Vault Doesn't Seem to Update

Am having a problem updating my vault. I have Aperture 3.0.1 and a single 25GB library. Vault has always worked in v 2.1.4. Since upgrading, I've not had any crashes and things seem to be working pretty well. However, my vault shows it needs to be updated (vault update icon is red), and when I click update, all it seems to do is "calculate size". It never goes on to update and icon remains red.
Any ideas what the problem might be?

Yes. That is exactly what mine did. Vault updater calculated space then quit trying to update without any indication of why it failed. The update icon remained red. So I made a copy of the old vault file from Finder just to be safe, then deleted the vault from within Aperture and immediately created a new vault. Aperture created it without any problem and does updates just like it used to. It's been a week or so now so I'm about to delete the copy of my old v 2.1.4 vault as I've had no other problems with v 3.0.1. Go for it!

Adobe Content Viewer doesn't seem to update

Hi,
I have just produced a folio with 2 articles, it says my folio is now in the cloud but when I go to Adobe Content Viewer on the iPad nothing shows up. It says 'Updating Library' for about 5 seconds then stops.
I think I am using the latest folio builder (11.4.3.20111129_m_672305 / 7.5.5.17 in CS5.5.

Have just tried your suggestion, signing out of acrobat.com and killing the app completely and restarting but no improvement.
After opening the folio in my browser on acrobat.com's folio producer, it says "Missing or unable to load layout". I'm guessing this has something to do with it?

My App Store doesn't seem to update any of my apps and can't download either.

Hello I have an iPhone 5s and every time time I try to update am app, it is stuck in the endless circular motion and never moves to the update part. The same thing happens when I try to download any app. It just continues to go on forever in the endless circular motion next to the app on the App Store. I've tried resetting my settings but they don't work. Any help will be great thanks.

Is this issue isolated to just the App Store and not the iTunes Store or iBooks Store?

If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
Although you are not getting an error message, we need to know you can connect okay.

Make sure there's enough free space on the startup disk to install software updates...
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.

Hard Drive: The Hard Drive is on my camera (Sony Handycam)
Just needed some info on what is going on with your particular system.
Knowing the exact camera model will also assist us.
If this camera is standard AVCHD you should be able to connect with USB to Mac with FCE open and use Log and Transfer without all the fiddling around converting etc.
What FCE does during ingest is convert files to AIC. (Apple Intermediate Codec)
FCE cannot read the individual files in the BDMV folder, that's why all the converting is required when you use that method.
BTW: regards formatting drives/cards/memory on cameras; it is wise to use the actual device to format rather than a computer. This is a prime cause of read/write goof ups with solid state media. This applies to still or video cameras.
Keeping the COMPLETE card/memory structure in tact is vital for successful transfers.

My shuffle doesn't seem to be able to play podcasts after the 1.02 update. I drag songs onto the shuffle in iTunes and it loads. The playlist for the shuffle says the podcast file is on there. I plug the shuffle back into the computer and iTunes still shows that file is on the shuffle.

Is your "shuffle"/"play-in-order" switch set to "play-in-order"?

This update and message appeared last evening but doesn't seem to complete. It also says "downloading", but nothing is happening.
How can I complete the download or eliminate it?

If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up.
You should have a look in:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/Extensions
You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple.

haha, so now i'm thinking. I'm learning the terminal as fast as i can but there are several lines of codes and commands in there that throws up red flags to me that i don't fully understand. It just looks fishy too me. It would be highly appreciated if someone could just check this out just to tell me that i don't need to worry about it. Or point me in the right direction. My HP scanner/printer scans but my iMac doesn't seem to accept the scans in either iPhoto or Pictures. I've got os 10.6.8 and all the latest sofware updates for the scanner and for iPhoto. Helpv

My Hp printer/scanner C5280 used to work fine with my iMac with OS 10.6 but lately after doing the scan it doesn't seem to finish by putting the scan in either iPhoto or in pictures. I have all the latest sofware updates for both devices. The scanner does the "preview" scan right away and the copier works fine. Is there some setting I am overlooking?

Try using Image Capture, you will find it in your Applications folder. In either IC or the method you are using you can tell the application to scan to a destination. It will look similar to:
If you still have trouble give AppleCare a call or visit your local Apple Store Genius and they can walk you through it. Your problem may be the at you are not defining anything in the preview to be scanned, you do this by dragging the mouse over the area you want scanned and it will draw a box around it. Here is a screen shot that show's that.

Shared photo Stream - saved imaged doesn't seem to seemlessly update on all my devices

I have recently updated both my iphone 5s and my ipad to ios 8
I saved an image from a shared photo stream on my iphone (via the save image button) - on my iphone this is in my recent items and in my photos (collections/years). This however doesn't seem to stream across to my ipad and I thought it should. To see it in my ipad photos I have to save it on my ipad too which seems a little crazy. If I delete this from my iphone, all I get is a delete option, not a delete with the warning that this will also delete from my photo stream, so I am pretty certain this isn't streaming! I know I could just view this via the share photo stream, but it is a photo I wish to keep forever. Anywork arounds apart from what I am already doing?
Is this a bug in ios8? I have never had a problem doing it this way before and always managed to get this in my photo stream before

ITunes doesn't seem to be updating my podcast

I recently added my Podcast to iTunes, and I've done 3 episodes since then but none of them have shown up on the iTunes store page. If I subscribe though, it downloads them, but they still aren't on the iTunes store page. I've tried using the ping update by putting the URL into my address bar but that doesn't seem to work either. Could I please get some assistance?

hmmm...that's interesting. A lot of people have been having problems with iTunes 7.5. I know this probably really isn't helping but...iTunes is coming out pretty soon with a newer version so...just wait it out i guess. I don' really know what else to tell u.

HT4913 Itunes match is not updating recently added songs. It doesn't seem to be able to complete the update when I start to match.

I am experiencing difficulties adding new songs to icloud via itunes Match. Match just doesn't complete the update, keeps running and running, but never actually finishes. This make managing my music impossible as I can't make playlists until the songs have been loaded into the cloud. How can I fix or get around this? If this continues, I would like to remove Match entirely - how can I do this?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you should definitely be seeing a plus sign after tapping Edit, so I would try a couple relatively easy things (closing the Music app, resetting the iPhone):

Blog summary does not seem to update online

I've just updated a blog I've created for a musician friend of mine; it's been done on iweb 3.0.2 & published via ftp using godaddy: http://lauramoodymusic.com/lmm/news/news.html
However, the main blog summary which is correct on iweb, and the version published to a local folder, is not updating online. The new blogs are visible if you go to the archive, and by clicking on the RSS feed, but not from this front page... I've tried to republish all the relevant pages again, manually, but this doesn't seem to have worked either.
Help urgently needed.

iTunes does not read the tags until you select/play a track. It stores the tag information in its library file and this will not reflect changes made to tags with an external editor until iTunes looks at the track.
You can force iTunes to re-read all the tags by selecting all the tracks in your library, right clicking in the selection and choosing get info.
It is essential that you do nothing except click "OK" as any change you make would be applied to every track in your library.
Depending on the size of your library iTunes may take a while to complete the task.
It is always advisable to have your library backed up in case you make a mistake.
