Verizon - CDMA and overseas use with a different GSM iPhone
I would love to make the switch from AT&T to Verizon. Problem being, as many have noted, that the Verizon phone only supports CDMA. I live overseas 6 months out of the year and have currently been using my unlocked 3G iPhone and have had no problems whatsoever. What are the chances of having two different phones with one account? The 3G being used exclusively for when I am overseas, the iPhone 4 for domestic use.
Problem being, my unlocked 3G phone is using iOS 3.1.3, whereas the new Verizon phone will be using iOS 4.3. Any way to reconcile this while retaining the same information on both devices?

What "account" do you mean? Do you mean one account on your computer with one iTunes library? If so, then it will depend on how much trouble you wish to go to. Synching mail, contacts and calendars between iPhone may not be too problematical, depending on how you handle those now. Sharing documents shouldn't be a problem at all, particularly if you use a cloud-based system such as Dropbox. Synching application data, though, could be a serious pain, regularly requiring backing up and restoring back and forth between your iPhones. Difficult to say with any certainty without knowing more about how you use your iPhone now and what apps you use.
Problem being, my unlocked 3G phone is using iOS 3.1.3, whereas the new Verizon phone will be using iOS 4.3.
That's going to be a problem if you have to use the backup/restore trick. And you may find apps that won't transfer data between versions, something which may force upgrade of the app and iOS.

When in recovery mode you can't backup the iPod.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

It may well be a measure to deter piracy by stopping a group of people from going around to a friend's computer and downloading purchases on the other person's computer. It is easy to avoid by making sure you have backup copies on drives at home so you never need to redownload anything.

hi i dont know if this will work for anyone but i had not been on itunes for sometime but today i went on to watch a new episode of walking dead but it said i still had to wait 36 days out of the 90days , i managed to get my episode to download load by clicking my apple id in itunes going to account and at the very bottom off the page there is a button that says reset all warnings for buying and downloading i pressed this then it let me download hope this works for you worked for me

Verizon V640 Express Card use with G4 powerbook: Adaptor needed?
I must move to rural area for a short period of time where I will need Verizon as my ISP provider. Cable/dialup/DSL are not options.
I am considering the Verizon V640 card for use with curent G4 powerbook. It seems to be the optimal card for use in any newer Mac models I might get in the future.
Verizon web site indicates need for adaptor for use in my PCI Type I/II (cardbus) slot. Seems to make sense, but I want to make sure.
Has anyone used the V640 card in G4 powerbook? Better solutions?It's an express card and is smaller that the pcmcia card that would normally fit into a powerbook g4 slot. It should fit normally into a Mac Book Pro. So, I assume it does make sense. At their web site they say it is a pcmcia/express card adapter.

Tthe brute force method: start with Settings > iCloud and turn off Find My (you will need the password), then change the iCloud ID, then go to the apps such as Messages, FaceTime, etc, and delete the Apple ID and enter the new one.

Unless you really only have one AppleID that you use with the iTunes Store there's really nothing you can do. In the case of having only one AppleID you should contact iTunes Store support, since that would be a server-side problem.

When you plug in your charger and attach it to the MBP, initially the light will turn green. If the MBP needs charging, a few seconds later the light will turn amber. That is normal. If your symptoms are different, then they may or may not be a problem.

Delete library from old ipod and start again with whats on another iphone
I'm using my daughter's old computer with itunes.
It has her library on it.
I want to delete the library and sync it with whats on my iphone.
I tried remove program and reinstalling from itunessetup.exe but the old library remained.
How do I get itunes with the songs from my iphone on this computer without having all the songs from my daughter's old library on it as well.If it's an older ipod, you can physically pull the files from it as though it was another hard drive and then add them to iTunes.
If it's an iPhone/iTouch, you need special software (unable to be discussed here due to TOS - look up "TuneAid" on the web) to get the music off the device and into the library. Without that, you can only overwrite (erase) what is on the iPhone and replace with new music from your library. -

Enjoy.Same issue that everyone else is having with me, and I'm also upset with Apple. Hardware is superlative, but software keeps going downhill. I'm running OSX 10.9 anditunes 11.4. I've tried every sync fix that may have worked for others, but nothing works for me. iTunes was great in the beginning, but the programmers seem dedicated to cutting its knees off with redesign that is inane instead of intuitive,, dropped feaqures, etc. I even hear the itunes 12 drops the sidebar!! I am getting the clear impression that the itunes group is a dumping ground for the rest of Apple. Fix this sync problem now. At a minum just re-use the code that worked before. N.
