WAD problem: HTML code is disappearing.

hello all
When i paste the HTML code into the HTML tabpage of a WAD, and then switching to the layout tab or saving the template, results in loosing the HTML code and no layout is available, only default code is available in the HTML Tab.
is it a WAD problme? or any other reason for this problem..
Please let me know, if anybody experianced this kind of problem

Hi Ravi,
Did you find any solution for this issue. i have 3.5 WAD template and I embeded a javascript code to display pop up. When I add this javascript code then i am facing the same issue as you described below. The code, layout and overview is disapeearing.
Could you let us know what you did to resolve the issue?

HTML Code Display - Disappearing???

Hello,
Running into an issue, not sure how to fix this.
I am building a link to an external .htm file that will be included with our help CHMs. It's staying external because this allows us to update it at any time without having to update any CHM itself by re-importing and building. The html files are in the same folder as the help CHMs.
Normal hyperlinking doesn't seem to work - the CHM can't apparently see the content of topic, and may be running into an issue because it appears to be trying to open within the help screen rather than through a browser like IE or Firefox.
So I did some googling and found the following html code which works like a charm:

The issue I'm running into is that this code doesn't display in RoboHelp itself. That is, if I view the topic in Design mode, the hyperlink text ("Doc name" in the example above) never shows. And if I go between design and html, or close and reopen, the code disappears in the HTML view as well. The code is still there - the links show up as designed (and work) whenever I compile the project. I just can't find a way of getting them to display in RH beyond staying in the HTML view for that topic after inserting the code.
Any ideas why this is happening, and what can be done?

You could try an iFrame. Much easier in RoboHelp 9 I believe but also available in RoboHelp 8.

1) Does not appear in the preview thumbnail adobe muse.
2) The pull-down menu or previously entered disappears from display problems once exported the site in html.
Removing the html code menu work correctly.
Where is the problem ??

Most likely there is a critical code error somewhere. Use the W3C validation tools to check your CSS and HTML code.

On first search file:///center%3E,br%3E%3Cbr%3E appears in the search bar looks to be html code that has got in there somehow. How can I remove the unwanted code so that the browser returns to normal.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

HTML code appears corrupted - anyone run into this problem?

Using RH8 HTML - All of my topics have unusual spacing in the html code. This happens with a brand new project - starting right from the menu to select a new project. As soon as the project is created I go into the first topic and look at the html code and it looks something like this:
OK, even though it's hard to read, you can get the jist of it. This happens with old or new projects.
I am hoping I do not have to have our IT staff perform a uninstall/install. Any feedback is greatly appreciate.

Just want to add that the usual trick of restoring the default font to Courier at 100% does not work as the dropdown is blank when Robert accesses it.
Also this applies to any project Robert opens, including the samples.

Problem with HTML code wich is transforming by RH

I would like to know if there is a way to stop the transformation that Robohelp does in the html code.
For example:
I write in the html editor :

bla bla bla
</div>
I go back to the Conception editor to work, then, when I go back to the html editor, the code became :
<?rh-region_start id="footer" style="x-right: -1240px; x-bottom: -110px; " ?>
bla bla bla
<?rh-region_end ?>

Hi there
I suspect what is happening is that you are trying to use the term "footer" to identify a div and because RoboHelp offers its own footer and header, these are "reserved" words that RoboHelp will insist on using.
It's no different than what you encounter when scripting or programming.
The only suggestion I can make is to perhaps use a variant on the name. Perhaps insert a zero for one or both of the letter o in footer so it looks like this: f00ter.

Problem with embedding Flash Text/HTML Code

Hey all, im new to DW and just created a html page with a
black background and a picture. I also added a flash text called
"Enter Forum" by using "Insert>Media>Flash Text"
When i copy and paste the code that is generated in the

my site it is not there. I uploaded the .swf file to my server
also, i have played around with the coding a bit to see if i was

Can you post the url to show us the page on your server? If
you copied
everything, it could be you have too many doc types, headers
and body tags
in your index.html page.

Problem when importing HTML code to JSP

When I copy HTML code to JSP strange thing happens - "It's" became "It?s". But that's not all. I changed "It?s" to "It's", but when I run the JSP output on the screen is still "It?s".
Why does this happens?

The code in bold below worked. After I switched my browser from IE 11 to Firefox to get the hover on hotspots to work, the program gave me this error message. I moved the EXE file to my local file folder and tried it as shown below. Still no success. Any suggestions?

It allows executables in Firefox to be run - it is an extenstion, though, so it must be installed in Firefox before your page will work.

However, you will still have problems with getting it to work cross-browser. Honestly, browsers are not supposed to have access like that to the client side file system, which absolutely makes sense for the web.
That is why you may have to approach the solution from a different angle - perhaps create a server side cloud version of your application(s) which can be easily accessed and run by your family members. I believe you used C to develop the applications? Although I have no experience with this framework, Wt might be a solution to convert your projects to server side applications:

Using webmail in Mozilla Firefox 17.0.1 on Windows 8, original messages get turned into html code when I reply to or forward them. How can I fix this?

I have tried re-setting Firefox and working in Safe Mode, but the problem still recurs. I use Fastmail as my webmail server and never had this problem on Windows XP or Windows 7. When I reply to a message, the original message is turned into html code. The same happens when I forward a message.
My JavaScript is up to date, in case that's relevant. The Fastmail support team suggested the problem would be Firefox-related.
The other function of my Fastmail account that isn't working properly in Firefox 17.0.1. is the search function.
Do I need to get new plugins or something? I don't know where the HTML editor is in Firefox or if that's what's wrong.

Thanks for your reply, cor-el. Norton 360 came pre-installed on the laptop as part of the package I bought. I haven't changed the pre-set firewall or anti-virus settings. Should I change something?
I will try rebooting in Windows Safe mode as you say and report if that makes any difference.

Web Intelligence: Save Report as PDF and with embedded HTML code

Hi all.
Sorry but I'm not able to find any post about this matter, please feel free to provide links if you know existing topics about this problem.
We created a beautiful report with HTML5 code embedded into a blank cell and we are now trying to export it in a printable format (e.g.: PDF or HTML).
As you know (as per manual information) it is not possible to export a report with embedded HTML code and keeping it in the output (cell with embedded HTML code is rendered blank).
My question is: is there a known workaround or an alternative solution to export the report and keep its content?
Print screen is not a valid option :-P

My problem is all quote ' are translated to their html code entity : &apos.
The french accent causes problem too.

Not currently. You would need to specify output at text, but this is not currently supported by the database XSLT engine

Print a PDF report having a field(column table) with a HTML code

hello every one,
I have a table where a column(varchar2) have HTML code inside it.
Because all my reports are in PDF format, how can I print this column, when I print in PDF I see all HTML tag and it isn't formatted.
Have Anyone same problem, could I convert in PDf before I print it?

You need to set "Contains HTML tags" to YES, so that the HTML code is formated in the report.
It is a property of the field.
