Utilize existing RFQ

Hi,
Can you please help me with the following issue?
An RFQ was created based on a purchase requisition. Later on sales people decided to reject the sales order line and thereby delete the purchase requisition. They created a new sales order line in the same sales order with the same material because they had to change the item category.
How can I utilize the existing RFQ?
Is there any way of assigning the existing RFQ to the new purchase requisition and thereby being able to create a purchase order based on the RFQ?
Thanks,
Sincerely,
Ketan

Hi,
How can I refer to both PR and RFQ at the time of creation of the PO?

  • Same RFQ for two Vendors.

    Dear Experts,
I have created a RFQ and in the vendor adress i have given the vendor Number. Now if i want the same RFQ to be sent to two  vendors then how can i do it.
    Kind Regards
    Sajid

    Dear,
    1. You create an RFQ either manually or by referencing an already existing RFQ, requisition, or outline purchase agreement.
    2. You specify which vendors are to receive the RFQ. A separate document is then created for each addressee.
    3. You enter the prices and conditions set out in the quotation submitted by the vendor into the RFQ document.
    4. You carry out a comparative appraisal of several vendor quotations by means of the price comparison list.
The individual quotations are compared item by item. The mean value quotation represents the average value of the individual quotes.
    5. You can save the most favorable quotation in an info record and send rejection letters to unsuccessful bidders.
    6. You can monitor the status of follow-on activities relating to the RFQ and quotation (e.g. a contract is set up or a purchase order issued).

  • Release strategy for RFQ's not triggered after change

    Folks,
Release strategy is active for RFQ's. In case of initial creation, the release strategy is active. After releasal a change is made to the existing RFQ. However, the release strategy is not triggered. Characteristics used are:
    1) document type (AN)
    2) purchasing type (RFQ purchasing document)
It is obvious that these characteristics will not re-trigger the release strategy. On header level, there is no field in CEKKO available to re-trigger, for example total quantity? Any suggestions for a characteristic that can re-trigger the RS?

    Hi,
For RFQ Release strategy will be applicable only for Document type.No other characteristics will apply for that.
As RFQ don't have any specific table where the data is stored related to RFQ.
So we Use CEKKO which only identifies the document type of RFQ.
In your case in initial process while creating the RFQ release strategy is active.
What change you have made to the Released RFQ.

  • Modify "live" cd from existing .iso

Many posts direct interest in making "live" devices with personal preferences in Arch packages.
One possible method to utilize existing "live" CD/DVD .iso's is to uitilize the isomaster program to modify them as desired.EDIT:(non-hybrid output)
This program permits extracting and/or adding packages to an existing .iso and permits saving the result in a new .iso.  These are CD/DVD compatible.
This approach allows the user to take advantage of the boot params provided in the original .iso and permits the changes to be made.
It should permit several iterations to accomodate later desired additions/changes.
Perhaps this has been done already?  How well does it work?

Just a quick heads-up on that isomaster dosen't retain the usb-bootable part of hybrid-iso's like arch's official isos...
To fix, then install syslinux and run 'isohybrid <filename.iso>'.
I myself always changes the official arch install iso's to make them fully unattended by copying my automatic aif config to the iso and setting it up to run from /etc/rc.local...
Isomaster is nice if you want a gui app, but I preffer to just mount the iso, copy the content over, make changes and remake the iso afterwards...

  • Resetting RFQ Release Strategy

    Dear colleagues,
We are using RFQ release to select appropriate bid among set of biddings. Suppose an RFQ is approved, letu2019s say RFQ number 10, within a set of RFQsu2019. After negotiations with vendorsu2019 new bids are made, letu2019s say RFQ number 20 and 30, which has fewer prices than the approved one. In this case RFQ release should be reset, but it does not.
I know that SAP considers PO, RFQ, and Contract as purchasing documents and logic of release strategy are same.
Is there any way to achieve this requirement?
    Regards
    Metin

    Hi,
You are trying to use release for which it is not supposed to be.
Release is for only for the approval of an RFQ before it is issued to Vendor.
In your case if you are having multiple quotes for an item based on the negotiations carried out with vendor, the same should be updated to the existing RFQ created.
For example you created RFQ-R1 for vendor V1 and RFQ-R2 for Vendor V2.
When you first receive the quotations you maintain using ME47 for RFQ R1 and R2.
Now when you negotiate with V1 and get a better price the same should be updated in R1.
So this way R1 at any point of time will have the latest negotiated price.
The item changes recorded when doing the changes can be viewed if you require. You may have to create a custom report to view these.
Similarly the Me49 might need to be customized to suit to your comparison needs.
    Hope this clarifies.
    Regards

  • Is there a way to contact Apple with concepts?

