Video recording with USB 6509

I am working on one project. In which I have CCD image sensor with EIA B/W video camera and its output is connected to Analog Front End(AFE). The output of AFE is 12 Bit Digital data at the rate of 9 MHz. I am thinking to use USB 6509 for data acquatision from AFE. Actually I want to produce one video file(e.g. 30 second video) from the AFE that is the reason I am using USB 6509 to get the digital data in my computer.
I know USB 6509 is compatible with LABView SignalExpress software.
Now, My question is, as I have data to my computer using USB 6509. How can I generate video file (preferrable lossless compression) from the digital data using the SignalExpress or Do I need any other software?
FYI: I am new to LABView.

Hi erhk,
SignalExpress will not be able to create a video/image from the data; though, it will allow you to acquire it. If you can get the data into a 2D array of pixel values, you can use LabVIEW with the Vision Development Module to create a video with it. There also may be other programs out there that can convert the 2D array to a video/picture file.

  • No Audio on Videos Recorded with OS 2

Hello After a few days with the version 2 I just realized that when I transfer the videos  I recorded with my PB to my MAC, the videos dosen´t have audio.
All the videos recorded with the OLD PB version does have audio.
I have PB 2.0.0.7971 and Mac OSX 10.7.3
    Thank you.
PS. All videos work great on PB.

No, I imported by two different ways:
1.- Direct from PB as USB.
2.- Importing media from BlackBerry Desktop Software.
In both cases same result no audio in videos recorded with PB 2.0

  • BUG: Videos recorded with Lumia Camera can't be at...

In Lumia Camera 4.9.3.0 on my Lumia 1020 OS version 8.10.14219.341, videos recorded with the Lumia Camera software cannot be attached to MMS messages. It doesn't matter what size or length they are or wether they were recorded with the front facing or rear facing camera... they won't attach to MMS messages.
Instead, I have to load the Microsoft Camera app record the video with that, and that will allow sharing via MMS.  It's a pretty annoying bug with Lumia Camera.
    >>I was told to post this message to the nokia forums here after it was originally posted in the Windows Phone answer forums here.<<

Good day, adamz1977. We would like to know more about your concern. Are you getting any error message when trying to attach a video? Have you already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Lumia Camera app? How are you trying to share it? Is it via Photos hub or via Messaging hub? Let's try isolating the issue. You may try updating the system apps. Go to Store > ... > settings > check for updates. If you haven't checked if there's an available update for your phone, here's how: Software Update for Lumia with Windows Phone 8. We look forward to your reply.

  • Digital Video Recorder with Firewire 400 and new iMac

I just got a new iMac which has only 1 firewire800 and no firewire 400 ports. My digital video camcorder has a firewire 400 cable to transfer taped recordings to the computer (I want to import using iMovie 09). So, do I simply need to buy a new firewire 800 cable that will plug into my digital camcorder? The reason I'm hesitant is that I've tried using a USB connection, and iMovie 09 didn't open and doesn't recognize that the digital camcorder is connected when I use USB. Does iMovie 09 just no longer recognize my several year old Samsung digital camcorder, or does it just not recognize it with a USB connection, and it will be fine if I get a firewire 800 connection that fits the new iMac? Is there another type of converter--e.g., a cable that allows a firewire 400 to plug in on one end and has the firewire 800 connection on the other end?
    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I went ahead and got a new cable and now I can plug for digital video camcorder into my new Mac. Unfortunately, as I feared, the Mac still doesn't recognize the camcorder. I checked the system profiler with the camcorder plugged in, and under Firewire Bus it reads Unknown Device:
    FireWire Bus:
Maximum Speed: Up to 800 Mb/sec
    Unknown Device:
    Manufacturer: 0xF0
    Model: Unknown
    GUID: 0xF000FFFFFFFF
Maximum Speed: Up to 400 Mb/sec
Connection Speed: Up to 400 Mb/sec
    Sub-units:
    Unknown Unit:
    Unit Software Version: 0x10001
    Unit Spec ID: 0xA02D
Am I just out of luck--the new mac just doesn't recognize my slightly out of date digital video recorder? Or should I be able to get a driver to make it work?

  • Can I video record with iMac?

Can I record video directly with the built-in iMac camera?
    I am using OS X 10.8.3

You have different ways of recording video with the built-in camera:
    1. Using Photo Booth. It's an application preinstalled with OS X where you can record videos.
    2. Using QuickTime Player. As db24401 said, open it and go to File menu > New Movie Recording.
    3. Use a third-party application. They include more features that you may want. I recommend Screenflow

  • Video recorded with external iSight has green dot in it.

