Video keep stopping

Hi,
I have noticed that when i use itvplayer or bbc player and some video clips from the Internet, Not from a dvd my screen freezes and the sound continues. I have to completely switch off and start again. It happens after about 20 minutes. Has any one any ideas what the cause is.
I have read a few of the other comment on the same problem but alas they confuse me even more. I'm not that technical sorry to say.
Have to apply the kiss application for me KEEP IT SO SIMPLE even I can understand.

It appears just to be on my imac as i have tried the same streaming channel adobe TV and all is ok on my ipad and macpro. It would seem that i do not have a problum with the broadband supplier.
I can play dvd with no trouble.
I will try some long video's on utube and see if they are ok.
I will let you know the result.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first.

closing all apps (for rare cases when a single app might render the sound system instable)
rebooting the iPad
So, don't get desparete: try the things in the video.
There are people who reported having forgotten an audio-bluetooth connection activated with a turned-off sound-system or speakers... or forgot Air-Play turned on... so be sure you disengage bluetooth and/or airplay.
On the 'hardware side', dirty dock connector (30 pin) can make the iPad 'think' it is connected to external audio - if so, cleaning it with a dry toothbrush can fix. Also, moisture in the headphones connector can make the iPad switch to 'headphones' even without headphones connected, making it silent: check if you can hear things with headphones plugged in - if so, try gently inserting and removing headphones a few times and check if you get sound back to iPad's speakers alone.

"iPhone video" - do you mean videos you made on the phone, videos you stream to the phone (i.e. Youtube, web video), or purchased videos?
"Stopping" - do you mean pause and restart, or shut off completely?

Video keeps stopping, but sound continues

Recording works fine, but when I try to play videos it keeps stopping but the sound continues. Tried som other programs from google play, and they work tiny bit better... they also stop (makes a loading sign), but also stops the sounds, before continuing after a second or two. But on a film lasting 1 minute it will stop more or less every 4 seconds for more "loading". I've had a Sony Xperia before where there never was a problem, but this on (got a new one last week) has had a problem right form the start. Any suggestions?

Settings > apps > all > camera > clear data > restart the phone record a new video BUT make sure to save the video on the internal storage and then try to play it I've seen this before and it's a SD card issue.

I use Adobe Flash player version 11.7.700.225 which is the latest version. can anybody tell me why my YouTube and videos stop and I cannot view them I have a macbook pro with retina display late 2012 and I am running OSX 10.8.4. Do I need some other flash to view or what thanks for your time.

I'm in the same boat. Safari 6.0.5, stalls, and stops playing video (youtube, vimeo, etc). I tried the same videos with Firefox and they play fine!
Running 10.8.4 on Mac tower.
I just switched from an older Macbook Pro 15" with the same OS version and browsers , and never had that issue. What gives?

I recently purchased the 'Out of the Game' music video for my 2nd generation ipod touch. It's the first music video I've purchased. I went to play it last night and it kept stopping at 17 seconds every time! The bar up top would continue to move, increasing the video time but there would be no music and the picture was frozen! Has this ever happened to anyone else? What can I do to fix it? Thanks

If you're streaming video it's possible that your internet connection simply isn't fast enough to stream video. Have you tried to start a video, then pause it and wait a couple of minutes, then play and see if you can get enough of a head start to keep going?
You can't put flash on the iPad, flash and iDevices will never play together. You could look to see if your source has an app or look into various third party browsers that support flash.

Single drive - 112MB
2 Drive Raid 0 - 196MB
Marvell 6G controller
Single Drive - 111MB
2 Drive Raid 0 - 215MB
not a big jump for 2 drive raid 0
i dont know that i would bother with an SSD drive, it might help with the cache files a tad.
yes the 980x is very much used by CS5, this is the first time i can ever recall recommending Intels most expensive processor.
especially being an over clocking fan myself.
but yes it matter that much.
its actually outpreforming Xeons.

Please provide more information. Are you trying to watch videos locally or online? (it sounds like you are online). What site are you viewing the videos on? Please be as detailed as possible.

My sound buttons keep stopping working and when I click onto a video it doesn't even have the little slider that you use to turn the volume up. What is wrong with my phone?

My sound buttons on my iPhone 4S keep stopping working, even wen I use the switch to turn my phone on loud it comes up and as soon as I hit a volume button it disappears! Also when I am on a video on Facebook etc the volume slider isn't there?

You need to re install OSX. If you have the dmg file downloaded via torrentz this is how you can create a bootable external HD or Flash drive (8 GB+)

Newest versions keeps stopping youtube videos even though they appear as fully buffered

As the title said I've had this problem for quite some months now with the lastest versions of Adobe Flashplayer. The problem is that whenever I watch a youtube video(using firefox), with the newest version of flashplayer, it takes noticeable much longer to start the video than with a older version of flashplayer. When the video has started it runs fine for some time (buffer is at 100%) and the video just randomly stops, notice that the "play icon" in the bottom left shows as if the video is still playing (i.e. you see the 'pause icon' as if the video is still playing). No buffer icon is shown in the middle of the video (because it doesn't buffer). In order to be able to keep watching the video I have to drag the "time picker" back before this occured and play it again just to skip over the time it happened. Example: I watch video X, video X stops at 00:43. I back the video up to 00:25 and press play, video plays as normal, i drag the time to jump over 00:43 and press play again, video starts buffering again and i can keep watching the video, may occur several times in the same video. At the moment I'm using flashplayer 10.1 but every website keeps ******** about that the version is out of date so I'd like to update to the latest version but without these problems..
Almost forgot: Using win 7 x64.

I can't play videos on my iPad they keep stopping

I am unable to watch movies or videos on my iPad 2. They keep starting and stopping. I can't even watch the iPad tutorials on the apple site!

Quit the Videos app by double tapping the home button to bring up the multitasking/recents tray at the bottom, hold down on any of the app icons in the tray until all the icons wiggle, then tap the minus sign in the corner of the Videos app to quit. Then restart. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button at the top of the iPad until the red slider appears, then slide to the right to power off the iPad. Turn the iPad on again by pressing the sleep button until the Apple logo appears. Once the iPad has fully rebooted, try the Videos app again.
Try a hard reset by pressing and holding down on the sleep button at the top of the iPad while holding down on the home button at the bottom, for about 10 seconds - until the Apple logo appears - let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. Launch the Videos app again and see what happens.
You may even want to try closing more apps as described above if the videos keep stalling. You may have too many things going on in the background.

Utube keeps stopping and I can not get it to finish any video. Anyone else having this problem. It is the only problem I seem to be having.

Most likely your EDGE signal isn't strong or fast enough. Try it with WiFi - if you see regular smooth performance with WiFi, then EDGE is the culprit and really nothing you can do with it.
If it doesn't run on WiFi either then you might need to reset your phone. If that doesn't work Restore your phone, If that doesn't work, return for repair or exchange.
At either rate, try it with WiFi first and see what happens.
