VLAN issues when creating/modifying vNIC Templates

Sort of an odd issue, all of the VLANs that have been created do not show up when creating/modifying a vNIC Template. All of the VLANs have been created globally under the LAN Cloud as well as Appliances.
I have 9 VLANs total, yet UCS Manager will only display 5 when modifying or creating a vNIC Template.
I'm running UCS Manager 1.4(1m) and am experiencing the same issue on another suite of UCS gear that is running 1.4(1i). Anyone else experiencing the same?

I have seen odd issues with templates as they do not verify the values you are giving it.
Real world example:
You have 3 major deployment sites. If someone scripts the configuration at site 1, folks in site 2 may have used a different ascii name on their vlan naming. When you deploy the template, you give it VLAN_MGMT. However, the device running that script for the templates has the same vlan BUT was named VLAN-MGMT. Therefore, the templates will not show all the vlans.
To correct this, you could create the vlan necessary based on the naming convention and the template MAY reference it correctly.
Let us know if all the T's are crossed and I's are dotted. :-)

Performance issues when creating a Report / Query in Discoverer

Hope you are can help, it involves a performance issues when creating a Report / Query.
I have a Discoverer Report that currently takes less than 5 seconds to run. After I add a condition to bring back Batch Status that = Posted we cancelled the query after reaching 20 minutes as this is way too long. If I remove the condition the query time goes back to less than 5 seconds.

I've tried the condition (Batch Status||'' = 'Posted') as you suggested, but the qeury time is still over 20 mins. To test i changed it to (Batch Status||'' = 'Unposted') and the query was returned within seconds again.
Ive been doing some more digging and have found the database view that is linked to the Journal Batches folder. See below.
I think the problem is with the column using DECODE. When querying the column in TOAD the value of P is returned. But in discoverer the condition is done on the value Posted. Im not too sure how DECODE works, but think this could be the causing some sort of issue with Full Table Scans. How do we get around this?

Enabling Failover While creating the vNIC Template

Hello all,
As per my understanding enabling fail-over will create the secondary virtual path, which gives me the failover of vNIC automatically with the secondary virtual path that got created & the traffic will be routed towards another FI.
While creating the vNIC templates & in most of the deployments i have seen.
No one is considering the enable failover checkbox & I would like to know the pro's & corn's.
In which situation do i need consider it ? What is the recommended practice?

This failover flag made a lot of sense in the past, e.g. when Window server only supported one vnic.
For VMware ESXi whether its vswitch, DVS, N1000v, it is recommended to not use this hardware failover flag, and let the OS switch handle it.

Layout issues when creating page from valid template

Hi,
I have a built a page from which I have created a template. Both page and template render perfectly in Live and Design view. Both preview in FF, Safari and IE with no problem.
However, when I create a new page from the template, in Design View the page layout is pretty messed up. Lots of divs are wrapping and it appears that a clearing div is being ignored. In Live View, the page created from the template looks perfectly fine.
So to me it appears DW is doing rendering a page created from a template differently. The HTML is valid markup and it is this one edge case that we're fighting right now. DW bug?
To summarize:
- Source page looks good in Live and Design View
- Template created from source looks good in Live and Design View
- A New Page created from Template looks good in Live View, messed up in Design View.
- Source, Template and New Page all render correctly in FF, Safari and IE.
Can anyone suggest a solution or even the next debugging steps?

Error when creating a request Template In OIM

Hello all,
I have a very strange issue with OIM, it is when I try to create a request template, and put a restriction in Organization field, it creates the template and everything is fine. Suddenly, when I try to edit this template, the OIM shows a window with the next error:
ADF_FACES-60096:Server Exception during PPR, #5 oracle.iam.platform.utils.MinLimitException: size < minimum limit
I have found in other posts the "solution", It is to change in the database -> RequestTemplate Table -> Template Data Column, the restriction Organization from "the name of the organization" to "the Id of the organization", and restart the OIM, so after that, I can edit the template.
Here is the issue that I don't understand,... few hours after, I want to edit the same template, and the OIM again shows the same error:

And if I review in the database the table, in the Template Data Column, the restriction of Organization has AGAIN the "Name of the organization".

I had to restart the OIM server but also the DataBase and after that, this problem was solved.

