions, or is it really this bad?

I don't have the answer, but I certainly agree. The G71-340us is severly under powered in the audio department. You would think with the extra room in the 17in. chasis they could have put a sound system with a lot more power. Other than that it's a great machine.

  • Windows Media Player with 10.4.6

My first post here so I hope I do it right.
My question relates to using the Windows Media Player with the new Operating System. I just upgraded from v.10.2 to 10.4. Once I upgraded I was no longer able to open any files in Windows Media player. I figure,no big deal, I just need to upgrade my Media Player. I downloaded Windows Media 9 Player for Mac. Installed no problem but when I try to open I get the message "The application Windows Media Player closed unexpectedly". I then downloaded and installed Flip4Mac as well, but I got the same error messsage.
Am I just missing something obvious?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Flagg
    Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Both work here without any problem. I suspect a bad installation. Start over by first deleting these from ~/Library/Preferences/: com.microsoft.mediaplayer.plist, Windows Media Favorites, Windows Media Player Prefs; these from /Library/Internet Plug-ins/: /Disabled Plug-ins/Windows Media Plugin, Flip4Mac WMV Plugin.plugin, and Flip4Mac WMV Plugin.webplugin; and the Flip4Mac WMV.prefPane from /Library/Preference Panes/Flip4Mac WMV.prefPane, restarting, repairing permissions, reinstalling WMP and see if it launches. If so, reinstall Flip4Mac and see if that launches. If you have any problems, report back.

  • Problem using Windows Media Player 10 to put music on my Muvo V

    <FONT face=Century size=3>Please Help
I hvae just bought a Creative Muvo V200 GB. I have tried using Windows Media Player 0 to load songs onto it. It goes through the motions and syncs ok and when I check 'removable' on Windows Media it shows that the songs are on there. However when I turn the MP3 Player on it registers 'no music'
I tried wiping the player by downloading the firmware and starting from scratch but still get the same problem.
Just don't like the layout of Creative so would really appreciate some advice on how to fix Windows Media.
    Thank You

Thanks for that piece of information. Player is definitely working as I have about 20 songs on it through realplayer.
Put a folder of new songs on desktop and a shortcut to my Muvo V200 but when I try to drag and drop it won't let me. All songs on the Muvo are in the root folder. Am I doing it the proper way? I'm afraid I'm a bit moronic when it comes to computers so if you can be patient perhaps you might like to send it again to me idiot speak.
    Really appreciate it

  • Using Windows Media Player, but my phone automatic...

Sorry the description is so confusing.
I have used Windows Media player successfully several times to transfer music to my Nokia 7510.
However, now whenever I plug into my computer, rather than allowing me to choose from 3 options, one of which is "PC suite" another "Media," and I'm not sure the third, it automattically chooses PC Suite. This makes it impossible to download songs.
How can I make it so that I have these three choices at the beginning again?
    Thank you very much
