UTL_HTTP end of body exception, sending soap message

Hi there,
I am using the utl_http to send a soap request,
l _http_response := UTL_HTTP.get_response(l_http_request);
UTL_HTTP.read_text(l_http_response, l_envelope); then
UTL_HTTP.end_response(l_http_response);
  l_response.doc := XMLTYPE.createxml(l_envelope);
  l_response.envelope_tag := p_request.envelope_tag;
  l_response.doc := l_response.doc.extract (....)the read statement throws an "end of body reached " exception , even when I have tried to use read_line instead , got the same,
as I have read from a post on this forum, that it is just an exception that indicates that the end of the file is reached, it is not error, and that I only need to handle the exception and end the response, I have tried that but I got the l_envelope : NULL !!!
I am using the same code to consume a webservice and it works fine, but with another service it does not,
what possibly can be the reason,
in addition what can I do to get rid of that exception !!,
any help, please,
suggestions are appreciated
regards,

  • How to send SOAP Message with Oracle B2B

    Hi everyone,
    I need your help to send out from Oracle B2B a SOAP message with attachment of any type of file (image, pdf, etc.). Possibly using a SOA composite application or another way, it doesn't matter. I already create an ebMS partnership with a custom document protocol and I already create a working SOA composite application to send only text message to my trading partner. I have tried this solution: http://anuj-dwivedi.blogspot.it/2011/04/ebms-attachment-handling-in-oracle-b2b.html but it doesn't work for my case... It is to be noticed that I don't give any schema to my component in the SOA application explained firstly, and I select opaque as schema.
    Thanks to all, regards

    Hi Anuj and thanks for your help,
    I need to send an ebXML message, with SOAP, and I try to send it with a .war application written in jsp connecting to http://10.85.28.24:8001/b2b/transportServlet to send the SOAP message. The errors reported is:
    javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Unable to receive message. Received a response from url: http://10.85.28.24:8001/b2b/transportServlet with HTTP status 200 and SOAP content-type: null.
    the code I write is the following (to evaluate the two "null" in the super constructor)
    <%!
    public class EBMSSender extends SOAPRunner
    private String cpaId;
    private String service;
    private String action;
    private String mess;
    private ArrayList<String> allegati=null;
    public EBMSSender(String cpaId, String service, String action, String mess, ArrayList<String> file)
    super("http://10.85.28.24:8001/b2b/transportServlet","null", "null");
    this.cpaId = cpaId;
    this.service = service;
    this.action = action;
    this.mess=mess;
    this.allegati=file;
    @Override
    protected void prepareRequest(SOAPMessage soapMessage, SOAPBody soapBody) throws SOAPException
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("CPAId", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(),"agr3"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("service", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(),"OracleService"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("action", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(),"Oracletohermesb"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("serviceType", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(),"OracleServiceType"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("convId", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(), "convId"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("fromPartyId", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(), "Oracle"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("fromPartyType", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(), "Name"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("toPartyId", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(), "Hermes-b"));
    soapBody.addChildElement(SOAPUtility.createElement("toPartyType", getNsPrefix(), getNsURI(), "Name"));
    attach(soapMessage);
    protected void attach(SOAPMessage soapMessage)
    String h=mess;
    DataHandler dh;
    AttachmentPart ap = soapMessage.createAttachmentPart(h,"text/plain");
    soapMessage.addAttachmentPart(ap);
    if(allegati!=null)
    for(int i=0; i<allegati.size();i++)
    dh=new DataHandler(new FileDataSource(new File(allegati.get(i))));
    ap=soapMessage.createAttachmentPart(dh);
    ap.setContentType(new MimetypesFileTypeMap().getContentType(allegati.get(i)));
    ap.setContentLocation(allegati.get(i));
    soapMessage.addAttachmentPart(ap);

