Vendor id has changed to the name of the sample! Bug??

I started filling in the information on the itmsp file. Then I closed it and reopened it.
where before the Vendor ID was a number, now it has the file name of the Sample?? I haven't finished the itmsp file so I don't know what will happen when i try and upload but I'm guessing the program won't like it!
anyone had a similar problem or know hot to fix this??

Relinking where the filename has changed but tape name is the same, can it be done?

Should it be possible to relink to media based on matching tape name?
So i have X files in a folder, each has a unique tape name. Then some of those files are regenerated with different filenames but the tape name remains the same. I was naively assuming that the relocate dialogue, if you had tape name checked and nothing else would then match the files name for name and find them automatically.
That doesn't seem to be the case.
So am i wrong? Or is there a way of relinking several hundred files where the filename may change - how can i get premiere to relink to a file other than exact filename match?

Hi Fuzzy!
I did look at that but it's a large extra step that wouldn't be ideal. The idea is that i need a timeline just changing as files are updated in the background, i don't want to have an extra workflow step in there. I can probably arrange it so the filenames don't change (not ideal) but the key is that the linking dialogue appears to suggest that i should be able to relink using tape name but it just doesn't appear to work.
If i relink one of the files then i'd expect PPro to go off any find any other missing ones based on the tape name, but nope...

How to change the name of the Mac I connect to in the drop-down window.

Using my brand new MacBook, in the drop down menu when I connect to my iMac, it shows up as my name ( which is Derek Walton's Computer) ...... How can I change the name that shows up here? I have tried all areas that iI can think of and altered my name on the iMac but to no avail - e.g. - Network Sharing, Account Name, and so on.... anything anywhere I have changed... but it always shows up with my full name. I have however managed to get the name in the sidebar of the Leopard window to read as I want ( Derek's iMac) but that is all.
Also, when I am using Airport on my MacBook, in the drop-down menu I see also other neighbours connections.... I am wondering therefore does it follow that they can see my wireless connection ( as Derel Waltons Computer)?
This has been vexing me all night and I am geting very frustrated, but I bet there is a simple answer..... for those that know!

How do I change the name of the Home folder OSX 10.9

Hi there,
I am trying to change the name of the Home folder on my Macbook Pro running OSX 10.9 I had a clean install of 10.9, and used migration assistant to restore my settings from a Time Machine Backup.
The problem is that the Home folder for my user is now named "Cody 1" when it used to be "Cody". This seems like a minor issue, but all the programs that reference data in the old location, are forcing me to go and find the data manually. Everything from iPhoto to VirtualBox, all files have to be found manually.
I have tried the instructions set forth in this article, http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1428, but the dialog that should, according to the article, allow me to redirect the account to the existing folder, returns an error saying that the user name is already in use. There is no option to use the existing folder. I have tried re-naming the folder to something different, to no avail.
Ideas?

The Apple Support document you referenced is cumbersome, outdated, buggy, and too likely to result in the sort of problems you described.
It may be too late now but see the following:

Changing user account short name
Note that he writes it has been tested on Mountain Lion but the procedure appears sound and should work equally well with Mavericks.
Back up your system before doing either one.
To fix what happened might be possible in Single user mode. I don't have specific instructions but you should be able to find and delete user accounts in the /Users directory.
Type carefully and don't proceed without knowing the risks.

Changing the name of the podcast

Our podcast has been recently approved for itunes, which makes us very happy
however, we have noticed that the name of the podcast had an error.
Instead of "JustQualityMusic Podcast" we have "JustQuality Music Podcast"
We have already updated the xml file and did the ping.
Will the information automatically change after we do another ping or do we need to contact itunes support?

It should change once iTunes gets round to reading the xml file - this might take a day or two - or possibly when you add an episode. It's showing correctly already for subscribers (who of course go directly to the feed).

SOLUTION:
Iam pointing t0 windows7 os.
1) go to control panel
2) open hardware and sound
3) In that open Devices and printers
4)In that u can find Apple Iphone.
5) now right click on this --> Hardware --> Properties --> General --> Uninstall --> ok.
6) now unplug and plug in ur iphone again.There u go u iphone name changes to its original name.

I am having this problem. At first with the new iPhone 5, and then with the iPad 2. I am not sure why this is happening.
My gut feeling is this is an iO6 issue and here's why -
The problem mainly occurs with apps. I have about 150 apps, and when I plugged in the phone, iTunes went to sync all of them. The process would hang up after about 20 - 30 apps were loaded onto the phone. I could tell where about the process hung up because the apps on the phone showed up as "waiting".
Then on the iPad 2 I plugged in to sync and saw there was a huge "Other" component in my storage. It required me to restore the iPad 2 from backup. With this restore the same issues occurred - putting the apps back on the iPad would hang up. The videos on the iPad also got stuck - maybe after about 10 hours of videos transfered iTunes crashed.
My solution has been to soft reset the device, restart Windows, and continue the process until it's complete. This is remarkably inefficient and time-intensive but everything works with patience.
I have been wondering if others have had these same problems.

