Vendor not known in backend

Hi All,
i am using ECS (Server 5.5).
Employee created SC, it went PO held status, i login as a purchaser and when purchaser add vendor (F4) it says no values exist, now i enter the vendor manually in the field, it says "vendor is not know in backend".
I replicated vendors from backend and maintained all the attributes also.
thanks
ravi

Hi Ravi,
Check whether the replication of vendors is properly done or not.
Check for the entry of replicated back end vendors in VENMAP table. Also all the replicated vendors would have come and sit in your Vendor Root Org.
Check the attribute settings of the vendor root org like Co. code, logical system for vendor, accounting system for vendor etc.
Also as explained above check whether the vendor is assigned to responsible P.Org, logical system and responsible back end vendor using Manage Business Partners transaction under the Vendor Data tab.
Hope this helps in resolving your issue. Clarifications are welcome.
Award points for suitable answers.

  • Desirable Vendor not populating in backend (R/3)

Key Words: Desirable Vendor, Vendor Replication
    System:  SRM 5.0, SAP R/3 4.6
    Scenario:  Classic
We replicate vendors for the backend R/3 via BBPGETVD.  However, when ran BBPGETVD we had some errors so we had to select “<i>If R/3 Number Assignment is not Possible.  Internal Number Assignment</i>”.
We have set-up EBP and are able to create requisitions (PR) in the backend from the SCs.  However, the PR that is created in the backend (R/3) the Preferred Vendor is not being populated even if we select a vendor in the Source of Supply section of the SC.  The vendor number of the Vendor that is selected is not the vendor number is in the backend.
Could my problem of the Preferred Vendor not being populated because the vendor number does not match?   i.e. the vendor number in EBP does not exist in R/3
If this is the case, what do I need to do to the vendor number in EBP so they match the vendors number in the backend.
I know that view BBPV_BUPA_VENMAP shows the mapping of the replicated vendor s in EBP to the vendors in R/3.
Any  help, suggestions, etc. will be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Derek,
I ran BBPMAININT and made the changes.
You have to run the transaction in a new session
    1) frist do /n in the  Command field
    2) then enter TCODE: BBPMAININT
    3) then Manage Busines Partners will show
    4) enter the serach for the BP and edit
    5) screen to edid/amin the BP will appear
    6) change to edite mode and make your changes and fill in all the required information.   You will ahve to scroll down to find all the fields
    7) scroll to the bottom and click on 'Vendor Data'.  A new screen will appear....SCROLL to the bottom
    8) near the bottom there is a tabel where you enter the Logical System, Vendor number (the R/3 vendor #)
    hope that helps.

  • Vendor not inteded for Purch. Org.

    Dear all,
in ECS SRM 5.0 I am facing an error with some PO:
In transaction process PO (BBP_POC) I can not create a PO due to the message and PO remains in status held: Vendor not intended for purchase organisation XXX
In fact the error message is correct as the vendor is not open for this purchase organization. But even if I change PORG and PRGRP to the good organisations for which the vendor is open, I still get the same error message. The new selected purchase organization and group is not taken into account.
If I check the relevant tables with BBP_PD, the good purchase organization and group is stored.
    Some idea?
    Thanks in advance

    hi,
You have to maintain P.Org data for the vendor in "Manage Business Partners".
In the change mode, maintain P.Org in Vendor Data Tab.Also you have to link the vendor with the backend (R/3) vendor.
In the "Vendor Data" tab of the Manage Business Partners there is Vendor Purchasing Data where you maintain P.Org, P.O Currency etc and Link to Back end system where you maintain the back end logical system and the corresponding back end Vendor who is responsible.
See these related threads for more pointers:
SAP OSS Note 1026168 - Vendor &1 not intended for purch. org. &2
Error vendor is not intended for p org

  • Replicated vendor not visible in SRM

    Hi all
I have one problem. I have got the vendor which is to my understanding replicated to SRM. In synchronization cockpit I received the error message that the business partner already exists. Fine...I check it in the PPOMV_BBP and the vednor is displayed there but strangely it is not assigned to any vendor group. Hence this vendor cannot be used at shopping cart creation.
Any idea how to assign it to vendor group? Usually during the regular replication the vendors are by default assigned to vendor groups. We are using Add-on, release 5.5.
Thank you all a lot for any hint.
    Miha

    Hi,
I have had a similar problem. My advise is to try to change the vendor address in the backend system, for example the street or the post code, and after that to replicate again only this vendor in SRM by transaction BBPUPDVD. Do not forget to check the log in SLG1!
After that go to PPOMV_BBP, and try to find the vendor, first as a vendor and after that as BP. If in both cases you managed to find it - everything is ok.
After that you can go back in the backend and return the old address of the vendor and replicate again. It worked for me!
    Hope this will help you!

