Viewing Transport Log Errors in ECC

Dear SRM Experts,
System Info : ECC 6.0. and SRM 5.0
We moved transports from Dev to QA and some of the transports failed with  Return codes of 8 and 12.
Where do we look up the transport errors that occured.
Points will be rewarded for answers.
Thanks in advance,
Bobby.

Yann,
Thank you very much for your reply.
I went to SE10 and selected my released order and
clicked on the transport logs and drilled down. But I am not able to find the RC=8 and
RC=12 errors. The outer level for all the lines has a status of successfully completed(0).
Please let me know if I am missing any steps.
Thanks again,
Bobby.

    Hi All,
Kindly help me by giving me the path of where is the Import, Export and Transport Log maintained in SAP Portal.
And is it posible to view the Log of other systems from DEV system? If yes then how.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
Please navigate to usr/sap/trans/CMS/log to view logs.
Alternatively in the CMS, you can click on "Go to History" which will display all previous transports. You can see the details from there.
    Thanks

  • Error about the dll crdb_dao.dll - In Event Viewer - Application log

We have classic ASP application and we are using Crystal XI for reports viewing and printing. We are keep getting the following error logged in the event view application log.
Faulting application dllhost.exe, version 5.2.3790.3959, faulting module crdb_dao.dll, version 11.0.0.1282, fault address 0x0001b130.
What is Causing this error. When this happens, the components stops responding and we have re-start the server.

    Hi ABC,
CR XI is past it's patch life cycle so all I can suggest is you download the last Service Pack and test again. If it still happens then you can update to XI R2 and try again.
You can get to downloads from here: http://service.sap.com/sap/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm
And to upgrade go to this link: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc and download the trial version of CR XI R2 and use your XI keycode, then apply the patches which you can get to by clicking on the BusinessObjects tab above, then Downloads.
Direct link to the Trial version: http://www.sap.com/solutions/sapbusinessobjects/sme/freetrials/index.epx
    Thank you

  • Materialized View Log Error

I keep getting a materialized view log error on a table that is not a master table, in fact there are no materialized views created on any tables in this database. The schema was imported from another but the export schema did not have any materialized views either from what I can see.
Is there a data dictionary or something I can check?
This is the error: ORA-12096: error in materialized view log on "Schema"."Table".
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
I get this error anytime I try to update or insert.
Apparently it thinks it should be associated to a materialized view log, how can I disassociate it?
    Thanks

Hey Justin, thanks for your reply. I did not use the real table names but the original error message did.
There was a log when I queried the view. I dont know why there was one. We never created any materialized views in or from this database.
I dropped the log. It took it out of the data dictionary so everything works again.
    Thanks for your reply.

  • How to view logical port error log

can anybody tell me how to view the logicalport error  log

Usually in a distributed environment you would point the logical addresses to the http web server and port or to the load balancer, if you are just using a web server like OHS you can set all the logical addresses by running configure web server and select "Set the logical web address for the web applications to the web server"
If you want to see all the configuration in the Shared services registry then you can run <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>\user_projects\epmsystem1\bin\epmsys_registry.bat to generate a report and the web app configurations will be under LOGICAL_WEB_APP

  • Problem with display of transport logs

    Hello,
The transport logs on one of our systems are not displayed from the SAP level. The logs are available in the trans directory with the logged information. Logs for other transport requests on the same day from the same user are displayed but certian logs are not displayed.
I go into import history of a certian system and click on the display log button. In the log overview screen ntothing is displayed.
any suggestions wud be appreciated !
    regards.

Date of the log is 12/06/09 - there were many imports on this day and logs for all are available. We are unable to view the logs for around 10 imports. There is no such error message, once u highlight the change request in import history and click on "logs", the next screen has text "log display for <CR number>" and below this nithing is shown. The logs at OS level are readable using the unix "view" command.

