Viewing created reports in SWT

Hi all,
I work on a small project with SWT where I have a form with some data. So when click on a button on this form, I want to get a print preview in other form.
1. I already created a report using empty CR, and it is working. It is added to my SWT project, but how can I embed it into a SWT form? Or is there any other way to create something like a print preview?
2. I have one parameter which should be given over to the report. (It is an ID from a table in my database to which CR report is connected.) This parameter is stored in a variable in my code, and according to this value, the result in the report will be shown.
So please if you could help me with this.
Thanks!

Hi Malco,
You can embed the Crystal Report Viewer in a frame and include that frame in your form. You can use JRC SDK to open the crystal report, supply report parameters and DB information in the code and then view it using the Crystal Report Viewer object. Here is a link to some JRC samples. The 2nd sample viewing report with JRC may be more useful.
https://boc.sdn.sap.com/samples/86/1191
Also look at the Developer Library for JRC SDK which contains more tutorials and API reference information.

I hope this helps.

I want to create a mobile application with MDK for viewing BW reports. It is possible ?

    Hello,
I have a similar kind of requirement here.
I need to show BW data on wireless device...via Portal.
This BW data is a query, which is created using WAD.
In normal case, we just use the SAP BW Report iView, stick the Bex query in it and its all done. But in this case....how am to go about this...?
Ive read about Mobile WebDynpro but want to know that....Mobile Web Dynpro is an oline approach, does it mean that user will be able to drill down from the Bex query??
    Awaiting Reply.

  • How to see views created on query in a report.

    Hi
Could you please help me out urgently?
I have a question regarding how to see views created on query in a report.
Is there any table or query through which we can see views created on Query?
    Thanks & Regards
    Neha

    Hi,
If you created a view on any query,
    What is view ?
once you execute the query and save the output as view right ?
But we can not see the view in query output.
Insted of executing the query, directly we can execute the view which you have saved as query output.
Open the BEX and search for the view insted of query then it will give you the out put directly.
I hope it will help you.

  • How to create Reports out of Individual Views from Discoverer

    Hi Gurus,
I am doing a a POC where i need to bring in couple of views which are reports in Discoverer inside OBIEE 11g and create reports out of it.
In OBIEE i dont need to join anything as these are standalone views i just need to use them to create individual reports. But it seems in OBIEE you cannot do that, you will need to join and create keys in each and every tables(which are views in the DB).
Is there any way i can import the views from DB or create the views in OBIEE 11g and use them to create reports.
    Thanks,
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
Yes you can create opaque views in OBIEE 11G at repository level and deploy them.
    Check this

  • Not able to view any report in BI Publisher 11g

    Hello All
I have installed BI Publisher 11g in Intel Solaris 10. I started of from the scratch, created a Data Model, then created a Report. but now I am not able to view the report. Upon clicking the report name or Open it logs me out.
I am logged in as user, weblogic the default user created while installation.
    Please help
    Ash

    Hi Rony,
You may have created the report initially with Web Layout only - therefore there will no paper layout.
To 'get' the paper layout back, select your Report module name from the Builder and then select Tools-->Report Wizard. Select 'Create both web and Paper Layout' and then go through the various wizard steps.
    Best of Luck.

  • Problems after creating report object

I am using Crystal Reports Server XI R2 SP4. I created a report object from a simple Crystal report successfully. Even the thumbnail showed the report data even though the report does not save data.
However when I view the report object in InfoView or schedule it there is no report data even though Crystal Reports Viewer displays data when run against the same DB with the same parameters.
I get the same results with any report object I create in CMC but I was to able to successfully create and run report objects the first few(5) times after which I have been getting this result.
Is there any kind of report or job limit?
I made max records to retrieve unlimited and bumped # of jobs in every server from 5 to 50 and the age of oldest report to retrieve from cache to 0 mins.
    Please help!

I'm not sure this is a JAVA problem, but if you're getting an ACCESS_VIOLATION exception from the JVM a method that provides more detailed information is to check for exceptions after every JAVA function called from the native code with (*jenv)->ExceptionCheck(jenv) and if true get information with (*jenv)->ExceptionDescribe(jenv) Making mistakes in native code constructing JAVA objects has been my most frequent cause of ACCESS_VIOLATION exceptions. I hope this helps.

  • View Crystal Report Layout for my UDO Form

    Hi all,
I try to view a report created for my UDO form. I set all settings in Administration -> Setup -> General -> Report and Layout Manager. Hi Kishore,
I have tested the issue step by step by following you description, while the first issue works well in my local environment. Based on my research, this can be caused by the lookup expression or it indeed return Male value based on the logic. If you use the
expression below, it will indeed only return the Male record. So please try to double-check the record in the two datasets and the expression in your environment:
    =lookup(first(Fields!ProgramID.Value,"DataSet1"),Fields!ProgramID.Value,Fields!Gender.Value,"DataSet2")
As to the second issue, please try to use the following expression:
    =Count(Lookup(fields!ProgramID.value,fields!ProgramID.value,fields!Gender.value,"DataSet2"))
Besides, if this issue still exist, in order to trouble shoot this issue more efficiently, could you please post both the .rdl  file with all the size properties to us by the following E-mail address?  It is benefit for us to do further analysis.

    CA Forum: Desktop Intelligence Reporting
Hi there,I'm using Crystal Reports Server XI (evaluation version)in InfoView, I browsed to the folder that contains my Crystal Reports. Now I expect to click on the reportname and be able to pass parameters and view the reports. (as demonstrated here: http://www.businessobjects.com/global/flash/products/reporting/crxi_reportviewing.asp )Unfortunately, this does not work. When the report wasn't executed in the past, I'm not able to click on the reportname. When there are old instances of the reports (created via scheduling), InfoView just shows me the newest version when I click on the name.Isn't it possible to view the report ad hoc? • [Forum FAQ] Troubleshooting "An error has occurred during report processing" message when viewing SCCM reports

    Symptom:
When you view a report with SCCM, you may encounter the following error message:
An error has occurred during report processing.
Under the details box, you can see the detailed error information as below:
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended
execution account. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ServerConfigurationErrorException: The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended execution account. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.LogonFailedException:

at Microsoft.ReportingServices.WebServer.ReportingService2005.GetReportParameters(String Report, String HistoryID, Boolean ForRendering, ParameterValue[] Values, DataSourceCredentials[] Credentials, ReportParameter[]& Parameters)
Figure 1 is the screenshot of the error message in SCCM:
    Figure 1.
    Cause:
According to the detailed error message, it indicates that “The report server has encountered a configuration error. Logon failed for the unattended execution account.”
and “The user name or password is incorrect”, so this issue would be caused by the mismatched credential stored in report server.
    Solution:
To solve this issue, you can follow the steps below:
      1.
Access Report Manager URL on your reporting server.
From figure 2, you can see that the URL for Report Manager is
    http://SCCM:80/Reports
in our lab environment. You can check your Report Manager URL in Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
    Figure 2.

    3. Test connection (Figure 4)
You can have a test connection to check whether the credentials stored in the report server are correct or not.
    Figure 4.
    4.
Modify the password or choose another authentication method
If you want to change the password, please make sure that password is the same as the one that you have set for that user account in the domain.
    5. Confirm connection
After you change the password, you can test connection again. From figure 5, we can see that connection created successfully.
    Figure 5.
After all the steps above, there is no error message when viewing the report. (Figure 6)
