Visual Composer 7.0: system (data source) does not appear

Hi...
There is a problem: system (data source) does not appear in Visual Composer 7.0
1. There is a connector MDM. It is made by PCD. It has been tested. The test is ok.
2. However, as the data source in Visual Composer a connector MDM does not appear.
3. This problem affects all types of connectors, but the Web Service Connector. Connector Web Service is always there.
What the .....?
P.S. The role of the creator of the connector is the same user of Visual Composer

Hi I created a new data source using information provided in http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/apis/pdstutorial/textPDS/PDS_1.html. But the new data source I created does not appear in the wizard. Could some body give me a clue? Can somebody point me to more detailed documentation on how to integrate a new data source into Reports Builder?

I desperately need help to troubleshoot why my data source is not appearing in the list eventhough I feel I have done things as per the tutorial. From reading the tutotial I am not clear -
- If specifying an icon is mandatory. If I don't specify an icon my datasource should still appear right?..without an icon?
- It is mandatory to implement the editor. I have hard coded things because I don't foresee any interaction by a user with the data source. There is just one column which WILL always appear if this DS is chosen.
- Finally in the integration instructions(http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/apis/pdstutorial/textPDS/PDS_5.html) they mention that the classes have to be compiled with "report build" , is that a tool?

am extracting the data from Vistex datasource,IRM/LIS_RM_IPCRASP IP CR Agreement Conditions
after activating in RSA5 i can able to see in RSA6
but while activating the data source after the extract structure has successfully generated,
the system showing data source does not exist
plz help me

when i click the maintain button save button will appear,
but in my case this save button not highlighting...
when i check in ST22 the system proposed error mesage is table illegal statement,
i found this error in many forums but its not related to datasource actvation,
plz anyone giv me solution as soon as possible...

Target data source does not support the AGO operation

In BI Admin Tool, I join Essbase cube and relational source. Then I apply Ago function to Essbase measures. In BI Answer, I try to run query that includes Essbase Ago measures and relational columns(non measures), error message shows the following detail:
Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 22001] Target data source does not support the AGO operation. (HY000)
When I remove the relational columns or run Essbase current-date messures, the result is fine.
So, what's exact meaning of this error message? and does the relational columns (non-measure) support Essbase measures' Ago function?

Import Data Option Does not appear in navigation

I need to test the import capabilities as a Developer, but I do not see the options that are referenced in the help.
I installed NAV Dynamics 2013 R2 Developer Version on a development computer with "SQL Server 2014 - Developer" installed. I copied a demo company. The option "Import from Data File" does not appear under Departments/ Administration/
IT Administration/ General. Many other options are also missing.
I reviewed the security setting for the Domain User and enabled the db_owner and db_AccessAdmin for the user. It was installed with the same administrative user account and the user has SysAdmin rights.
I assume that this is some sort of security/authentication issue, but I also saw references that certain things are disabled in the demo. I can perform most basic functions, but many administrative functions are not visible.
How can I enable \the import capabilities?

HI,
I think you are trying to load data into and cube but that cube is not showing the info package level so you are unable to select the data target. It may be because your cubes real time behaviors is set in planning mode you need to change the real time behavior into data loading mode then you can see this cube in your info package.

File Data Source: does not support any other host except LOCALHOST?

I am using US 1.0.3.
This exercpt is from the OTN iLearn Subscribed course titled "Oracle9i UltraSearch New Features" on operating system file access:
"The file protocol is used only for the machine that launches the crawler. You can not specify any other host for this kind of URL, except LOCALHOST."
Does it mean that US 1.0.3 can not be used to search other file servers on the network? For example, we have US 1.0.3 installed on a server S1 which is on a network with other servers (e.g. S2). I want to use US to search files in the folder myDir on server S2. So I tried to create a file data source with this URL:
file://\\s2\myDir\
But I got this error:
Invalid file protocol URL: file//\\s2\myDir\
Hostname of the file URL "file://\\s2\myDir\ is not "localhost".
My question:
(1) Can US 1.0.3 search files on a different server than the one US is running on?
(2) If so, how to specify the URL using the above example for it to work?
(3) If not, how about the newer version of US, 9.2 or 9.02? Can they be used to search files on other network servers/drives?
(4) If no to question (3), is there any plan to support this in the future version of US?
My comment: Not able to search other servers really limits the userfulness of US. I really hope Oracle will consider adding this capability.