  • "Name not known" error in all PCR of the MSS Package

    Hi,
I'm getting an error in the PCR workset of the MSS package.
When I submit any form the error which I get is
"Name not known.Check your entries" .
Is this due to some problem in R/3 settings?
Also when I submit a PCR "Request for separation(enhanced)" I get an exception.
The log entry for this exception is as follows:
_27##0#0#Error#1#com.sap.sup.admin.connector.AbapConnectorLauncher#Plain###Cannot start ABAP Connector Listener. Please try to configure the connection in ABAP Systems Management (Setup Local Connectivity).

    Hi Justin,
With other words, you are using the BP for MSS 60.1.5 or later.
Can you connect to the backend via a Java Connection?
Also this link will guide you much further. It helped me a lot for the new MSS forms (ECC 50).

  • Vendor not intended for purch. org.Purchase Deportment

    Hi Gurus
Whenever we are trying to create the SC with source of supply with one user we are receiving the error message as "Vendor XYZ not intended for purch. org. XYZ Purchasing Department ".
    Please suggest.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sada

    Dear,
I like to suggest the below to check once (as i found on web):
In SAP SRM 5.0 (SRM Server 5.5), the "shop with limit" functionality is a standard capability.
There is really no special configuration required for "shop with limit" as opposed to the "describe requirement". As long as u specify the vendor (if known), acct. assignment (if known), the corresponding cart is created.
Unfortunately, you have not provided the complete error on the Vendor, but I'm assuming it is: "Vendor not intended for purchasing organization". This is usually the case if the Vendor Organization does not have a purchasing organization assigned. Check the BUK attribute for the vendor org in PPOSV_BBP and also make sure the purchasing organization is assigned to the corresponding company code organization unit in PPOSA_BBP.
    Regards,
    Syed Hussain.

You need to associate the Logical System in SRM with the SLD Business System.
This is how to do it.
In the SRM system, go to the IMG through SPRO:
Goto SAP Implementation Guide->Supplier Relationship Management->SRM Server->Technical Basic Settings->Define Backend Systems
You should have the logical systems defined there.  Scroll to the right and add the SLD Business system name under the "System Landscape Directory Name"
This should do it.  Now when SRM tries to process the message from the Business system, it will look up the corresponding logical system from this entry.

  • Could not connect to backend system through portal via Web Dispatcher

    Web dispatcher redirecting problem
    Dear Experts,
I have implemented a scenario which comprised of customizing that is developed in Portal EP7. What customizing does is getting report from backend system (ERP 6.0)
According to the needs for reaching the portal from internet I configured the SAP Web Dispatcher in the environment as you may see its contents below.
The problem is when I run the customizing in portal system then it requires connecting to backend system (ECC 6.0) to get the data (report). But from this point on web browser comes to a blank page, could not view the data that is from backend system via portal. Because in the time when it tries to retrieve data in backend system, on the left bottom of the explorer the indicator shows internet address that system uses connecting to the backend system as local network address of the backend system which is not known in internet therefore I get blank page.
The question is how to configure the web dispatcher in a way that both portal and backend systems could be reachable from internet?
    Contents of profile file of Web Dispatcher as;
    SAPSYSTEMNAME = WDP
    SAPGLOBALHOST = portald
    SAPSYSTEM = 02
    INSTANCE_NAME = W02
    DIR_CT_RUN = $(DIR_EXE_ROOT)\$(OS_UNICODE)\NTAMD64
    DIR_EXECUTABLE = $(DIR_CT_RUN)
    Accesssability of Message Server
    rdisp/mshost = portald
    ms/http_port = 8101
    Configuration for medium scenario
    icm/max_conn = 500
    icm/max_sockets = 1024
    icm/req_queue_len = 500
    icm/min_threads = 10
    icm/max_threads = 50
    mpi/total_size_MB = 80
    SAP Web Dispatcher Ports
    #icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=81$$
    SAP Web Dispatcher Ports
    icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,PORT=60000
    icm/HTTP/redirect_0 = PREFIX=/, TO=/irj/index.html
    icm/HTTP/redirect_0 = PORT=50000
#maximum number of concurrent connections to one server
    wdisp/HTTP/max_pooled_con = 500
    wdisp/HTTPS/max_pooled_con = 500
    Configuration for medium scenario
    icm/max_conn = 500
    icm/max_sockets = 1024
    icm/req_queue_len = 500
    icm/min_threads = 10
    icm/max_threads = 50
    mpi/total_size_MB = 80
    Regards,
    Ali Taner

    Hi,
To resovle this you must have registered FQDN for your backend system as well. When you call the report from Portal using internet it should call that FQDN of your backend system then DNS will resolve this & you will get the expected page. This way only you can resolve this issue.
    Thanks,

  • Deployment warning: SC null null not known yet, can not get release level

    Hi everybody,
During the deployment I'm getting the following warning (application_00.log):
SC null null not known yet, can not get release level for vendor: 'se.sync', name: 'BPE', location: 'Deployment Manager', counter: '42', change number: 'null'
BPE is the application name and "se.sync" is the provider-name from application-j2ee-engine.xml.
This seems to indicate that some release level (version?) is not set... How can this be fixed?
    Regards,
    Milosz

    Hi Milosz,
the warning is because the deploy controller checks for correct version numbers in the DC/SC that is deployed.
You can just ignore it, your application should run just fine.

