UWL CATS time approval error "No data exists that needs to be approved"

Hi all,
We approve CATS working time through SAP portal UWL. The user can see the workitem in her UWL inbox, but got an error u201CNo data exists that needs to be approvedu201D when he tried to execute the workitem. But the user is able to execute the workitem using Business workplace in ECC. We are using the standard UWL application.
This happens only to CATS time entries for certain type of employees (for example, the employees who do not report directly to the approver).
SAP Portal 7.0
SAP MSS 600 SP19
SAP UWLJWF 7.00 sp23
SAP ECC 6.0
Here is what I have found from my trouble-shooting. When I test (preview) the UWL iView, it seems to be working fine. But when I call up the iView from the portal MSS role, I got the error message u201CNo data exists that needs to be approved.u201D

I have found that the workitem ID is not passed to the CATS approval web dynpro program. Here is what is in the Item Type configuration XML. Is there anything missing?

    Hello all,
    I have lenovo T430s laptop that is configured with Bitlocker encruptions and TPM PIN entry. I don't think that has anything to do with the error msg I am getting but here it is. Error: 0271: Real Time Clock Error - Check Date and Time settings.
    Press Esc to continue or F1 to enter setup. I am unable to get into BIOS or even the login screen for Windows 7.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks to everyone for the help.  Just want to close this out.  I had a IBM/Lenovo technician here today and he replaced the CMOS battery.  Upon the change, the computer is fine being reconnected to the dock (the three times I tried it).  So it has been resolved with the battery.  Surprised by the incompatibility claim because I am not having issues now.  Wondering if it's just a USB 2.0 vs. 3.0 thing (and Lenovo trying to sell more peripherals, of course).

    Can help anyone to resolve my problem.
    I have an Thinkpad W520 (42823FG), BIOS 8BET60WW 1.4        When I disconect AC power and remove battery and connect again, I see this message on screen:
    "Real Time Clock Error - Check Date and Time settings, System CMOS Checksum bad
    Press Esc to continue or F1 to enter Setup"
    Is this a system board problem or CMOS battery problem ?

    It's probably (hopefully) just the CMOS battery.  The easiest way to find out is to just replace that battery.

  • GarageBand error after data transfer that states "This song requires a newer version of GarageBand. Please update to the latest version of GarageBand before opening this song". Please Help!

    I recently had a data transfer from my older mac to my newer one. After the transfer I logged into my new account and opened up my GarageBand. It worked perfectly fine, however when I logged into my old account with all my older data that I just transferred over, I could not open my GarageBand files and there is an error that states "GarageBand error after data transfer that states "This song requires a newer version of GarageBand. Please update to the latest version of GarageBand before opening this song".If anyone could please help me with this issue, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank You!

    When you transferred your data from your old mac, you may have accidentally transferred an older GarageBand version and either overwritten your newer version, or your old account still has the old GarageBand icon in the Dock.
    Search with SpotLight, if you have more than one Garageband version on your new Mac (type "GarageBand" into the SpotLight search field). Does it list more than one GarageBand version? Then delete the older GarageBand.app.
    What GarageBand version have you been using at your old mac, and what is the version on your new mac? If it has been bought recently, it should have come with GarageBand '11.

    I am using transaction J1INUT utilization of provision of TDS on Services for which in have made the provision with the help of J1INPR, But when I am executing J1INUT transaction .The following error message is displaying:
    No data exist for processing with the given selection options
    I have followed the below steps.
    1) ME21N - OP Creation
    2) ML81N - Service Entry
    3) J1INPR - Provision of TDS
    4) MIRO -  Invoice Posting
    I have checked the Table J_1IEWTPROV In that system is updating the table also. Even I have activated table TRWCA for field IND
    But still I am getting the same error. Any suggestions to resolve this.

  • Time collision error on work schedule that spans 2 days

    I have the following work schedule set up
    Sunday 19:30 - 06:30 11hrs
    Monday 19:30 - 06:30 11hrs
    Tuesday 19:30 - 06:30 11hrs
    Wednesday 23:30 - 06:30 7 hrs
    Thurs-Sat - off
    I enter hours only via CAT2, no start/end times.  I get the following error when trying to transfer my time to HR "Insert cannot be made due to collision".  I make the following attendance time entries for a day, for example on 3/30/2014
    3 hours
    2 hours
    1 hour
    1 hour
    4 hours
    The time transfer (via CAT6) results in the following PA2002 records
    3/30/2014, 3 hrs, start time 19:30:00 end time 22:30:00
    3/30/2014, 2 hrs, start time 22:30:00 end time 00:30:00
    3/30/2014, 1 hr, start time 00:30:00 - 01:30:00
    The remaining 1 hour and 4 hour entry causes the time collision.  What is strange to me is the transfer always posts the first record that begins past midnight (in my test case a PA2002 record is created with start time of 00:30:00) but the remaining time entries generate a time collision.  I would expect the remaining 2 time entries to be as follows:
    3/30/2014, 1 hr, start time 01:30:00 end time 02:30:00
    3/30/2014, 4 hrs, start time 02:30:00 end time 06:30:00
    Does anyone know why I am getting these time collisions errors?