Anybody have any idea why any video recorded by my external iSight has a green dot in it. Almost seems like the power light is somehow being reflected into the housing.

That's not very good news at all. If that's the problem I'm sure it has a lot to do with how hot it gets. I've even noticed it gets really warm and it hadn't been turned on in weeks. Just being plugged in made it hot.

  • Video recorded with iPhone 4, won't sync with iPad

I have the iPhone 4 and have recorded lots of video of my baby and I also have an ipad (boy was mommy mad at the purchase amounts . Anyway, I sync my iPhone with my macbookpro and see the videos and photos in iPhoto. I then create an event (with videos and photos made with iPhone 4)and then check the box under photos in iTunes to sync with my iPad.
I don't see my videos on the iPad with my photos. Is this a possible thing even? I am using 3 apple devices to share all photos and video to each and the photos appear on the iPad just not the videos made with the iPhone 4. Is the Photos App on the iPad capable of playing videos in itself?
Any suggestions would be fine. I'm sure I will have answers that will suggest that I have a wrong format for trasferring but I haven't changed anything about the quality or way the iPhone records. Thanks in advance!

Thanks red555, much appreciated. I guess going from an iPhone 3G, skipping the 3GS, I notice that the videos are clumped up with photos in that app on the 4g. I figured the iPad could do the same.
Just wished that I could go through the ipad's photo app just like I would on the phone. Built by the same company, claiming the name change of iPhone os to ios because they are all the same, but lacking common features.
What I want to know, in addition to the answer red555 gave me is, will the photo app in the iPad ever display the videos also or is there no plan of it due to apple restricting the photos app to hold only 16gigs. I believe people say it's due to indexing, but videos are just large files. Would hold less index if videos took up most of the space. I got an iPad for the screen size. Nice to hand off my iPad for grandma to see, rather than my phone, so she has to find her glasses to see videos
I like this way. Can anyone add more options since apple doesn't have tutorials for this but they have them for other useful procedures? Thanks for reading my post over.

  • QT Pro won't stop recording with USB drive plugged in

A strange thing started happening. I have been recording student presentation for about a year. I record with a videocamera and firewire using QT pro (7.5.5). I then copy those short files to a their USB thumbdrives. What just started happening is that when I try to stop the recording, the beachball keeps spinning and spinning and I have to Force Quit. The recording is okay and on my desktop, but every time I try to record again, it happens again. Sometimes it hangs up so bad I can't even bring up the force quit dialogue box, and I have to use the power button to shut down. After trashing prefs etc, repairing permissions, re-installing, checking disc (using an external startup disc), I can't stop the problem. I found that if I do not have the drive plugged in, all goes well. I can stop the recording, then put in the drive and copy the file, and then remove the drive and start my next recording. If I have to, I'll do that, but I'd like to go back to the way it was. I can't think of what I might have installed that messed things up. I got rid of a couple of things that I thought might have done it (macam, and wvm something or other) but no help.
I had problems when 7.6 was released and I upgraded, so I'd rather not do that again (QT would not open, everything crashed and burned - was able to copy files and do a clean install, but it was a nightmare).
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Rob

So unplug the USB drive, already. Record all to the hard drive and put them on the USB later.

  • Digital Video Camera with USB connection

If anyone can help me please let me know. I own a Sony Digital Video Camera that's 3 years old. It connects to my iMAC through a USB port. I can not figure out how to load my videos to iMovie. Is this camera too old? When I connect the USB port nothing happens; nothing appears on my desktop.

    George,
i'm not sure if you can download Image Capture from the Apple Website separately or if it comes as a total download of a specific version of OSX. If you have the original system discs that came with your computer, maybe that would have it, or worst case, an option to "Restore Software." Since you camera records to a DVD, you have another option: Do a Google search for MPEG Streamclip and download it (free). Basically, MPEG Streamclip will convert the files on the DVD back to DV files for editing in iMovie. I don't have any first-hand experience with a DVD camera, so you might also need to download Apple's MPEG-2 Playback Component ($20 from Apple's site) if the video on your DVDs is in MPEG-2 format. Come to think of it, I downloaded some MPEG movies from my digital still camera (it takes simple movies) using Image Capture and I still needed to use both MPEG Streamclip and the Apple Component to get it into iMovie, so maybe skip Image Capture and go for these two programs. I know it should be easier to do than this, but unfortunately getting video back off of a DVD is not what Apple wanted you to do. They setup their movie edit programs to accept DV files. The movies on a DVD are already highly compressed, so you actually need to reverse the process and get these compressed movies back to DV. Most PC computers allow, and even suggest, that you import MPEG movies for editing, but that is toally backwards. That explains why the PC discussion boards are filled with toally frustrated and confused people. Most PC computers still don't come with Firewire. They just don't get it.

