Validate Terms of Payment in MIRO against vendor master

Dear All,
I have a requirement to Validate Terms of payment in MIRO with Vendor master data. I am using INVOICE_UPDATE  BADI to check if Terms of payment in MIRO is same as Vendor master table LFB1, However I also need to check days which is not in LFB1,
How do I validate MIRO -> ZTERM and Days with Vendor master is there any function module ? I checked T052 table but ZTERM is not the only primary key and suggestions please ?

Hi,
See the the SAP documentation of Daylimit.
For terms of payment which depend on whether or not the baseline date is
after or before the 15th of the month, you can define a two-part payment
term under the same terms of payment key. The terms of payment key is
expanded by the day limit entered here. Thus there are two entries in
which different terms can be specified.
In your case,
if rbkp-bldat is between 1st and 5th of the month, extract
data related to t052-ztagg = '05'.
If rbkp-bldat is between 6th and 20th of the month, extract
data related to t052-ztagg = '20'.
if rbkp-bldat is between 21st and end of month, extract
data related to t052-ztagg = '31'

what are the configuration settings needed.

    Hi,
If you have maintained the payment term in the Purchase Order, it will overwrite the payment term which is maintained in the Vendor Master. If no payment term is maintained in the PO, then the payment term which is maintained in the Vendor Master will be considered.

  • Grouping key Vs Payment method supplement in vendor master data

    Hi All,
Could you please explain me as to when we can use grouping key and in what situations to use payment method supplement.
They both looks like for grouping open items during payment .
I know the config steps for grouping key and payment method supplement.
I would like to know the different business usages of these fields.

My aim is to group certain documents while F110 payments to a vendor (grouping based on a custom field)
So how can I achieve this - is it through grouping key or payment supplement and how to make settings in FBZP.

  • Change in Terms of payment for Vendors / Customers

    Dear Friends,
If the Terms of Payments are changed in Vendor / Customer master data then what will be the effect on below situation :
    1.   How will any open Purchase Orders and any open Sales Orders be updated?
    2.  How will processed, yet open customer invoices and vendor invoices be updated?
Please share your views on above.
    Regards,

    Hi Bidyut,
SAP works on very clear philosphy known as changes with prospective effect.
When you create a Purchase order or Sales order, this import Payment term from Purchasing area (not from Payment TAB) and sales area. In case you change the payment term in Vendor/Customer master, the invoices created taking the reference of the already created purchase/Sales orders will still have the old Payment Term.
But the payment term field is editable so if you think these are not correct, you can change the payment term in PO/SO and even in invoices anytime but useful only if changed before they are paid.
    Hope this answers your query.
    Regards

  • Vendor with terms of payment

    Hello
is it possible to assign  two  terms of payment  for a single
vendor for a single purchase org if yes how is it
    maina

    Hello Mahesh
    It is possible.
Solution is to maintain Vendor data by vendor Sub-range (XK01/XK02) and then assign this VSR in Info record.
    1) Vendor Master : XK01 /XK02
    In the Purchasing data:
    Select Extras-->Additional purchasing data
Select check box for Data Retention at VSR level allowed and press <Enter>.
    Select 'Subranges' button (or Extras-->Sub-ranges)
    Maintain 2 sub-ranges (e.g. z1 = PAyterma, z2=Payterm2)
    Click on 'Alternative Data'
    Select Subrange (e.g. z1) and press <Enter>
Change the purchasing data as you want (check that the header data contains sub-range also)
Similarly maintain for other sub-range also.
    2) Info record for the material:ME11/ME12
In the general data, maintain sub-range as required.
    I am sure it works.
    Best regards

  • Payment terms in PO and vendor master

PO should be able to override payment terms of the vendor master when a payment term in PO is different from the payment term in vendor master. How do I make it work?
    Regards - SS

Payment trerm of the PO can not be overwrite the payment temr of the vendor master becuase the vendor master is master data and Po is transaciton data.
you can over write the payment term of the vendor master defualted in the PO but not other way around.

  • Payment terms in Vendor Master data and purchasing info record

Hi, all, I met one trouble. While I create Purchase Order. In the header item, payment terms is automatically pop up from the data maintaining the vendor master data or purchasing info record if there is difference payment terms between in vendor master data and in purchasing info record. What happend?
Sometimes, When you create purchase order, payment terms is not automatically pop up even you maintained in the vendor master data or purchasing info record. Why? Is it meaning that I can manually to input payment terms while create each purchase order which can be difference data with vendor master data or purchase info record?
Thank you very much in advance,

    Hi,
The payment terms is usually defaulted from either vendor master or purchasing master data record such as contract/outline agreement.  Unless it is set through configuration that the payment terms be set as mandatory, any failure to maintain payment terms won't stop you from posting your PO as this information will only be useful during invoice receipt maintenance.  Having said that if you are setting up your system with discount condition type as part of your PO pricing schema then it is necessary that the payment terms shall be maintained during PO creation.
    Cheers,
    HT

  • Payment term in PO to be picked from Payt trans a/c of Vendor Master

    Hi ,
In standard scenario Payment Term in Purchase Order is automatically picked up from Purchasing data of Vendor Master.
Our requirement is Payment Term in Purchase Order should get picked up from Payment Transaction view of vendor master rather than from Purchasing data of Vendor Master.
Is there any user exit or customization to achieve this.
    Please help.
    Regds,
    Ritesh

there are payment terms at comapny code level AND purchasing org level, because you may get vendors for which you dont need purchasing views, such as customs or restaurants, where you never place a purchase order at. And other vendors like goods suppliers may never need company code views because you will never pay them.
So each view serves its own purpose.
It is not possible to just ignore maintenance at one level and get the payment term for an other organisation.
Especially as you can have several purchasing organisations within one company (if you purchasing wants to differentiate purchases of direct material from MRO purchasing) or you have one purchasing org for several company codes.
And not always is the payment term equal then.
If you are certain that the company code payment term is always equal to purchasing org payment term, then copy it over with mass maintenance and everything is fine.

