Videos, no matter type of player, Flash or otherwise, do not display in Version 12

No matter what the source, or the type of player a video plays in, since I installed FireFox v12.0, no videos show. The screen goes black, that's it. RealPlayer doesn't work, etc. Help please!

You have the Shockwave Flash 11.3 r300 beta version.
Try to uninstall that version and install the regular Firefox 11.2 version.

Screen briefly flashes white but does not display the page when the Safari icon or other icons are tapped.

A problem has just started with my IPAD Air after 3 months of use.
If I try to open Safari by tapping on the icon the screen briefly flashes white but does not display the page.
Similarly if I try to open Settings page, Mail page, Calendar or Clock the screen just briefly flashes but the Apps do not run.
Some of the Apps do work on tapping the icon e.g. Maps, iBooks, Appstore, iTunes, Newstand etc.
I do have some website links which display when the icon is tapped e.g. John Lewis but some links do not work.
I have ensured that the ipad is fully charged, powered it off an on again, and cleaned the screen with a lint free cloth but the
same problem keeps occurring.

I saume you used a second display at one time, otherwise the Display settings wouldn't be treating your primary display as a secondary.
IF you open your System Preferences>Displays (-System Preferences) and click "Gather Windows" it should pull everything to the display on which you clicked it.

Flash project from Romania not displaying on my UK PC

We have had a couple of pieces of work produced in Romania.
The companies in Romania have supplied web links for us to view the
projects - one a flipbook the other a website and all we get is a
blank screen with a grey square. I noticed that the encoding
defaulted to Cyrillic (Windows). Anyone know how we can solve this,
or has it got to be done their end?

Except text, there is nothing in flash that would be OS /
Language dependent.
Just like JPG, you should be able to see it everywhere.
My guess is that you guys have old player while the guy is
developing the
content with the latest version of flash. You might not be
compatible
player wise.

Websites with flash photo galleries do not display photos in firefox.

I manage several websites that use the 'expose' photo gallery. Expose uses flash to display photos in the photo galleries. When you go to one of these web sites and click on the photo gallery link, the photos are not displayed, the page shows the gallery buttons but no photos. Using Internet Explorer or Chrome browsers, the photo galleries work fine. Here are 3 web sites to view;
www.wishardgallery.com - click on photo gallery
www.applemanart.com - click on art gallery
www.jewelimages.com - click on any of the gallery links on the left menu
Do the same with IE or Chrome to see the photos displayed.

Some galleries are displayed via JavaScript, so if they aren't working the make sure that you aren't blocking JavaScript.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key). 
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Flash CS6 files do not display in folders insode Flash

I noticed this glitch in FLCS6 and also DW CS6, for instance, if i crop an image in Photshop and save to a folder, I open the folder and see the file inside. Now I open Flash CS6 and go to add the file ( which is a jpg ) to a Flash ,fla page. But when I open and navigate to the folder the file insode Flash it is not there. I can clearly see the file if I look at the folder outside of Flash
I have tried this a few times and have no idea why this is.
I'm in Lion 10.7 as mentioned running FlashCS6
any help as this is slowing me down.

Hi RD,
I hope you are using File>Import>Import to Stage... menu option to add your jpg file to Flash and not via File>Open. Also make sure that when you use File>Import>Import to Stage.., the Enable drop down in the Import dialog is set to 'All Formats' and is not set to import a specific format other than jpg.
If you are facing this issue not due to above said reasons, then can you please let me know the following
1. Is the jpg file you are trying t import placed locally in your machine or is shared in a network location?
2. Is drag drop works for the jpg?
3. Are you on a English OS/Application?

Download Flash Builder 4.7 (not creative cloud version)

Hi there, I have a licence for Flash Builder 4.7 Premium and have changed computers - where I have CS6 installed (and hence and unfortunately, Flash Builder 4.6). I can't find a download link any more to 4.7 - only the creative cloud version. Should I install that one? I do not want to go to creative cloud quite yet but rather install the stand alone Flash Builder 4.7. Thanks. So... looking for a link to Flash Builder 4.7 non creative cloud.

The thing about the government network that I'm on... Creative Cloud is not an option. Our environment doesn't allow for that and the one place that I found that at least used link to the direct downloads that Adobe used to offer... they're all shutdown now. It's causing me quite the point of frustration.