  • 3000 n100 green video recording with Cyberlink PowerCinema

I have now installed Cyberlink PowerCinema ver 5 on my Lenovo 3000 N100.  With a USB TV tuner I get excellent TV receptions in high definition.  The problem is in recording TV.  The recorded TV when played back with PowerCinema or Windows Media Player is quite green.  It almost looks as if either red has been removed from the picture or has been replaced by green.  Cyberlink have given me numerous options to try,but nothing works!  The same system set up on a "non Lenovo" PC  wiorks perfectly.  It is clearly a problem with this configuration of Lenovo laptop, and I suspect the video card (NVidia GoForce Go 7300, with latest driver installed.  Can any one help?

    Duck3,
You may be right on this one too... this case seems a bit odd compared to the usual symptom mix when one of the batteries goes bad.  Thanks for jumping in - much appreciated as always!!!
    AriRichard,
    See my PM from today...

  • Video issues with USB port replicator with Digital Video

I have a T400 running Windows XP SP3 32-bit, with the graphics mode set to use the ATI video card. I'm also using the latest approved Lenovo ATI driver for this machine.
I have two issues, one of which I consider major:
    1) Sometimes when I plug in the replicator (got the latest drivers off of the Lenovo download site) everything works great, and other times the monitor never powers up. I plug the replicator into my laptop and the external keyboard and mouse work and the port replicator system tray icon appears, but the monitor is still in power-saving mode. If I try to activate the monitor by "extending" or "mirroring" it, it comes up with a pop-up that says:
"ThinkPad USB port rep. device: Error" - "Fail when adding device instance into driver!"
    2) This is more of an annoyance, but I noticed when the monitor does work that black areas of the screen end up getting sparkly green lines through them. They aren't "actually there" in the sense that it's not corruption from the computer, they are simply artifacts of what seems to be some signalling problem.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Your reply is 2 months later, I had to revert to Office 2010 and return the laptop to the end user.
But, I got another model of the same laptop right now which can be used to test it, I will let you know if it works out this time with the lates DisplayLink software for Windows.

  • Why my videos recorded with the camera are not saved in the video app? It is saved like a photo.

Like the title says, why when I record a video, it is saved like a photo and not like a video. I mean that if I go in video app, I can't see my video that I just recorded, I have to search in my photos, but this is a video. I don't understand.
    Thanks

Pictures and videos you take on the pad are saved in the camera roll. That's just where they go.  If you select it, it should show with a play button to play the video.
If you sync it back to your computer, edit it and change it, then save it as a video, it will sync back to the pad as a video.

  • Can do everything except record with USB card. Motherboard probl

Hi all. Here's a problem that I'm stumped on. I've looked through the previous entries and tried various things already. I'm using an older external SB soundcard (Audilogy MP3 #580270) and a newer computer (AMD Anthlon 64x2 dual core) that was sold with Vista, but I converted it back to XP-SP2. I've done the Autoupdate and gotten all the latest drivers from Creative's website. The automatic diagnostics in the app say everything's working fine. The device manager says it's fine. I can here audio coming in on the soundcard, I can play files from application. However, I CAN'T get it to record. It looks like it's recording, but nothing transfers. I've checked the all the audio levels and nothing is muted. What's the problem Here are some possibilities. What do you think . The card is just not compatiable with this motherboard. But why can I get the computer to output audio 2. There are other sound drivers that are interfering with this. I've reinstalled various ways. Again, it plays back just fine. How do I disable the other drivers ("audio Codecs") Any ideas Paul

I filed a bug at OSS and I received the message that USB recording through OSS is officially broken and will probably not get fixed in a long time.

  • Video Recording with iPod?

I am curious, can I use an iPod as a recording HD. I want to use a digital camera with AV to the iPod. How do you get video onto the iPod? Does anyone know if this will work?
    Thanks,

Have you ever heard about the iPod movieplayer?
    http://www.nyko.com/nyko/products/?i=36
It will use any iPod as an indipendent hard disk, infact it shows a AV input to record directly on the iPod.
Note that i am not making advertisement to Nyko....