    SOAPElement messageId = SOAPUtility.getChild(responseBody, "message_id", getNsURI());
    return null;
    %>
    The code works fine on the other trading partner side to send ebXML message to Oracle B2B. Apart from this solution (however,it would be my favorite), I find your blog and I try to implement your solution. It works: it sends files with only text payload to the other trading partner without any problem, but if I try to send for example an image in byte array written in a file .txt, the ebxml file received has the byte array with wrong characters. it may be that I have not provided the xsd schema? in case if I wanted to send an ebXML message with text and attachments, what xsd schema do I need to provide?
    or is there another way to implement a SOA composite application to send SOAP messages with attachments?
    Thank for your help!, regards

  • As I bought my iPhone 5 16GB,White in the USA from Sprint, full price with tax,unlocked ,it was excepted to be a global phone. But now I come across with some problems in Chinausing local carrier, everything is working properly except sending text message

    Dear AppleCare,
    As I bought my iPhone 5 16GB,White in the USA from Sprint, full price with tax,unlocked ,it was excepted to be a global phone. But now I come across with some problems in Chinausing local carrier, everything is working properly except sending text message, and iMessage and Facetime also seem not to work.This is very serious for Apple and me! Will I have the chance to fix this?
    I tried all the possible solutions from the Internet, and the Official solution offered by Apple (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4459), but it doesn't seem to work.
    Will Apple help me with this issue? Please do.
    Information of my iPhone:
    SN:F1*******8GJ
    IMEI: ****
    MEID: ****
    ICCID: ****
    My Apple ID account:****
    <Personal Information Edited By Host>

    I had the same problem.  Kept getting message of waiting for activation or check network connections.  I also tried every solution out there and nothing worked.  This did though:  I download the newest version of itunes (through Internet Explorer - Google Chrome wouldn't work).  It pulled in my entire library thank goodness and then I plugged my iphone 4s into the computer.  I let itunes find it, did a complete backup in icloud, then did a restore.  Entire process took a couple of hours, but I now have imessage and facetime back.  I was about ready to give up on Apple and go get a different phone ~

  • Error while sending SOAP message to PI

    Hi Guyz,
    I have a sync-asyn scneario SOAP to File via PI. When I test the scenario using test tool i.e SOAP UI , scenario runs fine. But when user is trying to send a message they are getting Error message as response . "No SOAP Envelope but 1 {}.
    Any idea what is this error. I tried to test the scenario with the same XML message that they are using.
    Regards,
    Loveena.

    Hi Loveena,
    What kind of application tries to connect with PI?
    Have you tried to mark Use No SOAP Envelope (Point 4. https://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/48/3555240bea31c3e10000000a42189d/frameset.htm)?, in this way you can check that the message at least comes to PI.
    Regards.

  • How to send SOAP message with attachment?

    Hi Experts,
    How do I simulate to send a SOAP message with an attachment? Can I use XMLSpy?
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Shobhit

    Ravi,
    With the generic SOAP client, it asks for the http based wsdl file location. But my wsdl has been generated by XI and I have the file stored on my desktop.
    Something to do with the path http://zpidd01:8030/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=NetworkPartners:NP_Order_BS:NP_SOAP_Sender_CC ??
    Stefan,
    my scenario is to send a SOAP request with attachment and post the attachment in ECC through the ABAP server proxy.
    WebService Client -
    SOAP----> XI -
    ABAP PROXY CALL ---> ECC
    Need further assistance from both of you how to achieve this scenario.

  • How to send SOAP Message with attachments?

    Hi All,
    I am working on a SOAP to RFC Scenario With specific requirement of handling the attachment(Mainly Excel Attachments) at the Sender SOAP Adapter.
    Kindly Suggest.
    I found lot of theoritical stuff but no practical scenario.
    Regards,
    Sachi

    Hi Sachi,
    To handle attachment in SOAP sender adapter  first of all you will have to use the AXIS message protocol.
    Then by using MessageTransformBean you can handle the attachment.
    1) Check this link for the module processing sequence used to get the attachment from SOAP
    SOAP Axis sender with CSV file attachment
    2) Check this blog which will help you on the usage of MessageTransformBean
    Solve Key Field Problem using StructPlain2XML in MessageTransformationBean!!
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/24/4cad3baabd4737bab64d0201bc0c6c/frameset.htm
    using MessageTransformBean you can handle only the text file attachments like comma separated file, pipe separated, fixed lengths etc. But if you are looking to handle a excel file you will have to use a java mapping to get the data from excel attached file. for this have a look at this following blog by Shabarish:
    Excel Files - How to handle them in SAP XI/PI (The Alternatives)
    Do remember to use SOAP Axis adapter and to tick the keep attachment option.
    Hope this helps.

