Vendor partner determinations

will vendor partner determinations work if we bring purchase orders through interface from legacy system which does not maintain partner relationships, do we need to map even partner functions or sap can determine them automaticaly from our customizing.

Hi Monica,
System will not define automatically the partner determination.if suppose you are uploading through some legacy also that vendor having partner determination system automatically identifies and attached automatically.but when uploading time is not updated onece data stored and again retriving on that time system chcks the related data
Hope this will helps you

  • Vendor Partner determination

    Dear All
I have created as I V invocing Party and assigned to L I, and all the necessary configurations with other partner roles also
the same was automatically copied to MIRO.
my Query here is how System exactly identifying I V vendor to MIRO even though my PO having so many other partner functions.
    Ramesh

    Hi Ramesh,
I think the key here is the Partner Schemas & also Assigning of Partner Schemas to Document Types
If you assign IV instead of Standard PI here in Partner Schemas, and then subsequently assigning this particular Partner schema to PO document type, then IV will be used instead of PI. This is because whatever in the PO will be brought over to GR and then IV in MIRO..
The above 2 configurations can be found from the paths below.
SPRO --> MM --> Purchasing --> Partner Determination --> Partner Settings in Purchasing Documents --> Define Partner Schemas
SPRO --> MM --> Purchasing --> Partner Determination --> Partner Settings in Purchasing Documents --> Assign Partner Schemas to Document Types
    Hope this helps.

  • Plant as a Vendor in Partner Determination

    Hi
In the Partner tabs, I need to determine the Plant as a vendor.
Do I need to create a relationship of the Plant with BP. If yes, what should be the relationship category? I am using "has undefined relationship".
To determine the Plant in Partners tab as one of the Partner, In access sequence, I have used the source as "Business Partner relationships" with the details on the source as Partner function - Sold to party.
In the partner determination procedure, I have assigned this Access seq, with function as Vendor.
While executing the transaction, I am not getting the Vendor determined automatically.
    Any inputs would be helpful.
    thanks
    Yash

    Yash,
In order to determine the plant as the vendor you need the following elements established:
    1.  Plants setup as business partners in CRM
    2.  Plant relationship to business partners in CRM.  You will need to create a new relationship category in order to set this part up.  Use transaction BUBA to setup the new category.  The role of the corresponding partner should be "vendor".  Now assign the plants to your business partner using the new relationship category.
    3.  Configure your partner determination procedure to pickup the vendor from the relationship category you defined before.
I have done something similar with a completely "custom" partner function so, this should probably work for something more standard like a vendor.
    Good luck,
    Stephen

  • Partner Determination in PO and OBDLV

    Hey @ all,
what I am trying to do right now is to implement a simple, customer specific partner determination procedure. For that I want to add a partner role and partner to an purchase order on header level.
The only place I found where I could add this partner is in BAPI_PO_CREATE1. But this BAPI is not used when I create a PO with the GUI (ME21N).
So do you have an idea, where I could add a an additional partner to the PO (User-Exit, Badi, Enhancement Spot ...)?
The same thing I want to do with the outbound delivery (VL01N). There is User-Exit MV50AFZ1 available. But there is the question: How do I add a partner within this user exit (structures to edit...).
Thanks for you help in advance,
    Rolf

    Hi,
If its specific to plant and vendor, then check whether the plant specific partner function has been activated.
Go to MK02 - partner function and go to menu - extras - Add. purchasing data and check whether "Data retent. at plant level allowed" flag is marked as shown below.
If so, go to menu - extras - Alternative data.
    Click on partner details:
Here, system will show plant specific partners.
Here, maintain the partner function PI for the plant and check the scenario again.
Another option would be to maintain the higher level search flag in the partner function configuration as highlighted below:
Now, system will search partners at purchase organization level, if no partner function is found at plant level.

  • Partner determination in control record for EDI

    Hi all,
I have a custom EDI output which goes into the delivery.  However this EDI output is not picking the correct partner.
The sales order with 2 plants would create 2 deliveries.   First delivery is created for plant A121 while second delivery is created for plant A710.   However, the vendor partner is not picked up correctly for plant A121 in the first delivery.  LIkewise the second delivery.  When the sales order has same plants, it create 1 delivery.  This comes out with correct partner.
My question is:  How is the partner determined in EDI control record before the delivery is created ?
In Partner Profile, WE20, there are 3 defined partners (100 LI, 200 LI, 300 LI).  For plant A121, the partner would be vendor 200.
    Thanks
    Joyce

    Hi Vinod,
Thanks for your suggestion.  I have condiiton record for this EDI which is plant and it would list the partner.  Somehow, it seems the plant is not picked up correctly when there are a few plants in the sales order.   Becasue the partner is not picked up correctly, it seems to affect other output types that are plant-based.
Initially the all output for EDI works fine.  There have been recent changes made to split delivery by plant which is fine  Output is one that are having issues.
Have you any other suggestions ?  I will continue to look at the program  you suggested.
    thank you.\

  • PO vendor partner role through ALE/IDOCs

We have ALE/IDOC interface with vendor. The requirement is PO will be sent to the ordering vendor and invoice should be received with PI vendor. We are using stardard message types for purchase order (outbound) and INVOIC (inbound).
Could you please guide me on how to set up partner profile in WE20? Do I need to define both the vendors as partner? and what partner function should I select in inbound and outbound for both the vendor? Any other settings is required?
    Thanks in Advance
    Sagar