Change error tag names of the Response xml of a vanilla Inbound Webservice

Hi,
You should be able to edit the generated wsdl as you suggested, changing the
"return" to something else. Then save the wsdl to a file, say
"filename.wsdl", and then at the top of your jws add the following:
* @jws:wsdl file="filename.wsdl"
This will force the jws to use the wsdl you specify and you won't have to
edit any maps. Of course, as your jws changes, you will need to regenerate
the wsdl and change the "return" to something else.

I need to change the name of the machine where SAP WAS is installed. It also has a Portal & KM in it.
Will the machine name change affect the WAS/Portal in any way?

Hello guys,
Whenever someone changes the status of a service request then Siebel sends an e-mail informing the customer of that the status has been changed. When the customer opens the inbox he will notice that the sender is "[email protected]"We have a new request where the customer would like to view a different sender name in which instead of viewing "[email protected]" he would view "Technical Support Center" along with the message. Is there a way to change the name of the sender? If so how?

RH9-change the name of the project after it's been generated & released as help site.

I'm a novice non-programmer working in RH9 - client wants to change the name of the project that appears at the top of Internet Explorer. The project has been generated & released to their internal website. I've changes every file name I could find as well as the name in the title bar when you first generate it within RH. Any words of wisdom &/or advice are welcome.

It's not clear whether you are trying to do this the correct way which will require generating the help again or whether you are trying to change it just in the output on the server.
The latter is not good practice as it will get forgotten next time you generate and you will be back to square one. If you must do that, then it should be as simple as changing the start page title. You will need a copy of the file from the server. Open it locally and change the <title>, then upload it again.
The correct way is to go to Project Settings and change the name there, then regenerate.

When I go into some apps such as FileVault in the Security Settings it says 'Mike Laptop'. But that is the name of the MacBooks previous owner. I've also seen it in iMovie. How do I change it to my name?

This is the way FileVault-2's EFI boot authentication UI is built. When your Mac first starts up, EFI-boot takes over to decide what to do. It either continues to bring up the system to the typical OSX login screen, which is managed by OSX's system preferences, or it starts a special EFI pre-boot where it displays the FV2 unlock screen with the icons of designated OSX accounts approved to unlock the disk.
Once you log on, the EFI unlock sequence carries forth your credentials, performing a single signon. This is fine for some people but not for others, including me. I added a PolicyBanner that still comes up during the signon process but it come up too late.
I have submitted a UI request (not as a bug) to be able to either edit the EFI boot screen (look at /usr/standalone/i386/EfiLoginUI directory, none are editable using normal applications) or ask that a feature is included, probably in the FV system preference pane, to add a custom banner. I didn't include the request to allow just the name and password fields but that's something I'd also like to see. One problem with this account display method has to do with people trying accounts that aren't authorized to unlock the specific computer. I haven't tried using an incorrect password more than 3 times yet to see what happens.

How can I change the name of the EM Agent while installation

My machine has 2 names both physical and virtual.
And when I install Agent the Agent is registered with OMS with the physical name.
Is it possible to register the agent with virtual or some other name.

I would not recommend to install the agent with the virtual hostname. The name of the agent must not change! If for some reason, the virtual hostnamename changes, you are in trouble. Therefore use the physical hostname.

Tracking the name of the column that is changed

How i can track the following information about a table
say i hve the table name tab1 which is like this

1 2
Now if i change the value of col1 by a trigger i can track the change value but how can i track the name of the column
say in the table tab2 i am tracking the result
changed_col_name changed_val prev_val
now changed val and prevval can be tracked by trigger but in the column changed_col_name how i can track the name of the column which i changed?

You are being rather unclear here.
If you change the name of a column your trigger will need to be amended. I don't think you're actually asking to track changing actual column names.
What you require is to track value changes and want to know how to assign which value to which column.
each value is associated with a column, therefore if you track that the 5th value in your value clause has changed that means that the column that is affected is the 5th column in your column list.
A simple if block would do the trick.
But probably a better suggestion is to store the rows in a history table.
Each time theres a change insert into the history table (which has its key column based on a sequence or a timestamp)
Then to see whats changed you can merely compare the current row to the previous row

Changing the name of the computer and the effect on Time Machine?

I have a new iMac and used my MacBook Pro's Time Machine backup to migrate over. Everything works fine and the entire system, settings, everything are just like on my MBP, plus whatever was needed to make the wireless kb and mouse work. So that's all fine.
The only thing is, the name of the computer is also DougMacBookPro.
I have a 1TB drive I freshly formatted for Time Machine backups just for this new machine. The old backup on a portable USB drive still exists for when my MBP comes back from repairs (portable Time Machine for travel).
Anyway, to my question. In the 1TB new Time Machine drive, the name of the backup folder is Backups.backupdb > DougMacBookPro.
I probably should have changed the name of the computer prior to doing my first Time Machine backup. And I can always start over since I only have half a day of backups anyway.
But my question is, what happens if I change my computer name now, after Time Machine has already started backing up? Will it rename the folder? Will it create a whole new folder, thus wasting all the space from the initial backup?
