Video content download problems

For the last one week or so, I am having problem downloading video. This is what happens:
1. It goes through the download, completely.
2. Then it say "processing file"
3. At this point, it starts up the whole process of downloading all over again.
I am not having this problem with video podcasts, only TV movie, it seems.

I can't say for sure that this will help, but try upgrading to iTunes 7.1.1, which is the most current version, and see if that improves matters.

Premiere Elements12 "Online Content Download" problem ?

Using Win7 64bit and have Adobe Creative Suite 4 Premium including Premiere Pro CS4 operating on same PC without any problems. Recently purchased from Adobe and downloaded PE12 as an upgrade from PE8. Previously Premiere Elements 8 and CS4 operated same computer without problems
On each occasion after I open PE12 and attempt to drag a audio or graphic file into the timeline, the programs stops to download an 18meg "online content download" before the audio or graphic file becomes active (after download) but only so long as the program remains open. Have tried reinstalling PE12, same problem repeats.

You can get All the Content of a particular category using the Download All option after you right click one of the thumbnails. Then it is a matter of whether or not you want to wait for the processes to complete with the project or opened or download in background with project opened.
I have not found one button for a Download All and then wait for that to happen in the background or otherwise for All the categories including Instant Movie, Titles & Text, Audio, and Graphics. It has been one category at a time, re-starting the process to be described.

b. Status of Adobe Server
What particular movie menu are you trying to download? All those questions being asked, please review the following being presented just to establish a baseline and try to address your question
How do I tell PE12 to go get all of the content in one go or does it just do that in the background?
In Premiere Elements 12, under Titles & Text Tab there are the choices for that category. You select the one you want and right click the blue ban at the top right of the selected thumbnail. From the pop up, you select Download Now or Download All.
If I select Download All, I have found that All is referring just to the Content choices under Titles & Text and not all the categories that require this type of download, like Instant Movie, Titles & Text, Audio, and Graphics.
When I select Download All, I get the following....
If I click Yes, then I get
And, I select Download in background if I wish to do something else while the process completes. Can take hours depending on Internet connection and Adobe server and Content to be downloaded.
(I selected Titles & Text for this demo since I had already done the download for Tools/Movie Menu.)

Have you looked at closing your large project (with Tools/Movie Menu left at no menu - Reset if you have applied the one menu that comes with the program without download required)
Opening a new project and doing nothing but going to Tools/Movie Menu and doing the Content download using Download Now for the immediate need or Download All? Close out of that program...does not need to be saved. Open your large project and apply your movie menu.

'Basic Content Download' Problems

Hi, I've got a fairly average broadband internet connection and the 'basic content download' page that loads before you open your first session has been taking hours. The progress bar on the bottom doesn't even appear, let alone move. Should I keep waiting or is there a fix?

No.. not OS X.. but Logic itself.
A new version was released that has a fix for 'stalling' downloads.. That version is v10.0.1. You may have actually downloaded 10.0.0 and didn't get the newer 10.0.1 version depending on when you started the process as 10.0.1 was released very recently. You can check by going to the Logic Pro X Menu bar and selecting Logic Pro X/About Logic Pro X. The version number is located just below the large Logic Pro X Title in the 'silver' window that opens..
If it says 10.0.0 then quit Logic and go to the App Store application and select Updates and download the updated 10.0.1 version..
If you have 10.0.1 then, make sure you have turned off any firewalls such as Little Snitch for example.
Other than that... it's hard to say what your issue might be.. in which case, contact Apple directly for more personal help..

Advanced Video Effects download problem

Hey guys,
I am having problem downloading the advanced video effects for Creative Live! Cam Video IM Pro webcam. I tried downloading both with IE and firefox, but the same user agreement page keeps coming even when I press 'agree'. Is anybody else facing the same problem?
Does anybody knows what is the solution. I am sure ppl have been able to download these effects. Can somebody help?

Error (-69) attempting to download purchased video content to 160GB Ipod

I am attempting to download purchased video content from Itunes to my Ipod. Till recently there has been no problems. I believe this problem is actually stemming from the downloading of content to my computer resulting in faulty files that cannot be downloaded to my ipod. I am using a Dell XPS desktop computer running Windows XP Media Edition. All software relating to Itunes or my Ipod is up to date as of the writing of this post. My Itunes library, music and video files are downloaded to an external Hard drive rather than to my desktop because of the massive amount of data. As of about two months ago I noticed that many of my songs (about 1 out of every ten and many of which had been fine for months prior) was in some way corrupted. However my Ipod still has many of these same songs that work fine. Sooooooo. First- How do I replace individual songs or at the very least download all music and selectively delete duplicates. And Second- figure out what is causing BRAND NEW video files to download messed up. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Getting blocked plug in message when trying to access You Tube or Safari video. Downloaded latest Flash Player version 16.0.0 and didn't correct problem. How can I correct?

Try this, uninstalling and then reinstalling Adobe Flash:

Select the OSX for you run the .dmg installer (you can go to Safari Preferences/General "Save doenloaded file to:" select other and then select desktop from the left column.
Run the installer pkg.
When it has completed, reboot your computer to finish the install.

