Varience calculation

hi everyone,
                   what proesses done when u do variance calculation for prod.order.thanks.

We calculate the variances for production order  using transaction KKS1 for collective processing and KKS2 for individual processing.
This is the process flow for variance calculation.
If the order has DLV or TECO status then variances are calculated.When we execute variance calculation the following things happen
1.Shows the variance between target costs and control costs (the control costs can be the net actual costs, for example)
2.Determines the difference between the actual costs debited to the object and the credit from goods receipts (total variance)
3.Valuates the unplanned scrap quantities with target costs to determine the scrap variances
4.Determines production variances and planning variances for informational purposes
Shows the causes of the variances and assigns the variances to different variance categories depending on the cause
We do not see target costs for goods receipt until variances are calculated in a production order.
This is the month end process flow
1. Calculation OF WIP (KKAO)
2. Caluclation Of overhead (CO43)
3. Calculation of variances(KKS1)
4. Actual Settlement (CO88)  After the settlement run the variances,WIP calculated are posted to their corresponding G/L accounts
The total variance is the only variance that is relevant to settlement. This means that only the variance categories of target cost version 0 can be transferred to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).
TO sum it up variance calculation in general it is nothing but how actual costs are deviated from the target costs so that a better cost analysis is avialable

  • Production order Target cost Zero - Varience calculation error KV151

    Hi Experts,
    I am having an issue on KKS2 variance calculation, system throwing error KV151 Target cost is 'Zero'
    All pre-requisites are ok including BOM, Rates, Routings etc..
    Process:
    Production order with FERT - valuated material,
    All BOM components in production order are Non valuated stock items, Non-stock items
    Note: Cost Estimat e is for Labor and Overhead only.
    After production order confirmation CO11N, production order Cost analysis displays - Target value ("Zero") and actual value.
    Due to above reason in KSS2 we are unable to calculate variance, system displayed error KV151.
    I cannot settle the production order, guide if I am missing some thing in config. ?
    I appreciate you quick response.
    Thanks,
    RK

    Thanks for your reply Swapvik & Takashi, I have no issues on configuration side very thing looks good.
    Cost estimate - Good
    Variance key - Good
    Production order - FERT (Valuated) - good
    BOM components - UNBW, NLGS only - Good
    Labor rates - good
    Periods - good
    Production order confirmation - Good
    Actual cost - Good
    My Issue is Target cost is zero on cost analysis in CO03 but if I can see target cost in KKBC_ORD report.
    I am unable to calculate variance and settlement.
    I appreciate your response.
    Thanks,

  • List of orders for which varience calculated and settled

    Dear Friends,
            How to list out the production orders for which variance calculated and settled by each period wise,Please give me a solution.

    Hi,
    U can find some status of order in COOIS T code or in Order it self.
    Go to COOIS
    Select the option in status field.
    SETT - Order Settled,
    SETC - Settlement Rule Created
    SETM - Settlement rule created manually.
    TECO - Techo  (Once order is Completed).
    without techo order is not settled.

  • Varience calculation for period 03 / 2008

    dear All ,
    I am carrying out KKS1 FOR FISCAL PERIOD 03 / 2008
    so the system should consider only the orders having TECO or PDLV / DLV status for the same. Why the system is considering Orders having status CLSD and showing errors that" ord status CLSD is active for the ordrs "
    regards.

    Hello,
    The standard behaviour of the system is you cannot close the orders before settlement, i.e. if have any balance system willnot allow to close.
    Once the order is closed then that order will not come to selection at all.
    try one thing take the closed order no. and execute the same in individual processing.
    if you are finding the same error there also, let me know.
    you will get the information there is no selectable orders.
    if some thing diff. detailly explain the error.

