View private Calender on a Mac/PC

Hey folks,
I bought a BBQ10 some week ago and am now very disappointed by having a black screen for no obvious reason (didn't drop or such). I tried several thing already, but no way of getting it work without touching the hardware, which is no option for me since the  warranty will then expire.
Unfortunatly I didn't get to synch my caleder with my MAC yet so I am now not able to see my calender events which I need for work.
Is there a way (an app or so) to see my BBcalender on a MAC oder a PC (As with iPhone calender and ical)?
It would help a lot and save me a lot of time and prevent me from some unconfortable situations if someone knew a way of doing so.
Thanks a lot
Thomas

  • Switch all calendar entries from "private" calender to "normal/standard" ca

    Hi guys,
is it possible to switch all calendar entries from "private" calender to "normal/standard" calendar in one step without moving entry and entry for itself to the other calendar?
    Maybe in MobileMe?
    Thx!

    OK,
I found out what was wrong myself.
In the end it turned out that it had nothing to do with the iOS5 upgrade itself.
In case somebody else stumbles accross this very same problem, here's what was going on:
    - Within the latest lotus notes client (on PC) the user has the possibility to display (read-only) external calendar contents (e.g. google's calendar).
    - When setting this up you need to supply your external calendar's login/password information and next to that
    - also have the possibility to select "View this calendar when offline or on a mobile device"
It was this setting (which I probably accidentally enabled) causing the "issue". Deselecting this option made my duplicate entries disappear on my phone.

  • How can I enter private calender entrys for synchronisation with my business outlook?

When i view my calender on iPhone I don't see "private" marked entrys as in my outlook. Additionally I cannot create new entrys with private code, so everybody in my company can view my private dates. Does anybody have a solution for this? Thanks a lot.

    could anybody help this guy?
I'm a hardcore Blackberry user. Started now to work with the iPad and thinking about to change from Blackberry to iPhone.
iPhone seems to be a nice toy but I'm missing business functions like mark dates with "private" button.
Any idea ho to handle this issue?

Why do i not have permission to view a file on my mac?

Back up all data. Quit Preview if it's running.
Hold down the option key and select Go ▹ Library from the Finder menu bar. From the Library folder, delete the following items, if they exist:
    Caches/com.apple.Preview
    Containers/com.apple.Preview
    Preferences/com.apple.Preview.LSSharedFileList.plist
    Preferences/com.apple.Preview.SandboxedPersistentURLs.LSSharedFileList.plist
    Saved Application State/com.apple.Preview.savedState
    Launch the application and test.

  • I'm using the note taking view of Word 2011 for Mac so I can record a meeting as well as take notes. The audio of the internal microphone is so low - can I attach an external mic and have it work with note taking view?

Can I attach an external mic to my Macbook Air to enhance sound input for the note taking view of Word 2011 for Mac? I've tried preferences to up the volume of my sound, but I still cannot hear the recording. Any suggestions? I need to record a meeting as well as take notes so I'd like to use this tool, but the audio is not good enough.

A USB microphone can work with the Air, and I've used them before with my 11" Air.  Griffin also made a product (the iMic) that will add a standard computer microphone port, connecting to your USB port.  It's heyday was the time of the old iBook laptops (which also lacked a microphone in jack) but I think it's still around.
The single sound port on the 2011 models, as I recall, supports iPhone style headphone/microphone but I don't believe it will support a standard microphone input.
The built in microphone sits on the left side of the computer and I suspect wouldn't work well for picking up a lecture unless you were sitting just right in position vs. the speaker (preferably having the speaker positioned to the left and sitting really close).  By design most laptop microphones presume they are going to be mainly used to record a sound coming from the person sitting at the keyboard, while for a lecture you normally would prefer it concentrate on sound coming from behind the screen.