    Hi,
The earlier answer was to your this question
Could you please guide me on how to set up partner profile in WE20?
Now to set up the partner function follow as below
In Spro>Purchasing>partner determination >first define the partner roles , role VN for vendor, role PI for invoicing party and OA ordering address are standard available then
Define permissible roles per Vendor A/C group ..based on account group of vendor you need to define a perticular partner role is permitted
Go to define partner schmeas for vendor master >select L1 vendor>partner functions in procedure>here you check your roles are available there 2 check boxes if you wnat a perticular role mandatory in vendor master you can check mandatory and if you want an option of changing the partner you can make it changable , better to make these two roles mandatory and OA changable
Go to assign partner schemas for vendor master assign L1 for your vendor a/c group
Then go to partner settings in purchasing document define partner schema select std.po >function in procedure>check roles VN,PI,OA
Select no change mandatory and higher level for all three
Go to assign schemas for docuemt>assign 0002 for document type in question
    Thanks

  • Partner determination at plant level

at present we are having partner determination at p.org level and plant level.
In our business we have a one vendor with 2 ordering addresses for 2 of our plants.
we had maintained these ordering address at vendor master --plant level.
when we are creating manual PO system is picking up the order address where as when we are creating automatic PO using ME59N transaction system is picking partner function maintained at p.org level rather than maintained at plant level.
    plz suggest the solution.

    Hi,
Check the intial requriment are there r not like source list before craeting the PO.
Check whether the Partner function are maintained at plant level in XK03 in partner fuctions selection field and also check whether you had ticked the data revel at plant level allowed.
    Hope this will hep you.

    Hi,
Error show no valid role of partner role in vendor account group.
Why you are using partner schema L1
1st assign Partner Function DP -Delivery Plant (partner role) to vendor  account group(ZV01) in following path:
SPRO->MM->Purchasing->Partner Determination-> partner roles->Permissible partner roles per account group
Now define partner schemas (Z111) & keep partner function u201CDPu201D under partner schemas Z111 in following path:
SPRO->MM->Purchasing->Partner Determination->Partner setting in Vendor master record-> Define partner Schema
Then, assign partner schemas Z111 to vendor  account group(ZV01) in following path:

  • Vendor Partner function setup for intrastat

    Hi,
I'd like to know how to set-up the partner functions for a vendor for the following case.
    Ordering plant: Belgium
Vendor has multiple warehouse in Belgium and in other countries in the EU as well as outside the EU (Switzerland).
At the time the PO is created, the purchasing department doesn't know from where the materials will be shipped.
    - If it is shipped from Belgium, it shouldn't be reported in Intrastat
    - If it is shipped from Switzerland, it shouldn't be reported in Intrastat
    - If it is shipped from an EU country, it should be reported in Intrastat
I've tried to set up partner functions in the vendor master
But I receive a pop-up at the time of the PO creation.
Is there a way to trigger the intrastat entry generation at the time of the inbound delivery note ? It's only at that time that the receiving department will know from where the goods were shipped.
    Any thoughts ?
    Thanks

    Hi all ;
Please look at document Partner determination .
I looked related notes but inbound delivery is not contacted with PD. It might be with a abaper.

  • CRM 5.0 Vendor Location determination in Order, Item not exist in Plant

CRM 5.0 I have read and implemented oss note 493497.  We use ECC ATP not APO.
If I create an order in CRM I find a vendor and the partner is added at the header and item.
If plant A is found and the materials exist in plant A then all works well and replicates to ECC.
But in cases where some line items do not exist in plant A, they exist only in plant B the order fails to replicate accross.  I have to manually change the item vendor to plant B then it passes to ECC.
I have read this SAP help but I am a bit confused why my test fails.
SAP Help > Location Determination in the Sales Order
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/5d/40053b1b3ecc35e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
Since we are using ECC ATP what do I need to correct?
OSS Note 513884 - CRM 3.0: Automatic Vendor determination in sales order looks like a good note but says it applies only for CRM 3.0.  Is it valid for 5.0?
What access sequence do you use for Vendor in partner determination?
    Will give points, thanks.

    Hello Sharad,
I gave you 6 pts, we have plants in the east, west, and central part of the country.
The East & West carry most products but only specialty or low volume products are stocked in the central.   If I change the access sequence to the material (central) then customers on the east & west will get stocked from the wrong location as all lines will pull the central location.
Is almost like the ECC scenario where you want to ship from closest location to customer but if product does not exist at that location then look at material master setting.  Yes, this scenario could cause an order to get shipped from 2 plants based on which products are ordered.

  • Configuration of Vendor Partner Function

    Dear All,
Please provide the configuration steps for vendor partner functions.
    Regards,
    Venkat.

    Hi venkat
    Partner Function:
In Purchasing, you have contact with various business partners (e.g. vendors or carriers).
For each account group, you can define which roles the business partners may assume.
Ex: You can specify that certain vendors may function as ordering addresses only - not as invoicing parties.
You can use partner roles both within a corporate group and to define relationships between independent firms.
Yes, when you assign partners for the main vendor. It will display all the partnering vendors for the Main vendor. Subsequently you will receive the invoices from the respective vendors.
And for that you need to configure the partner determination
    in SPRO --> MM --> Purchasing -->
    --> Partner Roles
    Define partner roles
Define permissible partner roles per account group
--> Partner Settings in vendor master record
    Define partner schemas
Assign partner schemas to account groups
--> Partner Settings in Purchasing document
    Define partner schemas
Assign partner schemas to document types
Follow the steps to complete the partner determination configuration setup.
And then create a vendor master record for the each account group (each vendor can have different vendor account group) and choose the respective partner account group and then create.
And maintain, the partner vendors in the main vendor (which is created with account group : 0001, main vendor partner role is VN).
    and
then you can see the partners in the Partner function in the Main Vendor Master record.
Pls follow the steps accordingly, you will get it.
    Reward if useful
    Regards,
    Shawn