    Aravind

  • SOAP message size limitation for sender soap adapter

    Hi All,
    We are facing critical production issue in case of sender SOAP Adapter,
    If the sender soap message is having 114359 Bytes than the Third party is getting exception and SOAP request is not reaching XI.
    If the message size is less then 100kbytes then no exception will come.
    Is this a limitation that SOAP message size should not exceed 100kbyte?

  • Issue in receiving custom header in response SOAP message

    Hi,
    I have created a simple BPEL process with custom headers in request and response message.
    I tried to send SOAP message through SOAPUI tool. Service is getting instantiated, able to access the request header and able to send response message. But only body is send as response message. Header is not sent in the response message.
    Also tried to invoke the above service through another BPEL process. I could able to send the header through request but not able to receive the header in response message.
    Pls. throw some light on this..
    Regards
    Jude.

    Hi,
    Input request is working as you mentioned but the output custom headers are not working. When I use bpelx:outputHeaderVariable="varOutManifest" I am getting exception while running the interface. So I used bpelx:outputHeaderVariables="varOutManifest" but I am not getting back the custom header from the partner service to the variable.
    Any hint.
    receive:
    bpelx:headerVariable="varManifest varSecurity"
    reply:
    bpelx:inputHeaderVariable="varOutManifest"
    Invoke:
    bpelx:outputHeaderVariables="varOutManifest"
    bpelx:inputHeaderVariable="varManifest varSecurity"
    Is anything wrong?
    I am on 10.1.3.3.1 MLR # 14. I am getting following exception when I use bpelx:outputHeaderVariable.

  • How To : Call External Webservice from BPEL and pass SOAP Message to the WS

    Hello All-
    Greetings to all BPEL gurus. I am currently facing difficulties in calling an External Webservice from my BPEL Process and passing SOAP Message to it. The details are below:
    <strong>1. The BPEL process, using database polling feature of DB Adapter, will get the records from the database.</strong>
    <strong>2. Transform the message</strong>
    <strong>3. Call the External Webservice and pass the transformed message as the input to it. However the Webservice expects the BPEL process to send SOAP headers in the input message.</strong>
    I am struggling on how to put the transformed message within a SOAP envelope in the BPEL process.
    If anyone had similar requirements and have successfully been able to send SOAP messages from BPEL process to an external webservice, kindly let me know.
    Also if there is some kind of documentation or any link in the forum that I can refer, please let me know that as well.
    I am new to Webservice integration using BPEL and would really appreciate your help.
    Thanks In Advance
    Regards,
    Dibya

    Hi Dharmendra,
    I am trying to send a SOAP message from my BPEL process to a web service. I have a complete SOAP message in a complex variable defined in the wsdl for the partnerlink (web service). My problem is that when I invoke the partnerlink it fails even though the content shown in the BPEL console looks valid.
    I have set up obtunnel to see what I am actually sending out from BPEL. You mention that BPEL creates the SOAP envelope automatically.
    I think that my problem is a result of this automatic SOAP envelope that BPEL is creating. Do you know if there is a way to turn it off?
    This is what I see in the TCP monitor, please note the double SOAP env:Body:
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <env:Body> <RCMR_IN000002NR01 xmlns="urn:hl7-org:v3" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:wsa="http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing" xmlns:wsse="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd">

    <env:Body>

    </RCMR_IN000002NR01>
    </env:Body>
    </RCMR_IN000002NR01>
    </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>
    Any help is appreciated.