  • Unable to view recent photos on my Mac in PSE 11 organizer

unable to view recent photos on my Mac in PSE 11 organizer ..I see them in Iphoto not organizer..Please help

On import, iPhoto copies photos into its library, which is proprietary to itself and should never be poked and prodded from outside iphoto or you run a strong risk of corrupting the library and losing your photos. So you eventually need to choose between iphoto and organizer.
If you want to use iphoto, then you have two choices:
    1. Set PSE as your external editor and send the photos from iphoto to PSE, edit them, then save without changing the name or format (you may need to adjust the pse preferences>saving files>on first save), and iphoto will remember your last edits and the orginal. However, you must to lose the edited version to use the original again, and this method doesn't work well with raw files.
    2. Export the photos from iphoto to the desktop, user File>Open in the editor,  edit the photos, make all the changes to name and format that you like, save the photos and import them back to iphoto as new files.
Or if you decide you prefer organizer, set the this iphoto preference to No Application and you can call up the photo downloader from within organizer, or just drag the photo with the images in it from the card to wherever you want to keept them:
and of course you don't need to user either iphoto or organizer unless you want.

    Hi shldr2thewheel,
it has been a while since we have last spoke, I would like to let you know, I am still working on getting used to the switch from windows to a Mac/Apple system. I do have a new question for you, I did purchase In Design CS5.5 through journeyed.com through Cuyahoga Community College of which I attend as a student, is there a way to purchase an online book through iTunes to learn that as well? Also, you know me, the struggling student, I would also, when and if the book can be purchased through the iTunes, would need to know if you do know of a much easier book for struggling students like myself and at a reasonable price as well for the In Design CS5.5 program. Our campus bookstore had closed early, and, so did the colleges library and our local library here where I do live, so, I cannot go to either place to purchase a book or to take out a book, plus cash funds are low at this moment as well but, I do have money left on the iTunes account to use, if it can be used. So, can it be used, the iTunes money, towards finding a low priced online book? I am in great need of assistance as I have a project due for my one course for this Tuesday, September 4, 2012.
Sincerely in need of help once again,
    Kim

  • Is it possible to view .bbb files in a mac? how? I am transferring my bberry contacts onto my macbook pro, but cannot open the .bbb files...

Is it possible to view .bbb files in a mac? how? I am transferring my bberry contacts onto my macbook pro, but cannot open the .bbb files...

Well, if simply double-clicking the .bbb file doesn't work, first try dragging the file onto the BBDM icon (either in the Dock, on the desktop or in the Applications folder or wherever it's stored). That tells Finder to open it with that application.
Otherwise, right-click on the file and choose the Open With option. If BBDM is not the default, select Get Info and use the Open with box from there to select it (if it's not in the list, choose 'other' and navigate to it), then click the 'change all' button.

  • Viewing Microsoft webcasts on a Mac?

Is it possible to view Microsoft webcasts on a Mac? Seems I can't find a compatible browser/media player.
    Thanks

    clastars,
OK, I see it. Although the Windows Media content should play just fine under Flip4Mac, the site rejects non-Microsoft browsers on non-Microsoft OSes - there's a javascript error that Safari won't eat. On top of that, the feedback button points to a black box.
    Alternatives:
Open pages of interest in a Windows machine, show source, find the media
content URLs and copy them into a text file. Transfer the text file to your Mac,
then paste the URLs into Quicktime on your Mac for your viewing pleasure.
(This assumes you have Flip4Mac installed.)
Or you could buy Parallels and Windows XP, create an XP virtual machine on
your computer, install firewall, antivirus, antispyware and use Internet
Explorer from the Windows VM to view the pages. (Note: This has the side
effect of letting you develop and test Windows code on your Mac.)
Or you could just view the pages in a Windows machine without jumping
through the hoops to let you view them on your Mac.
As always, Your Mileage May Vary.

  • How to get two week view of calender?

When we click on week view of calender, it displays calender in week view.it shows only 1 week , i want to show two weeks view. can't use MSSQL database.
    please help,

This won't be available out of the box. One thing I can think of is to have a page with two calendar views and then run some JavaScript/jQuery on it to automatically go to the next week.