I have a valid concept that would utilize existing Apple iconsumer devices in a way that hasn't been presented yet. It could probably get mostly built into an app, but think Apple itself would benefit by writing it into their AppleTV coding. Many have commented on the uniqueness of the idea right under our noses. Even Apple store employees have marvelled at the fact it isn't out there yet.
Any idea if there is a legitimate forum for presenting ideas to Apple?

    Nope.

  • Why do I need to Reformat Disk for TM?

Have a new 24" IMAC, running 10.5.2. I have a hard drive that still has 400-500gigs left. When I plugged it in the first time to move images onto my IMAC, Time Machine gave me a warning that in order to use it as the back up drive I would have to reformat to extended and thus lose all my stored files. Why is that and is there a way around it? Why couldn't it just utilize existing space?
Then I figured I'd just buy another drive for Time Machine to back up. But I don't want to leave that drive connected all the time. I'd rather just plug it in and let it back up when it recognizes the disk. Will this work or is TM going to get "confused" with multiple disks being plugged and unplugged (I usually daisy chain them as well_?

    question 1:
If your external drive is large enough, you can partition the drive.
To partition the external drive, what you need to do is open Disk Utility, select the external drive and go to partition. Select the size of the partition you want and make sure that it is formated correctly. Then you can have Time Machine use only one partition without erasing any of your data on the other.
    Question 2:
Time Machine won't get confused and the backups are only working when the drive is connected. Besides, chaining the disks won't do anything more than make your iMac have to work a little bit harder to transfer the data from the port to the external drive. It's faster to have both connected to two different ports than chaining them.

  • Export Configuration Files

I am new to Jabber and was looking for a way to export all the configurations that are made to the server.  This will help to stand up additional servers in other enviornments more quickly.  We are running Jabber XCP 5.8.1 on Windows, any ideas on how to do this?

It is worth noting that the IM&P platform is almost free because Cisco is only licensing the voice/video functionality now. If you have an existing Cisco UC 8.6+ platform with active ESW/UCSS you're good to go. If not, you only have to buy the 50-seat minimum UCL bundle to get software entitlement, even if you deploy Jabber to your entire user population.
    https://communities.cisco.com/docs/DOC-29265
When combined with "specs-based" support on non-Cisco server hardware, you might be able to utilize existing data center investments, making the migration path far cheaper.
    http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Unified_Communications_Virtualization
PS- In case you look through the documents and are confused by the requirement to have UC Manager (traditionally the PBX call agent) it's because Cisco is merging the two together products together. CUCM provides the user database and, in 9.0+, nearly all of the configuration.

  • Long list inside IN Iterator

    Hi All,
We are having performance issues (in terms of ELAPSED)TIME) in one query containing long values inside IN list.
    SQL
    SELECT A.RIC,B.DATE FROM SEC WHERE
    act_flg=1 and
    exchangecode IN ('ENP', 'LSE', 'OSL','HEL','ENA','ENB','CPH','MIL','VIR','LIS','MCE','GER','STO','SWX''VIE','JNB','ISE','TLX','IST','INS');
Composite Index is created on act_flg & exchangecode col.
If i put only 3-5 values inside IN list, then Oracle optimizer will pick up index and hance query will return rows in less then a sec.
But in FTS, it is degrading up to 3 min.
Is there any way through which i can utilize existing index ?
(INDEX HINT can not be used as CODE CHANGE is not permitted.)
-I played with diff hisograms but still index is not getting used.

  • Consuming HANA views using ABAP

    Hi Experts,
We have ABAP reports in ECC which is taking very long time to process it. So we decided to push down the complex logic to HANA where ever it is taking long time to fetch data.
We have standalone HANA System. So can we use HANA as secondary database??? If yes, how can i consume HANA views in ABAP reports??
    Can some one guide me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Krishna.

    Hi Sundar,
Thanks a lot for your valuable inputs.
You need to access the native HANA artefacts (like HANA information views) from your ABAP system using native SQL and ADBC in case HANA is not the primary DB.
       - If i want to pass values to the views can we use HANA input parameters in this case as a PLACE HOLDER       in Native SQL??? else do i need to create a procedure for it???
Basically ABAP team is optimized the code but still we are hitting with performance. So we want to utilize existing HANA databse as secondary db to push down the complex logic to HANA.
    Best Regards,

  • What should end-users initially do in BPC system?