Flash Exposure Compensation Value Not Displaying in EXIF Info

When adjusting Flash Exposure Compensation on Nikon D4 camera (not on the Speedlight) the set value is not showing in EXIF Field in Aperture 3.4.1. It always shows as a 0 value regardless of camera setting. When I open the .nef in Nikon View NX (v2.2.4) the set value for Flash Exposure Compensation is accurately shown in the EXIF info. Have tried editing the Aperture EXIF fields (removing Flash Exp Comp and re-entering it) but, to no avail. Has anyone seen this, or know of a solution? Are any D800 users seeing the same thing?

Thanks the address you gave me gave me what I needed but still had alot of trouble with the game. Come to find out it was my browser IE8 that was causing all the problem. So I changed to google chrome and loaded the regular version of Flash player and have been able to get on the game. Now i have trouble with my plugins can you send me a link to find Adobe flash player plugin 9.0.124.0?

Hi,
I built a projector application for loading flash files on a
Windows CE 5.0 based embedded device. I am using Flash player 7 for
WinCE5.0. The projector was built using embedded VC++ for an ARM
processor.
The basic idea of this flash application is content delivery.
So, this projector loads a container flash file stored locally on
the device. This container flash file communicates with a remote
server(webserver or FMS) to retrieve content (flash files, audio,
video, images, text etc.). Right now, I am trying to load a series
of flash files from the remote server - one by one - like a series
of ads.
The problem is that, the series of flash files loaded does
not display properly inside the main container file. I am using a
loader component in the main container flash file. All the flash
files loaded must play full screen. But some files do not play
fullscreen. It automatically shrinks to a smaller random size. This
behaviour does not repeat. It occurs randomly for any of the series
of files I am trying to load in the container flash.
When i tested the application on the desktop, it works fine.
But on the device, the loaded flash files shrink automatically. Can
someone explain why this is happening? Is this problem usually
associated with flash player on embedded devices?
I am stuck with this problem for a long time. I tired
different methods to get around it, but could not succeed. So I
would really appreciate it, if anyone can throw some light on this
issue and preferably provide a solution?

It lets me edit all the symbols and bitmaps, and key frames.
However, it just publishes as a SWF a bit incorrectly.

I have an ActionScript only Flex project that was written by someone else.
I know it was compiled successfully for Air 2.0
I can compile this project using Flex Hero and with <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/2.6"> - however, my air file will install only on windows (on mac i get a weird 'installation file is corrupt, contact the author' error message).
So now I want to compile it for Air 2.0 as it was originally written for. So i change the used Flex SDK from Hero to 4.0 and change the target air version to <application xmlns="http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/2.0"> - but then i get three compilation errors:

but I read that these features were introduced with AIR 2.0 - so how can't I compile if I change the SDK from Flex Hero to Flex 4.0?

Figured it out... Make sure your descriptor file has the following namespace definition!!
"http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/2.0beta"

Flash not displaying correctly for only one web site

In the last 3 or 4 days I seem to have problems with the flash content of one single web site not displaying correctly from my laptop. I have the same problem from both IE (version7.0.5730.11) and from FF (3.5.8). The site works fine from my desktop system so it's not the site specifically. The site (www.transparent.com/wotd/today/spanish.htm) has an embeded flash segment that does not display correctly and thus I can't click on two of the embedded buttons. It also does not display the background pattern for the flash. I'm running flash 10.0.45.2 based upon right clicking from within the embedded flash which takes me to the Adobe page with my version info. The Adobe page seems to display fine.
As far as I know I'm not having problems with another instance of flash - only this site.
Any thoughts on how to diagnose the problem? I've not added any new programs since this website stopped working but do have some background "tune up" programs that run. I'm assuming some settings are out of wack but don't know where to start looking. Any help folks woulc provide would be appreicated.

Well, that is hard to tell. Like I said the website may have updated their technology. Just because it works with the Desktop, doesn't mean there is not a reason that the laptop might not have a problem. You have 2 different systems and
most likely different configurations.
You may want to check Tools and in the add ons for both, look for Shockwave Flash Object...ActiveX Control..Flash10e.ocx should be installed and enabled.
Also for each check C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash Right click the Flash folder and make sure for IE that the files are vs 10.0.45.2 by checking the properties.
If you have the correct Flash files and the correct SWO then, some other cause would be looked at.
It has been my experience to not "assume", but verify:-)
