Volume button not working, but not in US to fix it

Hi,
I recently bought an iphone5s 2 weeks back unlocked from the apple website while in the US. and then as i was leaving immediately to India i opened it only when i reached India.
To my surprise the Volume increase button is not working. Apple only has re sellers in India and doesnt have direct Apple stores. And these resellers informed me that iphone not bought in India cant be fixed by them nor is it under apple warranty in India. Only if the Apple product is bought in India will it be covered by them.
1. Doesn't Apple have international warranty?
2. If there is not direct Apple Stores in the country, how do you repair it?
I wont be going back to US anytime soon so wanted to know how could i possibly fix it? its a brand new phone and really disappointing that i have got a faulty piece. Yes i know on screen assistance can be used to change volume, but thats not the solution.
Someone please let me know how i can fix it or how to contact Apple US to see if something can be done?

No. Not for the iPhone or iPad.

You don't in India. You could give it to someone who is planning to go the US and they could take it to an Apple Store. You could also ship it (at your expense and risk) to a friend in the US and they could take it to an Apple Store. You cannot ship directly to Apple as they do not accept international shipments.

There is no other "fix". Contacting Apple is pointless and a waste of time. They will tell you the same thing. If you still want to contact them, click on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of this page.
Next time, buy the phone in the country you intend to use it in.

Okay before my ipod power and volume buttons werent working but i never dropped it, then one day i was in a app and my ipod froze so i held the home button down and the screen went a bright green color and isnt showing up in itunes

okay I just recently bought a ipod touch 4thG and im already having issues. recently the power and volume buttons stopped working after i syncd my ipod, i shrugged it off figuring it would come back i could live without it. but today I was on my ipod while it was charging and the screen just froze so i pressed and held the home button (being that's the only button that actually works) then the screen turned this bright yellowish lime green color and its not responding to ANYTHING! my computer isnt even reading it when i plug it up into itunes! so what should i do? can anyone help me? i feel like i just wasted $200...

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Screen in the ipad 2 is not working but not warranty because of scratches in the back?

I recently bought an Ipad 2 with apple care, suddenly few days ago the screen stopped working. I reset, restored everything with no success.
After speaking with the customer support over the phone several times (almost 100$ in phone bill!!!) they told me that I could not substitute the product within the due warranty because of some scratches in the back of the devices.
Although they realized that the scratches have nothing to do with the screen issue, they said that these scratches are categorized as "accidental damages" and therefore the warranty doesn't cover that!
I tried to explain that I don't care if my Ipad as some scratches and i don't want that to be covered, I only want the screen to be working and this is an obvious problem of manifacturing!
Bottom line they are now asking 500$ in order to change my 3 weeks old IPAD 2 malfunctioning only because the external part has got some scratches!
Is this standard?

Restart your device
Hold the On/Off button until "slider to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.

Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.

Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Try restoring the iPod to rule out a software problem. First restore from backup and then to factory defaults/new iPod.
Then an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My wake-up/sleep button does not work, but the serial is out from Apple list to repair. What i do now?

Then there isn't anything you can do about it then. Your only choice is to pay to have the device fixed or replaced. Apple is in charge of that, and as I said in the other thread, this is not Apple you are talking to, we are users like you and cannot do anything about that.

Volume button on Muvo N200 not work

I have a MuVo N200 Gb. A week after getting it the volume button stopped working. Rather than adjusting the volume, the mp3 player crashes and turns itself off immediately. The player can subsequently be turned on, pause/play button works and toggle switch works, in addition to music playing as normal. However, as soon as the volume buttons are pressed the mp3 player crashes again.
Does anyone know how this can be fixed?
I have the latest firmware update, which is "MuVo N200, FW release .".

I tried the new update and it solved the problem. Someone had posted a similar problem on this site; in their case the player crashed each time the radio option was selected on the player. There must be a bug in the software that is dri'ven by some kind of event.
The thing that concerns me the most is that when I used the "automatically check for new firmare" option on the creative site I was told I had the most up to date firmware, which clearly wasn't the case! Oh well...

Ipad2 Inbuilt speaker not working, but headphone is working

I am using iPad2 32 GB, 3G + Wifi. updated with iOS 5.
It's in-built speaker is not working, but when I use headphone, sound it working on it.
Please help.
I checked mute button and checked doubling clicking the home button and going all way to the left.
Still not working..

You've double checked that you haven't got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound. Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. If that isn't the case then have you tried a reset by pressing and holding both the sleep and home buttons for 10 to p15 seconds until the Appe logo appears (it won't remove any content). Also when you use the volume switch does it show a heanhone symbol on the screen i.e. does it think than headphones are connected even when they aren't ?

Sound Speakers are not working! Not allowed to control the volume! Why?

Digital Output is not working on my iMac PowerPC G5 with Tiger. Suddenly, sound disappear and I was not allowed to turn on the volume through the keyboard buttons; a "not allowed" icon confirms that.
First I thought It was because Perian, Quicktime plugins, libraries, etc as I have read searching on these forums but I have just installed Mac OS X from the default install disc after formatting but the problem is not solved!
Speakers do not work but headphones and airtunes do.
Did the iMac Sound Speakers die?

Under name: Digital out
Under type: Built in audio
Below that : settings for selected device
It says:The selected device has no output controls
It won't let me adjust the audio up or down, no sound.
I can hear the chime when the computer comes on, though.

If the iPod is defective and not abused Apple will exchange it at no cost under your warranty.

This is a brand new MacBook Pro (15-inch, mid-2012) just received. I suspect that this is a hardware problem as:
The mini-displayport to DVI adapter and the external monitor that I am utilizing connect and operate just fine using my older MacBook Pro (mid-2010) with the same OS.
The new MacBook Pro powers the external monitor with a mini-displayport to VGA adapater without issue.
The new MacBook Pro powers an Apple Thunderbolt display without issue.
Both MacBook Pro's are running OSX Lion 10.7.4.
The only combination which does not work is the mini-displayport to DVI adapater used in conjunction with the brand new MacBook Pro (mid-2012).
All adapters and components (mini-displayport adapters) are Apple retail adapter.
I have tried several external monitors, including my Dell U2412m.
When I connect the mini-displayport to DVI adapater to the new MacBook Pro (mid-2012), nothing happens. The external monitor reports "no signal" and attempts to go into sleep mode. Using the "Detect displays" button has no effect, even when used multiple times. Rebooting does not help, nor does resetting the SMC or PRAM.
Any other suggestions before I take it to the Genius Bar?

I turns out that the logic board of my MacBook Pro was faulty (despite being brand new).
I took it to the Apple Store, presented the problem, and one of the Tech's came to the same conclusion that I had -- hardware failure. Phone support was no help in the matter (and even told me that what I was trying to do wasn't a supported option, which is rediculous). However, the Genius Bar did take care of the problem, and my MacBook Pro was back to me with a replaced logic board within a few days.