  • Calculation of dates_service profile not taken into account

    Hello everyone,
    I am trying to make dates calculation based on working days only.
    I have read few posts on the scn and known by experience that it should work with customizing service profile on crmd_serv_sla.
    However, after making all steps, it does not work. If someone would know where the problem is, that would be really helpful
    Step 1 : customizing service profile
    I am not customizing response profile as I don't need it.
    Is this cusomtizing correct? I have tried with the others "Exceptions" values but still does not work.
    Calendar FR is customizing with working days only monday to friday. Saturday and Sunday are untick.
    Step 2 : Link service profile with product 'Investigation'
    Step 3 : Calculation of dates
    I need, for 'DATE B' to be calculated +2 working days compared to DATE A (here, ZPLA_RECEPTI)
    I have added SERWI into the XML determination of dates
    Step 4 : Date profile
    I have added Service profile as reference objects of the date profile
    Into date types, I have added the DATE A calculated from rule seen in step 3.
    Step 5 : Result KO
    Date A is the date for calculation of Date B (here, Date objectif Accusé Réception).
    It is added 2 days as written in the xml but it is week-end days and the result date should be 06.01.2015 and not 04.01.2015.
    Am I missing something here?
    Thanks a lot,
    Regards,
    Anaïs

    Hi Ravi,
    For this date type, I have reference object SERWI :
    for Varience, do you mean in the service profile?
    It is customized as follow
    Still does not skip weekends ;(
    Thanks a lot for your help,

  • Production Orders, Varience  & costing

    I have many customer that are using SAP production orders with either moving average of FIFO and are surprised by the varience that are created by SAP production orders.  This is not typical of a 'actual' costing system.
    When a production order is closed, it will create a Journal entry to a varience account is created for the cost of the material that is in excess of the standard BOM.  Obviously, this can only be calculated when the M.O. is closed.
    This method does not support an 'actual' cost company - this is a varience posting.
    It would be better if the over or under cost could be handled in a manner similar to an AP invoice with a changed cost.
    In other words.
    Change to inventory gl account *   (total on hand for this item  /  units for this production order  OR 1 which ever is greater)
    Charge to varience account
    Change to inventory GL Account -  ---The remander from the above calculation --- (Change to inventory gl account *   (total on hand for this item  /  units for this production order  OR 1 which ever is greater))
    The variance would only be for items that are no longer in inventory.

    Hi,
    What I meant is,

    Planned End time :  2PM on the 10th Dec,2008
    Actual Start time : 8 AM on 10th Dec,2008
    Actual End time  : 6 PM on 10th Dec,2008
    Here how will we accout for the 4 hrs.? Client donot want this(due to reasons best known to the client, though this is not advisable).

    You are trying to ask some information but your question itself not clear. Always try to express more elaborate, so that your problem will be solved easily.
    In general your variance is calculated in this way.
    Material Cost :- Actual Quantity Consumption * Moving Average Price / Standard Cost as per the price control in the material master
    Activity Cost = actual time / units recorded during production process * Planned activity rate maintained through KP26
    Overhead Cost = as per the assigned cost sheet
    variance = Actual (Goods Issue Cost + Activity Cost + Overhead Cost - Goods Receipt Value)
    Explain your question in detail so that we can help you more.

  • Tax Calculation of free goods

    Hi
    We have a requirement where the client wants only VAT to be posted in GL accounts and not the price.For this I tried free goods condition type R100 with AltCBV 28.But the VAT value is also coming zero. I want the VAT to be calculated on Pricing condition and then give 100% discount.
    Apart from this I also tried to make pricing condition statistical and calculate VAT on it but then also system gives zero value for VAT.
    Also wondering if the scenario can be addressed with Free of Change Dellivery.

