Volume button not functioned

Hi,
I am in Colchester, Essex, UK. I have problem with the volume button which did not funtioned properly since I bought it. I thought it is like that. I try to use the ipad at Tesco near my place and feel the button is typically different from mine. Now, it get worsen as it can't slow down the volume. I have tried to use the "lane express" but failed. Please advise me where should I report this faulty? I just bought it end of May 2012 and this item still under warranty. For your information I bought this new iPad while I was in Malaysia.

Backup your data and do a factory reset. If that doesn't help then bring it to the service center. X2 has been updated to Lollipop for quite some time. Have not come across any volume issue after Lollipop update.

Hotkey Volume Buttons Not Functioning !

I just helped a friend pick up a T-60 2007 CTO Thinkpad and after a fresh install of XP I cannot get the Hotkey volume buttons (mute, +, -) and OSD to show the volume setting. I have installed all the drivers including the Hotkey drivers from Lenovo's site for this model to no avail. I also made sure the TP Display was enabled and checked in the XP's Display window. Anything else I should try ?
Also I got got rid of most of the yellow Unknown Device marks, but two stubborn ones still shows up, any idea what drivers are these ones are called ?
1. Intel 8280GBM LPC Interface Controller 27B9 (I already installed the chipset drivers !)
2. Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller

for the osd, make sure your video drivers are up to date.
for unk device #1, it may be the trusted platform module (tpm).

for unk device #2, i'm not sure what driver enables it.
if you open the device's properties sheet and select the details tab, what is the value of the hardware id?

How to fix intermittent sound issues with my 4S? Volume control buttons are not reponding, music app has no sound, ringer pop up image has no adjustment bar, but ring tone is functioning for incoming calls, and so is speaker for both incoming and outgoing calls. Help?

I suppose that you can demand all you want. It would have to be proven that the iOS update broke this particular function but it could also be said that it was just a matter of time that the broken thing manifested itself. Since the phone is out of warranty, it could also be said that it is your risk to update software. I'm not trying to be argumentative here, but we are not Apple. We are users like you and just try and provide support to other users. What you decide to do from here is your decision. I've given you all I know to do.

Have you tried the standard fixes:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Take it to the Genius Bar while you are still under warranty and they should be able to fix it. I went, one day after my warranty expired. While they confirmed the problem in my iPhone 5, they said it would be $269 to fix. The tech did helpfully show me how there's a much less convenient softkey workaround using General >Accessibility > AssistiveTouch. Not happy about it.

Are you not able change the sound volume level in Vista???
The problem is that only some single Vista drivers were published for Qosmio G20 and not all functions can be used.
But dont give up Andrej!!! There is a hope!!! Thanks to the all forum users who post proposals for solutions!!!

One hint; some of the items of Toshiba Value added package for the G30 can be installed on G20.
Install only the checked items. In other way you will have conflicts with windows mobility center.

I have a OSX v10.5.8 and just got a new wireless keyboard but can't get the volume buttons to work, tried some updates and this is not working either...what am I doing wrong, its driving me mad

all depends on the particular keyboard, my one has to use the function ( fn) and volume up or down keys together

iphone 4 volume and mute buttons not working, checked all settings they are all fine and when headphones in it works??? When I take out headphones the volum buttons do not work, when phone rings or text receives only vibrates???? HELP!!!!

This could be due to some debris or dirt inside the headphones jack that makes the iPhone think that the headphones are connected even when they are not.
Try to see if you can clean the jack being very careful, with canned air as sold in electronics store. Some people have been successful by introducing and withdrawing the headphones jack several times in a row to displace whatever is in there if it is lodged in.
Avoid introducing anything else like a pointed object. You could damage the jack.
If all of this does not work, I would try first resetting the phone by holding the home button and the power button together for about 15 seconds or until the whilte apple appears, then waiting until the phone resets. If the problem continues after this, take it to an Apple Store to see what they believe should be done.

Mute button, low volume button and high volume button not working after upgrade to Win7 Pro

Hi all, Im using X301. Previously it was shipped with the Vista Business. I was entitled for free upgrade to Win7 since the thinkpad was bought after 25th of June 09. The problem started after I successfully upgraded my Vista to Win7 Pro. My Mute/Unmute button was consistently in amber colour (signal for disabled). the volume button also is not working anymore. On the system side, everything was fine. the drivers is working properly.. the windows also is showing the volume is in a good shape. Unfortunately the button on the thinkpad is always on the disabled mode. Ive been searching for a related drivers that i could download and solve the issue. but till now all the softwares and drivers downloaded from lenovo could not solve my problem. any suggestion or comment is highly appreciated. thanks a million

Is it the same if you try without the Back cover ? If it works fine without it then put the cover back properly and check again..
Else, you may try a soft reset : Press Power + Volume(down) keys until the phone vibrates (about 8-10 seconds).
