Verizon with iPad Air 2

2Just picked up my new iPad Air 2 and when trying to set up my cellular data account, the only options are AT&T, Spring and T-Mobile.  I was told by Apple that the new iPad would work across all networks.  What gives?

Your iPad Air 2 will work on Verizon.  The catch is that Verizon will not support the new "Apple SIM" that came with the iPad.  Blame Verizon, not Apple......though the Apple Store sales folks should know this.  What you have to do is take your iPad Air 2 into a Verizon store, tell them you want a Verizon SIM card, and have them activate the device.  Verizon will NOT give you a SIM card at the store if you do not plan to activate the device immediately.  I know this because I just bought an iPad Mini 3, and walked out of a Verizon store 30 minutes ago.  I did not have the device with me, so the Verizon store manager would not give me new Verizon SIM.  I complained to the manager that I did not want to have to come back in again with my device.  He said I had the option of calling up customer service and Verizon would ship me a SIM.  I assume though that they will charge me a $35 activation fee and start billing me immediately prior to shipping me the card.
The Apple SIM is a great idea, but the carriers are not supporting it in the manner Apple had in mind.  AT&T is locking the SIM down once you activate on their network,  T-Mobile is doing the same if you activate in store.  The SIM will not be locked on T-Mobile if you activate from your iPad.  Verizon will not support the SIM in any manner.  That is why you must get a new SIM directly from Verizon.  I am not sure what Sprint's policy is.
Good luck!

Any body have their favorite  monitor to use with iPad Air?

I wasn't aware that the iPad Air supported external monitors. Based on that, I'd have to say that the iPad Air's monitor is my favorite, by default.

  • Canot email in pdf from pages + keynote with iPad air

I can't email à document in PDF from pages and keynote with iPad air. I reset the iPad an it don't work

Can you mail the files in any other format at all? Did you try emailing a Pages file as a Pages file or as a Word doc?
OK. My response was too late. If you can email them in another format, I don't see how the problem could be with the mail app, but I suppose it's possible anyway. I know that you restored the iPad, and this should help, but try resetting all settings.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. No data will be lost but all of your settings will have to be entered again.

    Hello yamacutta,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
The Photos app will not show you the actual file name of the photo.  However when you go through the image import process on your computer, you should be able to see both the thumbnail of the photo, as well as the filename of the image.

  • Pocket projector compatible with ipad air

What pocket projector works with iPad Air? Will the 30 pin adapter work with currently available projectors?

I dont see why any projector won't work as long as you have the adapter for it. Aaxa's pico projectors are said to to work fine with apple products as well as others like acer and optoma. Depends what you plan on using it for that should really matter these days. They should all work fine and things to think about are the features each projector has like onboard media player, USB or SD readers, Lumens, and most of all price.
But as a suggestion get the brightest you can afford you don't want to be stuck squinting cuz you can't see the deng thing. LOL

How to turn off the itunes sinck with ipad air?

Apple don't do trade-ins. You might find other stores that do, but you are likely to get a higher value for your current iPad by selling it privately instead of looking for a store that does trade-ins.

Does Magic Mouse work with IPad Air?

Yes, it is a Bluetooth device. However, my iPad will not connect to the mouse.  Not sure why.
I use my iPad as my personal computer. Mainly for surfing the web, social media, paying bills online... I already have a Bluetooth keyboard that connects to the iPad, so thought it would be nice to have a mouse.

  • Less than two week old iPad Air crashes with youtube/netflix and Safari when loading pages with video (i.e. Buzzfeed with links to youtube and vine). What's up with iPad Air's bugs with videos??

Week and a half old iPad Air crashes with light usage of youtube, netflix and safari pages with video links to youtube and vine. The consistency of problems with videos has led me to determine that it must be bugs with iPad Air. Anyone else having this problem?
Details: iPad Air 16gb wifi, have only used about 25% of space and always close all apps before opening another. I also have only had a max of two tabs open on safari of basic internet surfing (i.e. A google search page, or imdb for example). These crashes are annoying as sh......

I can well imagine that they are.
I would backup, restore to factory settings, restore from the backup and then try again. If that fails, restore again but do not use the backup - restore as new. If the iPad functions OK as new, then slowly rebuild the iPad adding your apps, music etc, methodically to see if you can pin down what might be causing the problem.
if all of that fails, it's time to schedule an appointment at an Apple a Store (must be done online) and have them take a look, or of it is lees than two weeks old, just return it for a refund and buy another one.