  • SQL Exceptions, transport-level errors on SharePoint 2010 App Server

SharePoint 2010 becomes inaccessible 2-3 times per day. It happens at approximately the same times: 8 PM, 1 AM and 1 PM. It is inaccessible for about 3-4 minutes and then comes back on its own.
During the time it is down, we see the following errors in the event viewer on the application server:
EventID: 5586 Task Category: Database -
Unknown SQL Exception 64 occurred. Additional error information from SQL Server is included below.A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server.
(provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The specified network name is no longer available.)
EventID: 3 Task Category: None -
.Net SqlClient Data Provider: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error:
0 - The specified network name is no longer available.)
EventID: 6398 Task Category: Timer -
The Execute method of job definition Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Monitoring.HealthStatUpdateJobDefinition (ID f9db48f1-f115-47ab-99b6-552460cbb782) threw an exception. More
information is included below. A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The specified network name is no longer available.)
EventID: 8086 Task Category: Business Data -
The BDC Service application failed due to a SQL Exception: SQLServer host ums1spd1v. The error returned was: 'A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to
the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)'
The SharePoint logs have errors during the same time period saying the same kinds of things: Sql exception raw message: A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server,
The specified network name is no longer available, etc.
Our network administrator has looked at the issue and cannot find any network problems.
He setup a continuous ping from the app server to the database server.
Even during the times these errors are occurring, the app server is still able to reach the database server.
However, you cannot ping the app server itself during this time.
Our database administer cannot find any SQL Server issues.
There are no errors in the event viewer or the SQL logs on the database server.
In Central Admin, we can see that one or two jobs fail with SQL errors during the times these errors take place.
It is almost always the “User Profile Service Application – User Profile Language Synchronization Job” and often the “Health Statistics Updating” or “Crawl Log Report for Search Application Search Service Application”.
These jobs run successfully at many other times during the day.
Is there a good way to tell if the database, network or SharePoint itself is the root of these problems?
The database and network guys say there are no problems in their areas, but all I can find in the SharePoint logs is that it can’t reach the database server.
Thank you for any suggestions you may have!

Since these seem to happen at very specific times, I would run a NetMon trace at that window to capture what is going back and forth (or perhaps the timer service is just unable to reach the SQL server).

    Regards,
    Adarsh

    Hi Mike,
    Thanks for your response.
What roles are assigned to the user that is triggering these error messages?
This is our new development server and we have migrated stuff from 11.5 to 12.1 and there are only 8 users on this system and all of them are super admins but of those I am the only one using the system currently and I am not sure it is being generated by any of our 8 users because the interesting point is this error generates on every 49th minute of hour (for eg, 10:49, 11:49, 12:49 and so on) and along with I see two more errors "SR Log error" occurring on same time.
These are the only three errors I see repeating every hour and no other errors.
What version of the JRE is running on the machine accessing MII?
On client machines we have JRE 1.5 update 22 and on server we have JRE 1.5 update 21
What process is being performed at the time of the error messages?
No background jobs are scheduled and even if I don't run any programs still I can see this error on every hour
    Regards,
    Adarsh

  • Selection Screen seems not to be transported, all transport log OK

    hi,
our ABAP build own Z-program in SDV. After that, they transport the program to QA client using STMS and also to Production Client using the same method. All the transport log is error-free.
The problem occurs in PRD, when all selection screen declared on SE38 didn't appear when program is executed. But, when this program is executed in DEV client or QA client, all selection screen appear
    correctly as declared in SE38.
In some case, all selection screen is appears correctly if the program is run on some of our application server, but didn't appear on the other application server.
is there something we missed ? or there is a problem in our STMS, or SE38 ?
    thank you

I guess if the latest request is in the PRD, it takes along with it the changes related to all previous requests.
If the object is in Request R1 and R1 is released but not transported.
Now the object is again edited and saved in R2.
R2 is transported. The changes done in R1 although its not sent to PRD, will come in the request R2.
But just check if all the previous versions are in PRD.
There could be a unrectified problem sometimes which may appear.
If you are sure all is fine, just create a Transport of Copies of the request and retransport it.
Also dont forget to check the syntax and consistency of the request.
It had happened with me that I had transoported the request with inactive object to PRD and I was in big trouble
    good luck

This usually means that you call the JSF page the wrong way. Try something like http://hostname:port/servletcontextroot/faces/page.jspx
    --olaf