    Hi
    Normally in scenario where you are dealing with samples , there are cases you have to charge only TAXES / EXCISE part.
    Here my SUGGESTION is you can handle this through a simple sales order process, where you have to configure a new pricing procedure.
    1. Create a new document type to handle samples.
    2. Create a New pricing procedure where you can keep the basic price condtion as Statistical and rest all same as wht is is there your main pricing procedure. Just juggle with the TO-FROM to capture the TAX part in the total.
    3. Doc pricing procedure will help you to pick the new Pricing procedure
    4. Now Process this as a normal sales order
    5. This new document type will help you to have a proper reporting.
    The only constraint here is USER has to punch a fresh order seperately for such scenario. He cannot give a free good in the same sales order which is used as standard.
    The other way is you can configure a FREE GOOD Determination procedure as suggested  where you need to then have your Single pricing procedure accomodating the same scenario.
    Thanks

  • If statement in Custom Calculation Script

    I have 16 fields and if even one of them ="1" I have to list it in another field.  I do not want to count or sum.  If one of those fields has a 1 in it I just want the other field to display Y and if none have a 1 I want that field to display N.
    Please help.
    Thank you in advance~mjc

    You need to write a compound logical statement to evaluate all of the values and that statement needs to evaluate to true or false.
    Do you know how to write JavaScript?
    Do you know how to enter JavaScript calculations into a form field?
    For custom calculation of the text field I could write something like:
    // define an array of the field names to check
    var aNames = new Array("Text1", "Text2", "Text3", "Text4",
    "Text5", "Text6", "Text7", "Text8",
    "Text9", "Text10", "Text11", "Text12",
    "Text13", "Text14", "Text15", "Text16");
    // define a logical variable that is true if any field has a value of 1 - default is false or no field has a value of 1
    var bMatch = false;
    // value for text field
    var TextValue = 0;
    // logical value of field being equal to 1 test
    var FieldIs1 = false;
    // loop through all the fields and test the fields value
    for(i = 0; i < aNames.length; i++) {
    // logically OR the result of field i value equal to true with bMatch
    // get the value of field
    TextValue = this.getField( aNames[i] ).value;
    // test the value of the field
    FieldIs1 = Number(TextValue) == 1
    // logically OR the 2 values
    bMatch = FieldIs1 | bMatch;
    } // end field processing
    // set the field value
    if(bMatch == true) {
    event.value = "Y";
    } else {
    event.value = "N";
    You will need to change the field names to match your fields. You can add more field name or remove field names as needed and the script will adjust for the number of field names.

  • If statement in calculated batch characteristic (dependencies)

    I have a little problem with calculating a certain batch characteristic.
    The situation is the following:
    I have batch char A, batch char B and batch char C. Batch char C is the result of the sommation of char A and B. The problem I have now is that batch char C only should be calculated when batch char A and B are different from 0.
    I have a custom build interface that imports QM data to the batch chars. Default, all my batch chars are set to 0 so if I just say $self.charC = $self.charA + $self.charB, I always get a value.
    Is it possible to some sort of IF statement to check if the value is different from 0?

    Dear,
    You need to try with variant table
    take all the combination and enter in a variant table and see the result...it works
    example
    A     B      C
    0      0      space
    0      1      sapce
    1      1      space
    I hope you got it

  • Pension not calculated when EE is hired mid-month

    Hi All
    Please suggest for the following....
    When an Employee is hired in the middle of the month, the system doesn't calculate Pension Contribution.
    Like if an EE is hired on 10th April. The system will calculate all payments & deductions, but it is not calculating the Pension Contributions.
    I am maintaining IT 169, 171 for Pension Contribution.
    The problem I found behind this is.....(WIth the help of an ABAPer)
    -: System checks the Payroll Period Start Date with the Org. Assignment start date. When it doesnu2019t match, the system does not calculate the Pension Contribution.
    For the time being I solved this through the following action -: In debugging, I canceled this condition (skipped this check). Then it calculated the Pension Contribution.
    But, this is not the right solution for achieving that as we are changing standard SAP coding.
    Please suggest any solution for the same.

  • Mid-Month Calculations

    I am bringing a fixed asset system online in SAP and during the legacy conversion it was realized that the test system is not calculating the depreciation using a mid month convention.  That being said looking at the configuration the company code was setup in 2005 and is in production and is productive (since 2005).  So it appears that this setting is global and SAP will not allow me to change these settings to allow mid month calculations.  Is this correct? anyone ran across the same issue.