    I have opened a new thread for this question so as to not confuse the issue more than necessary.
    How many SOAP envelopes do you really need?

  • ABAP runtime error in sxmb_moni when SOAP message has header with some tags

    Hi!!!
    I have a problem with sxmb_moni transaction.
    If I double-click on a successfully processed
    message, then this monitor can't show me
    the message details but fails with the following error:
    <COPY_AND_PASTE_FROM_SCREEN>
    Runtime errors         OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO
    Exception              CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL
    Occurred on     02.03.2005 at 16:44:21
    Access with 'ZERO' object reference not possible.
    What happened?
    Error in ABAP application program.
    The current ABAP program "CL_XMS_PROP_STRING============CP " had to be
    terminated because one of the
    statements could not be executed.
    This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
    </COPY_AND_PASTE_FROM_SCREEN>
    This situation takes place only when I want
    to look at a SOAP message which was sent to XI
    from .Net platform or was sent to
    .Net platform from XI (via SOAP adapter).
    In all other cases sxmb_moni works fine.
    I know that the problem is connected with some tags from Header record of SOAP message:
          <soap:Header>
             <wsa:Action>http://aaa.bbb.ccc/MessageResponse</wsa:Action>
             <wsa:MessageID>uuid:1838f870-1688-4cfe-8c4f-afe14d98c515</wsa:MessageID>
             <wsa:RelatesTo>uuid:308b950f-8cff-4b63-9861-93b041825f9d</wsa:RelatesTo>
             <wsa:To>http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/03/addressing/role/anonymous</wsa:To>
             <wsse:Security>
                <wsu:Timestamp wsu:Id="Timestamp-389847df-8760-4d57-9777-6ce159d85205">
                   <wsu:Created>2005-03-02T08:54:29Z</wsu:Created>
                   <wsu:Expires>2005-03-02T08:59:29Z</wsu:Expires>
                </wsu:Timestamp>
             </wsse:Security>
          </soap:Header>
    If I take a SOAP message I have problem with, and
    I remove all tags from this Header (or remove
    the whole Header) and send it from any XML editor
    that can send SOAP messages then sxmb_moni hasn't
    any problems with showing me details of a such message.
    Any hints how to force a .Net platform not to send
    a such header or how to force sxmb_moni transaction
    not to fail if a such header occurs?
    Regards,
    Andrzej Filusz

    Hi Santhosh
    1.Check your authorization settings in XI and R/3. Whether the user has sufficient rights to execute the Function Module etc. This is the most common reason for this error.
    2.If the XI system was brought online even before the R/3 system then re-activate the communication channels from the Integration directory.
    Cheers..

  • Mixed encoding in soap message reply

    I am trying to send a soap message to a service that uses UTF-16 encoding. I sent a UTF-8 encoded request. The reply was UTF-8 but the body was UTF-16.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP-ENV:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>
    <SOAPSDK1:GetCountryStateAreaResponse xmlns:SOAPSDK1="http://tempuri.org/message/">
    <Result xmlns:SOAPSDK2="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:SOAPSDK3="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" SOAPSDK2:type="SOAPSDK3:string"><?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16" ?><atdw_data_results><country id="500001" code="AU" name="Australia" isd_code="61" states_allowed_flag="1" product_id="503928"><state id="500006" code="TAS" name="Tasmania"><area id="500361" code="NNE">North - North East</area><area id="500362" code="NW">North West</area><area id="500363" code="S">South</area></state></country></atdw_data_results></Result>
    </SOAPSDK1:GetCountryStateAreaResponse>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    I used an xslt transform to indent the xml but it could only understand the UTF-8 soap envelope.
    Should I encode the request in UTF-16 and how can this be done in SAAJ ?
    Should I try Apache Soap instead ? It seems very difficult to extract the body of the message using SAAJ.
    Thanks
    Bill

    I have got it to work with Apache Soap. Much simpler to extract the reply body from the soap message too.