What do you mean by "It is picking up state tax"? Does it mean that in the pricing procedure it is picking up a condition type which is meant for state tax?
If so go and check the condition record meant for it. Follow the following steps
1) Go to Sales order
2) Select the line item for which the state tax is being picked.
3) In the condition tab select analysis.
4) In Analysis you shall find the condition type meant for state tax.
5) See which condition record has been found.
6) Go to VK12, enter the state tax condition type and check the condition record for that state tax.
7) If wrong correct it.
8) If anything else come back to the post and inform the details

Workflow issue when create Purchase Order automaticlly based on Sales Order

yes, i mean the PO creator.
I just create a SO in VA01, then change the Schedule line category from CN to CP, then SAVE, then Confirm the Delivery Proposal. after all this, the PO will be created automatically by Workflow. Because when I display the PO via ME23N, it displays [Standard PO XXXXX created by Workflow-System] on the top of the screen.
But i do not know which workflow is trigered to create the PO. and i tried SWEL like you said, there is no record listed.

It was regarded as a bug in previous versions, and was fixed
in the 8.0.2
release. In normal circumstances, ALL links in a template
file must be
relative to the template document, not relative to where you
intend to save
the child pages. Thus, there would be no way to have a link
in your
template document like the first one you show, e.g.,

*unless* the file was actually in the Templates folder (a bad
idea).
In 8.0.2, you can set your PREFERENCES for the Templates
category to NOT
MANAGE relative links. Be aware that this may have unintended

Issue when creating a new email account on Adobe BC

Hi,
I got a big issue when I tried to create a new email account for my site, which is a very email account to me, and I had been using that email address for over 10 years.
Here is the issue, When I created this email account, Adobe BC keep telling me that account has been created (please see the screen shots below), but I did not see this email account on the BC's backend email account list at all. I tried to create that email for over dozen times, it just won't work!

You are saying that you have been using that email address for over 10 years. So you are trying to make an address which already somewhere exists?
That brings me to another thing - is the DNS setup made well? In order to make email address work, you should edit the A-Name & NS. Sometime even more settings (depend on domain registrar).

Hi,
In 2nd step of BPF template creation while defining step you should assign driver dimension by clicking on Define Step Region Criteria and choose owner property from that dimension.
Have you maintained Owner property in Entity dimension.If yes you can choose driver dimension as Entity and owner property as Owner.

Gender issue when creating Child Record in ESS

Dear experts,
I'm currently have a problem when creating new child for family infotype (0021). Everytime I create a new child record, the gender will always be 'Male' eventhough when I input the data, I choose the 'Female' radiobutton, but when I choose Next and display the 'Review' page, the gender will always be Male.
It make sense if it is creating a spouse record, since the spouse must be an opposite gender, but supposedly I can change the gender freely when I create the child record.
Is there something I missed out in the customization process? Or is there anything else that could solve this problem?
I found a topic that almost similar to our problem in Gender Unknown after selecting female/male in Family data But in that topic the gender will always set to 'Unknown', in our problem it will always set to 'Male'

This seems to be due to a time format issue when adding new database mapping in the url-mappings
when running the following command
@:as11g_pfrd_prod> java -jar apex.war map-url --type base-path /apexpoc apexpoc

After running the command the following entry was added to url mappings file
This resulted in the following entries in url-mapping.xml, (the timestamps are in to be in UTC):
<pool base-path="/apexpoc" name="apexpoc" updated="2012-11-15T23:52:58.0080Z"/>
Which caused the above stack trace and also caused a internal error 500 on the browser when trying to access APEX
we removed the url mapping and ran the following command(at a different time in the day)
@:as11g_pfrd_prod> pwd
/data1/software/oracle/product/as11g_pfrd_prod/user_projects/domains/PFRD_Domain/servers/WLS_APEX/stage/apex
@:as11g_pfrd_prod> java -jar apex.war map-url --type base-path /apexpoc apexpoc

Issue when creating production order

Hi I encountered below error message when creating the production order:
error or warning occurrred during master data transfer,I had checked BOM and operation,all is ok (validty date),what's wrong?

Read the master data Once again IN production order
Thru Function --> read master data
If You get the error
Go to -- log --> read PP master data, You can find the error