  • HR Documents OAWD error no data exist

    Hi experts,
    I'm trying to store the documents through OAWD. The problem is i'm not able to store the document using the infotype (0024). I already Set up Optical Archiving in HR  in SPRO.  The error msg is 'No data for 01100003 0024 exist'.
    What did i miss? Please guide.

    Please follow the following steps:
    1. SPRO - personnel managemnet - personnel administration - tools - optical archiving - setup optical archiving in HR.
    2. Create a new entry here for your document type. Mention the Object type as PREL and Infotype number as 24.
    Ensure that you have done these configuration.

  • Time stamp error in Date management

    Hi All,
    I have defined a date rule and date profile which is copied from the rule VALID003 (i.e. today's date + 3 days) and assigned to transaction type 0010 (Business Activity). But its giving an error as below:
    Error when converting time stamp in date/time time zone INDIA.
    But when i test the rule separately it giving the correct result.
    What could be the problem ?

    Hi,
    Check for the system date and time and the today's date and time being picked yup in your activity.
    system date and time can be checked by -
    SAP easy access Menu go to system -->status
    This time should be there in your date type giving valid from time so that the rule can add to this time.

    Hi all,
    I tried to enter plan data in the BPS0 planning layout. However, I received an error message as the following:
    The planning package 0-ADHOC you have used, and layout ZMDFPRGL only contain selection criteria. No data has yet been entered for these. This means that no plan data can be displayed.
    You cannot enter new data for one of the following reasons:
    •     When the layout was defined, only the names were selected to display the lead column characteristics, but not the key. As a result, you cannot enter any transaction data as you have to add a new characteristic value into the lead column. However, this is not possible with the current layout setting.
    Can someone tell me how to fix it? Thank you.

    Hi,
    please check this:
    change layout, second screen, tab "key columns": for all characteristics type of viewing should be key or key/name.
    This is a great feature for layouts where users should only change key figures and not add or delete records.

    IT looks like you are running the program in foreground and execution takes more time than the value specified under profile parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time.
    Check whether you can execute the same in background.
    If not then increase the value of parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time . Take SAP restart and test again.

    Could you please explain your problem little bit more. I mean what is source and target, or you using IP or DTP.
    goto the details in monitor tab, you will come to know to which record yo uhave error.
    If you are running IP, it is recommended to keep PSA.

  • MSS No data exists. Is working - or not

    We have configured the MSS EMBORGCH and it is working or kind of working.
    We have added a new selection called Furture employess, so the manager are able to see the future employees.
    If there is no future employee, then the user gets this error: "No data exists for user XXXXXX in hierarchy MSSBIZVIEW".
    And then if the user Log off the portal, then next time the manager log on. This message is shown: "No data exists for user XXXXXX in hierarchy MSSBIZVIEW". and the drop down selections are empty.
    How to avoid this?

    The problem is, that we have created a new view called "Future Employees". When you have future employees, this is working fine.
    But if you do not have future employees, you will get this error message. If you then log out of the portal then the next time you log in, you will see this error and the dropdowns with the Views are empty, and you cannot navigate.
    I just want the view to be empty and the navigation to work.
    Right now, we are showing the manager, just to avoid this situation.

    I am having a requirement to find the Time Interval Error. I found that functions under jitter analysis toolkit is capable of finding the TIE(Jitter). I am not sure how to use these functions for my requirement.
    My requirement is: I will read the waveform data from a scope and have to process the data and find the Time Interval Error. My only input will be waveform data with jitter from a DUT.
    If anybody could help me with the flow how to use the Jitter analysis function for my requirement then it would be of great help. Also, a detailed description about the Tie Interval Error.vi also will be useful.

    If you are just Downloading to a Flat file then why dont you have logic in place for the program to dump the data read into  the file to that point depending on any criteria like accounts or customer then clear the internal table and run it in the back ground.
    try to use cursor to read the records from the table which will make it a bit more efficient than plain select stement.

  • CATS - Data Transfer to Target Components via CATA - Error "No Data for Trf

    I am recording hours via CAT2 on Network Activity. These hours are then approved.
    However, when I run CATA to transfer the hours to CO and PS, I get popup information "No Data for Transfer".
    When i proceed further , i get another popup saying all records were read and saved successfully, and no. of confirmations generated.
    However, when i run CJI3, I do not see any Actual cost line items.

    Hello Joy,
    (1) Perhaps you have on your profile on CAC1, the "Immediate Transfer to HR" flag set.
    This way you have the "Release on Saving" flag set, all the time you save data, it gets transferred directly.
    (2) But, I see that you are having the issue with the CO and PS, so I highly suggest you to check on if the data is on the interface tables.
      a. First you should make sure that the data exists on CATSDB with Status 30.
      b. Then, you should check the data on CATSPS (Interface table for PS) and CATSCO( interface table for CO).
      c. If you don't have the data on these tables there should be no record after all to transfer.