Okay, so here's a question from a new to mac guy. Many issues on old PC with real player and Media Player not getting along. Eventually had to delete real player and had to reinstall windows. I would like to avoid third party software if possible and stick with Quicktime. How do I install the mime plug in without installing Real Player?

Problems watching video content on internet

ive lately experienced real problem trying to watch video content like bbc news. i dont know what the issue is. im using the latest real player and mac os is upto date. even in firefox im having the same issue. any suggestions as to why and are others experiencing the same problem?

The BBC videos are playing for me as well- on both my intel & ppc os10.4.9

Do the BBC vids, play in a test or other user account?
If you don't have an other user account create a fresh test account.
Under the Blue Apple -> System Preferences /Accounts/ Login Options
Click on padlock to unlock secure Items,
Click the [+] to create the account, for ease you could enter test in all the fields, as you may know, the short name will be generated for you.
If you'ld like to utilize "Fast switcher', {so you don't have to log in & out] click on Login Options, and follow through,
Helps to know if this is system wide or isolated to your user name account.

Try emptying your browser cache more often. If you are using Safari, from the menu bar top of your screen click Safari > Empty Cache
Try a video on FB. If can't stream Flash content, back to the menu bar click Safari > Reset Safari. Select the top 5 boxes, click Reset.
If that doesn't help, try deleing Flash cookies > Flush.app – Flash Cookie Removal Tool For OS X | MacHacks.TV

IPhone not recognizing music & video content

Just after updating to iOS4 my iPhone suddenly stopped recognizing its audio and video content (the ipod app reports 'no content'). However, it does recognize that it has that amount of drive space occupied by "Other" items (when viewed in iTunes.) Strangely when in iTunes the media content can be accessed on the phone.
Also whenever I reconnect the iPhone to the imac, iTunes reports that it can't read the content and requires that the phone be restored. This I have done 3 times now all to no effect.
Can't seem to find any similar problems on the forums, any bright ideas on what might have gone wrong and how to fix it? can only think it has something to do with the new iPhone OS...

I have the same issue. I updated my OS to OS 4, then synced my music and apps. I can see the music in iTunes when I browse my iphone when it is connected to my MacBook Pro, but the "iPod" app shows no content and none of the buttons to respond to touching on that app. To test I bought a song and it was downloaded and it still says I have no content.

I am getting "blocked plug-in" for most video content that I try to view. I have followed counsel on here; only dead-ends so far. I have followed the command to download an updated version of Adobe Flash many times, but to no avail. Very frustrating. I am told by a friend that I should be able to select "enable plug-ins" on a scroll-down menu somewhere. I found such a menu on Safari; it is already enabled. Any help? I am on a MacBook Air that is less than a year old.

Keep getting an error message whenever I try to play video content on some www sites, particularly the BBC, in safari. It tels me that the plug in cannot deal with the mime content. Woks OK in firefox - but I want to use safari!
Don't get this problem on the powerbook, just the imac intel.

Many of the links that you visit on the web have been developed using one of several different methods.
I find that downloading all of the different Media Players often eliminate the problem you explain.

Quicktime
These 4 normally will cover just about anything you will encounter on the web.
If you are not able to view media on the web you will also be afforded the opportunity to download the correct player to view the content of the site you have visited.

Video content on Enhanced Version of book has disappeared

I had downloaded a sample of "The Prince of Tides" by Pat Conroy to my iPad. The book was supposed to be an "Enhanced Version" and the sample included a short video segment featuring the author. I believe that other video clips were to be included when the entire book was purchased. However, when I did purchase the entire book, no videos appeared, not even the one that had been seen in the downloaded sample.
I then tried to download the sample again to see whether the video was just something that was included as a come-on to entice you to purchase the entire book, but when I returned to the item page in the iBooks store, there was only a box indicating that I had already downloaded the book.
Any suggestions?

If you get no better suggestions, keep uploading your Canon still files into Aperture, but try uploading its videos to your Mac's iPhoto. You can import videos into iMovie from iPhoto.

Firefox 20.0.1 with Shockwave 11.7.700.169 crashes when you access web pages with video content

I have a problem with Firefox 20.0.1 under Windows 7 with Shockwave flash 11.7.700.169. When I access a web site / web page with some content that requires Shockwave (usually videos) I can view the video, however, when I exit Firefox, it will crash with "Firefox encountered a problem - check for a solution ...". I also have a web site "MyHeritage" that when I access a family tree I repeatedly get a message "Video driver stopped working - NVIDIA driver ... has successfully recovered". If I disable Shockwave, Firefox will not crash in both cases, unfortunately, I cannot watch any video content.
I did go to the Adobe web site and updated what I thought was my version of Shockwave, unfortunately this installed Director for netscape V12.2, I have disabled this plug-in.
BTW - running Firefox in safe mode (add-ons disabled) stopped my NVIDIA driver from crashing and also stopped Firefox from crashing when exiting.

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date using [http://mozilla.com/plugincheck Mozilla Plugin Check site].
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions.
If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow ''Update'' button or a red ''Update now'' button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.