Since I posted my previous question, I have read on the 1.0.3 online help that we can define remote crawlers to crawl "on a remote machine other than the Oracle Ultra Search database". So I assume this is how to make US to search on other servers. In the online documentation it also includes the following paragraph on "Remote Crawler Profiles Page":
"Use this page to view and edit remote crawler profiles. A remote crawler profile consists of all parameters needed to run the Ultra Search crawler on a remote machine other than the Oracle Ultra Search database. A remote crawler profile is identified by the hostname. The profile includes the cache, log, and mail directories that the remote crawler shares with the database machine. "
The Remote Crawler Profiles Page, however, displays only remote crawlers already defined and the page seems to be used just for editing the porfiles of these defined remote crawlers.
My questions:
(1) How do I create the remote crawlers and defines the profiles in the first place?
(2) Where can I find more documentation on remote crawlers?
(3) Once the remote crawlers are set up, how do I specify the file URLs for each remote crawler?
(4) With US9.02 or 9.2, does remote crawler work the same as in 1.0.3, or are there any enhancements?

I had the same problem here. I was working with OBIEE 10.1.3.2, after a lot of searching an reading decided to upgrade to 10.1.3.3 and the problem was solved.

XML Data Source: does not seem to validate against XSD

I setup XML data source using the example "b-c.xml" and "b-c.xsd"; I changed the
root element of "b-c.xml" from "<db>" to "<Customers>"; but Liquid Data does not
seem to care or validate the instance document against the XSD.
Is this a known bug? It's something very basic and obvious!

LD does indeed catch and report the mis-match at run-time as shown in the exception
below.
It does not valid the XML file against the schema at configuration time, only
at run-time. Hence Step 8 here - http://edocs/liquiddata/docs81/admin/xml.html#1035818
But beware - in some (most) cases LD does not do validation against the schema
for performance reasons. If the schema does not match you will simply get empty
results.

Selection in the Generic Data Source does not work

I have some problem with the selection in the Generic Data Source.
I have created a view as a base of a Generic Data Source.
This view is based on several table; i.e.: VBUK-VBELN (Sales Order number), VBAP-ERDAT (creation date of Sales Order), VBAP-POSNR (Sales order item), VBAK-BSTNK (Customer Purchase order number).
In the view, some join conditions have been defined: VBUK-VBELN = VBAK-VBELN, VBUK-VBLN = VBAP-VBELN.
I want to extract the Sales Order number, Sales order item and Customer Purchase order number for the Sales order created on the previous year.
On the Generic Data Source, I select VBELN (Sales order number) and ERDAT (creation date of sales order) as selection.
However, when I run the extractor checker (RSA3) on this Generic Data Source, the selection does not work at all, i.e.:
eventhough I restricted the Sales order number and/or the creation date of sales order, the generic data source ignores the selection criteria and extract ALL data.
Does anyone ever have similar problem? Did I miss some step in the Generic DAta Source creation? How to fix this problem?

LBWE -- 'Data Source Does not exit'

I am in LBWE (ECC 6.0) trying to activate the extract structure 2LIS_05_Q0NOTIF (same as 2LIS_05_NOTIF?) but I get the message:
'Data source 2lis_05_q0notif does not exist'
Any reason why should I be getting this message when all other SD extract structures were activate without any problem?

Check RSA6 to see if the extractor has been activated.
If not, transfer it using RSA5.

COPA data source does not allow delta - once more

When I try to generate COPA data source (tran KEB0) the system already have "Generic delta" in delta method field.
I want to use timestamp instead of that. How I can switch to timestamp?

All COPA datasources are timestamp based (which is a generic delta method).
I do not think you have an option to change it (not that there is any need since it already is what you want ie timestamp based), the system automatically creates a timestamp based delta method (each delta extracting records upto 30 min back from the current extraction time). Do not worry about the 'generic delta method' appearing in your KEB0.

COPA data source does not allow delta

I wanna generate new COPA data source. I did it but it doies not allow to establish delta.
Where I go to Simulate initialization of delta method and try to determinate time stamp the system tells me that "Function is not possible because data source is defined for generic delta"
How can I establish delta???

Aleksandrs, normally you only have to run a init load from BW. Then only delta packages.

DAC - Reset Data Sources does not work properly

I am trying to run a full load by selecting Reset Data Sources in DAC. However, when i select this option, only the data after Jan 11, 2014 gets picked up in the ETL. I have data starting from year 2010 in my database.
How do i ensure that the full set of data gets picked up for full load?

How does this work? Actually this was working fine for DAC 10g and the client was able to perform full loads by resetting the data sources.
What could be the issue with DAC 11g?
