Vikas Application page view

Hi ,
Anyone know the access details for 'guest' for VIKASA workspace.I had this several months ago but right now i can see the application on :
http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=24317
But the guest/guest is not working . I need to view the page design as well.
Could anyone help on this.

Vikas' workspace in no longer open to the public. The following is the home page for his demo application. You can download the entire application and import it into your own instance. Then you'll be able to check and inspect whatever you need - http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=24317:500 .

Hi Amit,
SharePoint has a feature called “ViewFormPagesLockDown” at site collection scope. After enabling the feature, all groups / users not having the “View Application Pages” permission will not be able to navigate to pages like “_layouts/viewlsts.aspx”
or “pages/forms/allitems.aspx”.
So, for your issue, please disable the ViewFormPagesLockDown feature via PowerShell command:
$lockdownFeature = get-spfeature viewformpageslockdown
disable-spfeature $lockdownFeature -url [the URL of your site]

Blank user displayed in the "Page Views Per user"

Hi everybody,
When I display my Application "Page Views By user" statistic bars digram (by going through
Home>HTML DB Workspace Administration>Monitor Activity>Page Views by User), I have a blank username that is displayed with a certain number of page views. Does anybody know what this comes from?

Note that the underlying logs are purged on a regular basis, so for the long term you need to copy the data to your own tables, as Martin handily suggests here.

Windows authentication of Sharepoint Page viewer Web Part applications

I am working on a new Sharepoint portal which will have Page viewer Web Parts hosting asp.net applications. The standalone applications those are hosted are using windows authentication. my requirment is, when the client logs in to sharepoint need to authenticate
all web parts with same user credentials so that then don't need to log in again. those asp.net applications are hosted as standalone also out side sharepoint. Can some one advise me how to do that?..

We havent tried that. We changed the link in the web part to access an html page that claims that the report is loading. It states in the html that if the page doesnt load to "click here" which redirects to the crystalreportviewer. Its a temp fix for it. One thing we are looking at is the 64 bit version of the Sharepoint integration kit. That may contain a reportviewer webpart.

Why do applications always open the last document or page viewed?

I love my Mac. But since I got my new iMac and OS Lion, I've had a hard time with one option and I can't figure out how to turn it off.
When I open Excel, it opens the last document viewed. Even when I click on a new document, it still opens the last document. When I open Safari, it takes me to the last page viewed. Its very annoying, probably useful to someone other then me. How do I turn this feature off?

That is part of Resume, a feature that re-opens the documents that were open when you quit.
You can turn it off system-wide in the General System Preferences.
On a per-app basis, you can only use the cmd-option-q shortcut or menu to close all windows and quit.

Ben (support) - no that's not a time out concurrent connections are a little different then sessions and or connections. Lets say for an example you have 5 images on your site and 5 7 users come to your site this is not 7 concurrent connections but 35. They
do close after awhile hence why the 503 error comes and goes. You can have these connections close sooner using code but this is something you have to research using your favorite search engine

Analysis :
The link provided tells us : All Plesk accounts are limited to 200 simultaneous visitors.
From what Ben (support) says and a little extra research, if those aren't visitors but connections then it's quite easy to max out, especially if the connections aren't closed when finished using. I'd suggest forwarding this to Kasem to see what he thinks.

Number of Page View is showing zero for Site web Analytics Reports

Hi,
We have enabled Site Web Analytics reports in our Site Collection but the Number of Page views is showing zero for all the dates. We have checked all the events to capture in Site Collection Audit settings, Reporting feature is also activated but still the
count shows 0 for all the dates.
There are other Site Collection that exists under that Web Application but they show the count for Number of Page views in Site.
Any help would be appreciated.