  • "Operation not supported by backend" while getting photos from camera

    The situation is as follows:
I'm trying to copy photos from camera using a file manager (thunar in this case). The attempt fails with a message "Operation not supported by backend".
    Configuration:
    uname: Linux xxx 3.9.6-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Jun 14 08:12:55 CEST 2013 x86_64 GNU/Linux
    libgphoto2 2.5.2-1
    gphoto2 2.5.2-1
    gvfs 1.16.3-1
    gvfs-gphoto2 1.16.3-1
    thunar 1.6.3-1
    mount info for this case:
    gvfsd-fuse on /run/user/1000/gvfs type fuse.gvfsd-fuse (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=1000,group_id=100)
    What is known:
Everything was fine on 2013/06/13 - I was performing successfull copying operation on the day.
The exactly same message started to appear on a different machine running Arch, with both unupdated Nautilus from 2.x line and latest pcmanfm. No other machines were tested.
Only copying and moving files/directories via file manager doesn't work. I can browse the camera and delete files and directories with no problems.
I can copy the files using cp (via gvfs mount).
I can grab the files using gphoto2 from command line.
Applications are able to open the files with no problems (via gvfs mount).
Downgrading gvfs, gvfs-gphoto2, gphoto2 and libgphoto2 to versions from before 2013/06/13 doesn't fix the issue.
    Logs are clear.
First I suspected that something is wrong with gvfs or libgphoto2, but I'm able to use them with no problems, as long as I don't try to copy a file via file manager. This could mean something is wrong with the file manager, but the issue suddenly affected three different file managers on two independent machines. And the logs remain silent. I have no idea how to deal with the issue.

mpan wrote:Usable workaround, not requiring additional tools, was posted in the first post: use cp on mounted partition or gphoto2. The problem is not how to retrieve the files, as this is obvious, but how to copy them using file manager or how to trace source of the problem.
Stupid me. Yes, you mentioned that. Sorry.

  • For GR material Docc is not posted to backend

    Hi,
I have a problem when try to do the GR. We have a PO for 2 line items. User has done the Invoice for these two line items for full Qun but with lesser amount than the PO. After that user have done confirmation for one line item. But this confirmation has not reflected in backend. But can see in SRM in Follow-on document tab. where the material document number (for backend) for this confirmation is not reflect in the follow-on document tab.
Now user is not able to do any other confirmation for 2nd line item or reverse the old one. Could any body inform me what exactly need to be done.
For your information we are using Classis scenario and we are doing the confirmation in SRM only.
    Thanks,
    Pijush

    Pijush,
Since the confirmation is not reflected in the backend, but you are able to do the same in SRM, can you confirm if you have configured message type MBGMCR as outbound (from SRM to ECC) under partner profile  in SRM and distributed the same?

  • Transfer Billing document to accounting, Error: 'Object not known in COu2019

    Hi all,
I have created an acquisition contract and subsequently created a billing document in CRM but when I try and transfer this to accounting, the system displays error message IAOM028 u2013 u2018Object not known in COu2019.  My account assignment category on the contract is EROBJ u2013Profitability Segment CO-PA, however I have tried creating acquisition contracts with other account assignments but the same error occurs, even though the controlling object exists in SAP ERP. Iu2019ve searched the SAP notes and I did see note 683886, but this affected release 4 and we are working with release 7. Any help or advice in resolving this error would be much appreciated.
Alternatively how do I mark the item category as not relevant to CO? For now itu2019s not imperative that I post to a controlling object? The SAP help portal refers to selecting (or in my case deselecting) the Service setting in the Assign BW/CO fieldu2019 but I canu2019t find this field on the item category. Any advice again would be greatly appreciated.
    Many Thanks
    Lee

    Hello,
The reason might be the transfer error, is due to the incomplete distribution of the order/contract to R/3 account assignment table IAOM_EXT_OBJ_INF.
For your invoice, check entry for document number/item number. It might be missing and if so, system shows error message as you mentioned.
If entries are missing, then the order/contracts need to be re-distributed to R/3, so that the entries are created for these missing items in the IAOM tables. The transfer process then will complete missing entries successfully.
To re-distribute to R/3, the respective document needs to be save after making a change in the document. Unless there is a change in the document, the re-distribution will not happen.
I hope this information may helpful to solve your issue.
