Validity date of condition records (creation of info records using LSMW)

Hello gurus,
we would like to create info records using LSMW with one condition record (PB00). This works fine, we just are not able to influence the validity of the condition record, it's always "creation date until 31.12.9999".
We tried to maintain the fields BKONP-DATAB and BKONP-DATBI, but that did not change anything.
Any ideas on this?

One additional question: When I import info records using LSMW, one condition record (PB00) is created automatically. Is it possible to change the validity of that condition record using LSMW, too? Or can I only create new condition records?

Try with below FMs
ME_DIRECT_INPUT_INFORECORD
ME_POST_INFORECORD
ME_UPDATE_INFORECORD_PD.
There is not much validation being handled in this FMs so it may upload wrong data as well .. which may create problems..
No BAPIs available for creation of info records (ME11)
I would suggest you to go for BDC in this case..

Error during creation of info record for pipline material.(Urgent)

Hi All,
We are getting the following error during creation of Info record for pipeline material
" Material XXXXX is not a pipline material"
we have checked the material master and found it is a pipeline material.
Kindly advice on the same.

Hi Arahanth,
The steps u need to check are;
1) The Material Type ( If standard then it is PIPE or if defined own Material Type check the settings once preferably in special material type a tick at pipeline mandatory)
2) when u create the info record (ME11) ensure the info category is selected as pipeline.

Automatic creation of info record

Hi All ,
In my case, Automatic creation of info record is active during creation of PO and in case of standard PO, price is automatically coming during creation of PO
But in case of consignment PO, Price is not coming automatically.

HI,
In Consignment PO, Price (Condtion tab) won't be there.
As per the concept of Consignment, stock will be in our premise but ownership of the stock will be with the vendor. Only when we consume from the consignment stock it will come under our valuation & the price maintained in the consignment info-record will used in this case.

How can this be used and what are the required set up to be done in the system.

Hi,
Click F1 on field Cond. Grp which gives the infomation about the Condition groups.

Condition group comes under strategic sourcing and it is used to group together vendor & mass changes for vendor masters.
e.g to change tax condition for certain group. Check the T-code MEKG.

You have to convert your long string to a table of shorter strings.
There may be other ways, but one possibility is to use a loop to process you string.
while (there is something left)
put the next e.g. 1024 characters in a new row of your table
endwhile
If you need to reconstruct your string from the table, don't use simple concatenation since it will remove blanks at the end of lines. Believe me (from experience) sooner or later this will happen.
Instead you need to either set the subsections of your long string, or insert from the end of your table and keep shifting the contents (probably less efficient) right

FM for creating / maintaining condition types of PIR ( info record)

Purchase Info records data are updated in EINA & EINE Tables and even it updates in A017 (Plant Specific) or A018 (Without Plant Specific) which is called as Material Info record.
To identify the Condition Types in info records, below are the steps.
Step 1: Record all the u201Cconditions Records Nou201D from A017 (Plant Specific) or A018 (Without Plant Specific) for the given Info Records.
Step 2: Based on this u201CStep 1 - condition record nou201D, Search the required u201CCondition Typeu201D in KONP Table by inserting the Cond. Record No and Cond. Type.

I would like to use BRFplus to fill out MM values and after that automaticly create info record and source list for this MM record. The first step is ok, but creating IR and Sourcelist I am not sure. What is the best way to do so?
-> Calling FM? If so how should I use the Result Data Object and Dispatcher field in BRFplus?

Hi,
Yes could call FM using BRF+ Procedure Call-Function Module. And map the exporting parameter (results of FM) to BRF+ ruleset parameter and do the further processing.
When you assign FM name then in below container UI you can add all required parameters using "Add Parameter" button.

Pricing Condition not picking from Info record

We have made all the Changes for Higher Education Cess. Now while creating PO some conditions are not picking from info record(only for some materials). In Dev. server Everything working fine.

Hi Sukumaran,
You need to go to PO -> item conditions -> press analysis button.
double click on the pricing condition on left hand side screen. You will get proper analysis. Like "PBXX 111 Condition ignored (requirement 005 not fulfilled)"
These descriptions will give clear hint on the reason of price not being picked up.

hi can someone pls tell me how do i config the following scenario :
my client has 10 condition types
out of which 5 condition types should compulsorily appear in my Po
and remaining 5 should default from inforecord...however even in info record , no other condition types apaty from this 5 condition types should be allowed .....that is in all my info records only these 5 condition records are allowed for a client

For this u have to ---
1.COpy condtion type PB00 and make new condition type sap ZB00
2.Copy pricing procedure RM0002 to say ZRM002.
3.Delete PB00 contion type from ZRM002 and replace it by ZB00.
4.Maintain only 5 contion types in this pricing procedure which u want in inforecord.
Thats it. Now when u will try to created inforecord - only these 5 contions type which r entered in pricing procedure ZRM002 will be seen .And when u will Create Po the Pricing procedure which u have created will be triggered based on Vendor and pur. Org .

How to maintain text for condition in purchase info record.
Business users would like to maintain the reason/details for price change of condition record in info record.
I am refering to the in the PIR condition screen, there is a Text check box besides scales check box.

Choose application M
-Design a text procedure: in standard you may have some
Go to Text procedure assignement
You need to affect the:
Text determination procedure (standard example 01) T685A-TXTGR and
Text ID for text edit control (standard example 0001) T685A-TDID_TEC
to the Basic price off you info record (standard PB00)
If your basic price is no longer PB00 you may identify with this:
T685A-KNTYP = H and T685A-KALSM = pricing procedure for additionnal condition type present in you FIR.
If you affect the text procedure to a additionnal condition instead off the Basic price, this will not work.

Mass creation of info records

Hi,
As the supplier for one of the material type is changed, user wants to create a info records for all the materials of this type against this vendor. Is there any transaction available to create info records for all the materials against a single vendor at one go?
MEMASSIN is not useful as it is only to update or change existing info records.

I am trying to create the PO for a particular material,but i am getting an error on saving the PO.
"Please contact the responsible person for Info-rec"
The Info-record for that material for that vendor is present when i checked in the t-code ME13.
what could be the problem ?please suggest.

The info category means whether its for Subcontracting, consignment, standard or consignment.
So check the same.......and if you havnt maintained for any of the categories then maintain it. But befor it let us know that when are you getting this error...while creating consignment PO or what ?