Webdynpro Application Page in portal in CE7.1

I have created a webdynpro application with property u201Csap.canBeSplitInIviewsu201D set to u201Ctrueu201D.I have deployed the application and in Portal Content I have created a webdynpro page out of this application.So now my webdynpro page is having two iviews.
Now I want to know the answers for below questions
1)Can we embed a url iview it in to the above created Webdynpro Application page in portal.I tried for it but couldnu2019t do so.
2)So,as an alternative I created a Page,added the above created Webdynpro Application page and a url iview to that page.Now that url iview is displayed along with the Webdynpro iview.Bot the problem is url iview is getting refreshed when ever I click a button in the webdynbpro application view .It even refreshes when I select a table row in webdynpro.
Please let me know if we can prevent url iview to refresh.

No, I don't think so.

For the parent page which hosts both the WD and the URL iview, set the property Isolation Method to URL. You can find this property under the property category Load.

Acrobat X: Option to hide the dotted line in between pages when viewing in 2 page view?

Acrobat X: Anyone know if there is an option to hide the dotted line in between pages when viewing in 2 page view? So that the 2 pages can look seemlessly joined, with no gap and no dotted line? This would be useful when viewing PDF magazines or books in which 2 pages join for a larger picture.

Create a Page 0 item which will be available on all pages.OMG yes I can use items in page 0 ! I should have think of that :/ Shame on me.
Application item values can be set from JavaScript using AJAX and an On-Demand Process.Yes I already tried ajax with ODP, my getappitem() function works but my setappitem() function won't assign value to application item, but it's not a problem now, I removed the ajax part and I will use page items :D

How to change value of user variable with change in Page View Dropdown

I have a classic planning application, on one of my dataform i put members of Dim_A in Page view and on row view i filter members of Dim_B on the basis of User variable i.e row contains the @Childern(&My_User_Variable). I have following members in both Dimensions:

Now is there any way through which the value of My_User_Variable changes automatically when user select a member of Dim_A in Page View drop down, so that when user press go button then my rows would also be re filtered according to new value of User Variable.
Right now user first make change in User Variable then select its matching member from Dim_A and then rows are filtered, so i want my user to only make selection in Drop down and press go rest all would be done automatically.

HELP - Combining files with different page views

Hi - I am trying to combine pdf files - some are to be viewed 2-up and others to be viewed as single page. I have not found a way to do this. Even if I save each individual file with its own page view - when I combine them I have to define the new file with a page view so it alters the individual files. Has anyone found a way to manage this problem and have each file retain its individual identity? I would rather not save them as a package but rather as merging files into one pdf file. I can only imagine there should be a way around this. Any ideas???? Thanks, Robin

Embedded .htm loses functionality in Page Viewer Web Part

Hello,
I have a .htm file with the entire web content folder, generated by another application, stored in a Document Library on my SharePoint site. This web page contains 3 zones (html framesets with frames): The first one containing a tree-view where the user
can select a specific "model" to view, the second one is the main part where the "model" with all it's "objects" is displayed and the third one which displays the selected "model's" or "model object's"
properties.
The problem is that when I use the Page Viewer Web Part to embed this web page into a SharePoint page, clicking an "object" into the second zone, does not display it's properties into the third one. Though, selecting a "model" from the
tree-view, displays the model into the second zone amd it's properties into the third as it normally should.
Can anybody, please, help me solving this issue?

If you are login with your credentials it doesn't matter either it is admin machin or a any other machine.
Check If it is problem with only your system it could be some browser issue .Try in other browser in your system and let us know your result.

Keep Zoom XY position from page view to page view

I frequently print color separations to PDF, and I often need to check small details that change from page to page, such as traps at color breaks, in a highly zoomed view. Currently, If I change the page viewed in Acrobat or Reader, with the view zoomed to a portion of the page, Acrobat and Reader always reset the coordinates of the view to the origin, meaning that I'm usually looking at the wrong portion of the page.
My workaround right now is to crop the document to a tiny size, around an area of interest. This is not a good solution when there are several spots to check.
I'd like the option to have Acrobat (and Reader if possible) maintain the coordinates of the current page view, should I change to another page. It seems like something that would be easy to implement. If page sizes vary in a document (not my situation, but likely to happen), and the current view is partially or completely off the new page viewed, then obviously something different needs to happen. Not sure what would be most useful.
Perhaps this would be an "advanced" setting.