  • Term of Payment in Vendor master

In vendor master ,why are we maintained the Term of Payment in two diffecent place one is Accunting and other Purchasing view?
I cant understand why are we maintain the same thing in diffrent place in same master data. Please explain in detail.

Payment terms defined in different views of vendor master will used in particular modules only.
In MM module, payment terms defined in purchasing view is used in purchase order,LIV.
Whereas payment terms defined in accounting view is used in FI module(invoice using F-43,FB60 etc.,)

  • Credit Memo - Terms of Payment Default

My earlier post received no response, so I am posting again,
In MIRO if I create a credit Memo, payment terms default from PO. (not from vendor master) I do not know if was configured that way. How can I find out ?
I do not want payment terms to default from any thing, neither PO nor vendor master.
It should fall due immediately say based on base line date, which is posting date in our case.
How can I do this ?
    Thanks

  • Blocking a Down payment for a particular vendor

    Hi Gurus,
Can i block payments in form of Down payments to a particular vendor. All other bills that are due are eligible to be paid.
I need this control to ensure that Payments for a particular vendor is always against an invoice and not downpayment.
I cannot put the payment block in the vendor master because it will block payments for all other invoices
    Please help
    Thanks so much

    Hi.
I am Basically MM guy. To resolve this issue I would like to suggest a work around.
You can use the two payment terms.
    1) One payment term in the company code (In vendor master record in the Payment transaction accounting). In this payment term you have set a payment block indicator
By doing this system will block all the invoices or Down payment which are posted in FI. Against this vendor. Hence system will not allow you to pay to this vendor against down payment.
    2) Another payment terms in the purchasing view of the Vendor master. In this payment terms do not set any block.
When you post an invoice against a PO your accounting document will not be blocked.
Hence you can pay to a vendor with reference to PO invoice.
I am not sure. I hope it will work. If it helps award me.
    Cheers

  • Why we should not assign WHT Code for Payment in Vendor Master

    HI
I have doubt re WHT.  When WHT Types for Invoice and Payment are assigned in Vendor Master, Why Its suggested to maintain WHT Code only for Invoice, why not for Payment. Pls clarify my doubt.
    Thanks

    Dear
It all depends upon the situation.  Sometimes we may pay advance to the vendor.  At that time, if we need to deduct tds then we need to incorporate payment tax code in the vendor master.  Sometimes we may do either fb60/MIRO and at that time we need to deduct tax then we need to incorporate invoice tax code in the vendor master.
There might be different orders on the same vendor and there might be different areas operating the same vendor for invoice booking/payment.  In such situations, we need to maintain both invoice tax code and payment tax code in the vendor master since tds need to be deducted at the time of invoice booking or payment to vendor whichever is earlier.
When first advance payment is made  to the vendor and when tds amount is deducted, then at the time of making MIRO we need to remove invoice tax codes so that tds is not deducted twice.
    Hope the above clarifies.

  • F110 Payment Proposal multiple payment lines for same vendor

    Hello,
Question for the FI community regarding single payments for multiple invoices for the same vendor. Is there any other place that would dictate the grouping (or non grouping) of multiple payment proposal lines for same vendor payment?
I understand that there are two places:
FBZP - Change view 'Maintenance of Company Code Data for a Payment Method", the flag for 'Single payment for marked item'
Vendor Master - Automatic payment transactions, flag for 'Individual pmnt'
Is there anywhere else where this may be dictated? At my location, we have two company codes that make ACH payments, settings for FBZP (Single payment for marked item flag) and selected vendor for payment in the vendor master is identical. I get different results when viewing the payment proposal for each company code. Company Code A parses out individual line items for payment in the proposal, and Company Code B does not. When I change the flag via FBZP for Company Code A, this resolves the issue. When I make the same change for Company Code B, there is no change.
In all of my testing, I have left the 'Individual pmnt' flag for both vendor masters unchecked.
I'm hoping that somebody in the community here would be able to point me in the right direction to understand why I am getting differences. Is there somewhere else that I can check?
    Thanks everyone.

    Ravi,
Thanks for your reply, however in my post I already mentioned I have tested out both options via FBZP as well as the vendor master. You are correct, in only one case regarding my situation.
In my example for Company Code B, I have the following scenarios:
    1. FBZP - single payment for marked item checked, Vendor individual payment option not checked, result is a single payment item for multiple invoices
    2. FBZP - single payment for marked item checked, Vendor individual payment option is checked, result is multiple payment items for each invoice
    3. FBZP - single payment for marked item not checked, Vendor individual payment option not checked, result is a single payment item for multiple invoices
    4. FBZP - single payment for marked item not checked, Vendor individual payment option is checked, result is a multiple payment items for each invoice
Are you saying that the option in FBZP simply enables the grouping/non grouping based on what the vendor master record payment option is? Typically, that option for vendors is not checked in either of our company codes, therefore if the only difference is the setting in FBZP, then why would I be getting only a single payment for multiple invoices in the case of scenario 1 listed above?
That's why I am wondering if perhaps there is something elsewhere than FBZP and vendor master settings that could be affecting this.
    Comments please?

  • Default values for creating vendor master data

    Hi.
Is it possible to set default value for payment term and planning group when creating vendor master data of a specific account group?
    Thanks in advance.

    HI,
1, Create a vendor in your Account group as the reference vendor account
2, By t-code:XK01, create new vendor with reference vendor of step 1,
then the system will transfer the value from your reference vendor.
