Video appears as a jpg

Just upgraded to 3.6.14 and the web site below loads with a jpg instead of a video. The video controls I would normally see are not there.

This is a known issue. Since this version of Quicktime, they are more strict that movie files adhere to standards.
In order to fix these files, I used the free program iSquint, and re-compressed with the H.264 option ticked.

Safari HTML5 video appears dark

The video plays just fine in every browser, and I use the standard 3-codec approach. On every other browser, the video "melts" into the white background intentionally, but in Safari, the video appears gray and ruins the effect - any ideas why?

There is a known issue where video in regards to HTML5 appears dark, which was supposed to be fixed in Safari 5.1.4

Video appearing in a different location

Hello everyone,
I'm somewhat new to Dreamweaver and just completed a website with embedded QuickTime videos. All the pages look identical except for one in which the video appears in a different location on the web, than it does in Dreamweaver and the browser preview. The code for each page layout is identical. Any help resolving this would be appreciated.

Can I make iMovie theatre videos appear in my macs iCloud folder?

is it possible to make my iMovie theatre videos appear in my macs iCloud folder? Also, is there any way of doing this on iOS? I don't particularly need iMovie on my phone but would like to be able to access my movies

Hello, I was watching videos on my laptop normally but suddenly most videos appeared corrupted and won't open, I cant play them any more. I've formatted my computer but sadly they are still corrupted please help me what the hell happened to those files????I've
tried an anti-malware software but it didn't found anything...

So when you play them after exporting in QT and do get info what are the codecs and bitrates?
If you want to have life easier use MPEG Streamclip, open, select export to MPEG-4 and pick a preset from the iTunes button and you will be happy. And it also does batches and you may find it is also faster.
And it is free.

This has been discussed on the forum before. You might want to search using the search fnction on the right.
I think the solution is to put them in a playlist. It may be necessary to add track number too.

I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 5 and I am using the latest version of iTunes 10.5
I have downloaded three music videos by the same artist. The three videos appear in my Music library in iTunes
On my iPhone two of the videos appear twice with the other one appearing once as it should do. I have played all of these videos and they work fine. It is just annoying that two out of the three music videos I have are listed twice on my iPhone.
Would anyone be able to help me resolve this issue?

You may have some success getting the songs off your iPod by using the instructions/suggestions here.

Making video appear as if it is being pounded

Working on another football project. I have some great music that has a very distinct pounding sound during the end of the song (heavy bass). I am looking to find a way to make the entire video appear to be pounded, as if it had been hit by a hammer.
I guess the best way to describe what I am trying to do is something like an active, pounding livetype font.
I have tried everything I can think of using different filters, etc. but without any succcess. Does anyone have an idea that might help here?

I am a complete novice with Final Cut Pro X. I have learned enough to do what I need to do. That being said I would gladly give you that info if you would point me to where I would find it. When I do a "get info" on the mp4 file it tells me that the dimension is 640x480, the codecs are H.264, AAC, and I have 2 audio channels. I did not download the additional content for FCP.

.mfx audio & video appear only in video timeline - fix?

When I import .mxf files (1080x1920 30p, 100Mbps, Long GOP) into PPCS5, invariably
both the audio and video appear only in the video timeline, as one bar - therefore impossible
to edit audio (except very awkward and incomplete workaround by partially editing audio
in Soundbooth CS5). Others with similar sources, computer, software, etc., do not have
this problem (yes, we all so far have Adobe CS5 bug which causes one of two audio
channels to lag the other). Am running on validly tested and very powerful BOXX 4850,
WIN 7 Ultimate OS, with one of the Adobe qualified video cards - amazingly fast.
Exactly same bizarre behaviour shows up on same machine when running Vista Ultimate OS,
PPCS4, with enabling MainConcept plug-in to handle high data rate in PPCS4.
When the .mxf files are brought into Sony Vegas Pro 8, all editing (and laboriously slow export)
is handled beautifully and perfectly, but having been an Adobe Editor for past 13 years, would
like to continue with Adobe!
Any thoughts of anyone (experienced or not!) would be greatly appreciated.

hour days trying to FIX, found out where the audio was in CS5 Premiere - I started adding additional audio
channels to the SEVEN (which I hadn't set up for that many) that popped up when I first loaded CS5 (there
were only the as normal three video channels in the timeline), and when I added AUDIO TRACK 9, THERE
WAS THE AUDIO TIMELINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, I uninstalled CS5 Production Premium and
Sony Vegas Pro 8; CS5 was uninstalled because Adobe evidently doesn't feel that the fix of one audio channel
lagging the other with this kind of data is very important. I installed Production Premium CS4 and the Main Concept Plug In to permit import
and edit of the nanoFlash files (1080x1920 30p, 100Mbps, long GOP), updated, blah, blah, and loaded
Premiere CS4 - and THERE in the timeline, 3 tracks of empty video, and NINE tracks of empty audio, and I then imported
some files, dragged them to the timeline, and in video track 1 was the video, and IN AUDIO TRACK 9 WAS
THE AUDIO, fully available for edit.
Thank you again, it was in particular the query above re default source channel, etc.(which I had checked TWICE,
based on the suggestion, even though I KNEW that couldn't be the issue - but it was that query in particular
that led to me adding the described additional audio channels and finding the blasted hidden audio.
I have run into some bizarre issues, as haven't we all, but never anything like this. Now I can finally
get on with my life and begin to respond to the outrage of some of my delayed customer production.

All Plugins are up to date.
Unable to access the settings menu in Flashplayer when I right click on the video. It is grayed out.

Found this posted on another thread by letheaqua which solved my problem:
"A youtube or Firefox bug. Delete all cookies from youtube cookies first > open firefox tools> options> privacy> firefox will: choose in drop down box:use custom settings for history>
show cookies> delete youtube cookies
in box:accept cookies from sites> choose exceptions> add:http://www.youtube.com> click ok at bottom. Firefox will no longer accept cookies from youtube.
This is a temporary until bug is fixed"