Hi: I am seeking some guidance here. My client wants to provide a small set of end-users access to the BPC sandbox system. These users are absolutely new to BPC, haven't had any training but use Excel regularly for their analytical & planning needs. The idea is to have them gain some familiarity with the look-and-feel of BPC for financial reporting purposes and assess how well it could serve as the financial report writing tool. It is a tall order for folks who have no experience with BPC but that's the approach. Can you please advice on what activities these users should and can realistically carry out that will not only give them a good overview but also help provide meaningful feedback on the product? (Data will be loaded in the sandbox and formal training will be provided soon but this question relates to the period prior to training).
Full points will be awarded to all the helpful answers.
    Thank you very much,
    Jon

    Hello,
I have exactly same situation.  One of my prospective customers is going to start small project to evaltuate BPC for their planning tool, and requires small sandbox machine.
All replies above are useful information, also I think it is also important to consider your customer's requirement and expectation for better consulting service.
I would like to add 2 things about this topic.
    1: current Excel spreadsheets
If your customer uses tons of Excel sheets for planning process, it might be great to show the customer utilizing current Excel spread sheet by importing those to BPC and put some BPC functions like EvSND.  Then the cusomter would understand BPC is great application that enable to utilize existing Excel sheets easily.  I had some presales activities, and that seems to impress sereral prospective customers.
2: how to build sandbox machine
We're planning to build sandbox with virtual environment called "VMware".  The customer prepares just one stand alone note PC.  Then consultants make VMware files with VMware Workstation.  With VM, it is possible to make one set of files that includes OS, SQL Server, MS-Office, and BPC.  Everything is put into one file, and do not set up client server system.  I think you have to purchase VMware Workstation, but VMware Server might be free and has same functions.  The bad thing is that VM file is super heavy, I say 15GB in my teams' machine as average.  Also the note PC should be high-spec one.
I do not have much information to answer your question.  I hope that comment would help you.  If you have further question, please feel free to ask me.

  • Complex process chain

    Hi,
I need to create a process chain based on a event.
From ECC i got a program that sends same event multiple times a day.
    The conditions are given below,
    1. Process chain must be scheduled to wait for the event.
    2. If the event is received between time '020000' and '050000.
then the proces chain must proceedfurther
       else
it must not proceed and wait.
can this be achieved via process type ABAP program or any other best possibility?

    Hey Again.
Ok, I think you probably won't be able to do this with the decision between multiple alternatives.  Well, actually you could but it would take some extra work.  I've implemented custom formulas where I am and have created some for checking if a chain is active, a process is active, a chain has completed, etc... To get there though you have to first implement custom formulas.  it isn't difficult and can be extremely helpful (at least I have found them to be).  In case you are interested, here is a link to get you started on that effort (I think it's worth it even if not for this project):
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/f095592f-42f7-2a10-6ab1-c836a559b48f
So, while the solution could very well be done using a mix of custom formulas and the decision element it is probably best to simplify and use a custom abap program.  You have two choices, do this on the ECC side or on BW side.
    If done in ECC:
    1)  Create log table, or utilize existing one
    2)  Check table... if event has been raised today, then do not raise event again.
    If done in BW:
    1)  Create a chain where starter uses the even and parameter that will be raised from ECC
    2)  Create a custom ABAP program that checks if the chain has run yet today.  If not, it would raise another event to trigger the chain doing the actual processing.  If the chain has run today, the event is not raised.
While ECC side may seem simpler, you would be completely reliant on them not accidentally triggering the chain twice in one day.  So i would go with doing it on the BW side.  You can definitely check if a chain has run today and also if it has finished successfully.  Here is a list of some process chain related tables that you may find useful:
RSEVENTCHAIN - Event Chain Processing Event Table
RSEVENTHEAD - Header for the event chain
RSEVENTHEADT - Header for the event chain
    RSPCCHAIN - Process chain details
RSPCCHAINATTR - Attributes for a Process Chain
RSPCCHAINEVENTS - Multiple Events with Process Chains
    RSPCCHAINT - Texts for Chain
RSPCCOMMANDLOG - System Command Execution Logs (Process Chains)
RSPCLOGCHAIN - Cross-Table Log ID / Chain ID
RSPCLOGS - Application Logs for the Process Chains
RSPCPROCESSLOG - Logs forthe Chain Runs
RSPCRUNVARIABLES - Variables for Process Chains for Runtime
    RSPC_MONITOR - Monitorindividual process chains
