Wallboard - Calculating daily average wait time

In Historical Reporting, if we look up a queue's average wait duration for the day we are given 5:34.
At the same time, if I pull up avgWaitDuration in RtCSQsSummary, I am given 190505.  What number is this?  Seconds?  if in seconds, and the total calls answered for that queue is 248, then I should be able to divide 190505 by 248.  When I do that, I get 768 seconds.  768 (12:48) is a far cry different from 334 (5:34).  Where am I going wrong?

Ok, I determined that the number is not actual ASA, but apparently "avg queue time".  I assume this to mean the clock starts when the caller is placed in the queue, after completing the call tree.
I figured out how to calculate the time provided, and it matches the time in History Reporting for the "avg queue time".  But the time we ACTUALLY want is the "avg speed to answer", as found in History Reporting for each queue.
What table would I find the ASA from the time the caller enters the call tree?

  • Wallboard: convoldestContact vs Expected Wait Time

    We use the opensource wallboard version 2.4(beta), and it pulls from the UCCX database two variables convoldestContact and convLongestWaitDuration.  Does anyone have specific definitions for those?  The wallboard software calls Current Wait Time and Longest Wait Time, but I'm wondering how they're really calculated.
    We're testing an Expected Wait Time feature of our script via the Get Reporting steps, and the value being calculated is considerably different than the wallboard Current Wait Time.  But I suspect that the wallboard version is reflecting something different -- perhaps the wait time when the most recent caller entered the queue (since it doesn't seem to be changing as that caller waits).

    Your suspicion is correct.  The wallboard is not performing an expected wait calculation.  It's simply reporting how long the longest current caller has been in queue.  The Get Reporting step is estimating wait time by a number of factors. 
    For example if you have 10 agents logged in taking calls, and 9 log out, you'll see Estimated Wait Time skyrocket, while convOldestContact will simply keep counting how long the oldest caller has been in queue.

    I have a SCCM 2012 SP1 CU4 environment with SCOM monitoring installed.
    I also do have 4 secondary sites installed below my primary. The secondaries are using SQL 2012 Express version default deployed using the secondary site installation.
    My SCOM monitoring is generating tickets with the following message:
    The Average Wait Time of SQL instance "CONFIGMGRSEC" on computer "<SEC_SITE_SERVER>" is too high
    How can i solve this ? Or do I need to ignore this ?

    Hey everyone,
    Probably a dumb question here, but I am switching to Verizon... I placed an order online the night of 9/25, for 3 phones (2 iPhone 4, and a Blackberry), porting all my numbers over from US Cellular.   Received the "Sales Confirmation" email that states it is pending final credit approval.   On 9/26, it said the order was being processed and to check back tomorrow... which it still says on the 28th.  I understand orders are probably a bit backed up with all the iPhone 5 people, so I was just wondering if anyone could provide me like an average on how long before it will go through and the phones ship (the money paid for the phones has still not been taken out of my account either).., basically I just want to make sure that either I or someone will be here to sign for the phones, and my job it isn't that easy to change shifts so I was basically just trying to have as much notice as possible.  I realize that I probably just need to be more patient, but I am about ready to smash this US Cellular phone with a hammer but I don't want to do that till I have my new ones from Verizon

  • Average waiting time for applecare standard service replacement????

    Does anyone know how long it usually takes returning you Iphone 4 on the standard replacement option rather than the advanced option which applecare provide you. I sent my iphone on last saturday on the 7th and its not been 9 days but I suppose techniqually its probaly only 5 days seing as delivery only operates in Australia from Monday to Friday. Thats what I thought anyway. There are the floods in Queensland not to forgot so thats probaly held up mail aswell. But with all this would anyone find this odd that I havent heard anything or should I not worry about it?

    yeh i'll give that a try actually. I havent asked them the status by phone yet. oh i don't know if you've seen the email they send you with the repair ID on before but it says you must return the Iphone 4 with 10 business days to avoid cancellation. Would Monday to Friday only count as business days or is it from the day I requested the repair and replacement service?

  • Uccx 9.0 expected wait time returns a -1 value

    Guys I am trying to use the expected wait time feature in UCCX, however the value returned is -1 each time this step is executed. All the other feature such as average wait time etc all works, its just the expected wait time that doesnt. Any ideas please?

    During your tests, the call activating the script you are debugging is actually in queue and with a real wait time?

  • Relation between RFC time and Roll wait time

    Hello
    What is the relation between RFC time and Roll wait time?
    In a diagram from E2E100 training I took recently the relationship is made out to be:
    RFC+CPIC = some processing time + Roll wait time
    Something like this
    Processing----
    Roll wait-------
    Roll in
    RFC+CPIC----
    In the diagram I saw it shows that roll out occurs during processing.
    Assumming that the user context rolls out and then rolls in again, wouldn't "Wait" time occur when the request comes back and the dispatcher has to assign the request to a work process?
    Is this wait time calculated as "Wait" time or is it calculated as "Roll wait" time?
    I was forced to think about this because of a STAD record I have with high Roll wait time, but with low RFC time as well as zero GUI time. If "Wait" time when the request comes back from RFC is included in "Roll wait" then it might explain what i'm seeing.

    I would like to know how time spend in the dispatcher by a request coming back from an RFC is calculated.
    When the RFC is made the user context is rolled out of the work process so the work process becomes free. When the RFC comes back it has to be assigned to a new work process. This means that a bit of time would need to be spent in the dispatcher. Would this time be measured as "wait" time or is it part of "Roll wait time?
    From the definition you gave of "Roll wait time", "it is the time dedicated by the R/3 system to waiting for the return value of an RFC call plus the CPIC time required to create the connection for that RFC to an outside system", one would think that the time spent in the dispatcher by a returning RFC would be measured as "wait time" the same as when the dialog request first comes in from the front end. I've never seen a diagram that explained this satisfactorily.

  • UCCX Estimated Wait Time w/ default time?

    Does anyone have a script for Estimated Wait Time that has a default wait time?  For example if the "default time" is 2 mintues and the actual EWT is 14 seconds it would say "2 mintues".  if the actual EWT then climbs to 6min 15 sec, it would say "6 minutes 15 seconds".
    We're getting complaints when a rash of calls comes in and our EWT isn't able to calculate the trending change fast enough.

    If your call center doesn't have a steady call volume or agents sign on/off frequently then you could try using the average wait time instead of the estimated wait time.  The average will be less volitile.

    I didn't understand how the system calculates the average daily requirement in Dynamic Safety Stock process. The following process flow in given in SAP notes to find how the system calculates the average daily requirement:
    1. The system uses the defined parameters to determine the number of days used for calculating the average daily requirements. If the period is defined as a week, the period length as standard days (5 days) and the number of periods as 2, the system divides the total of the requirements by 10 days.
    2. The system then calculates the total of the requirements for this period.
    The system takes into account all requirements in the current period, even requirements that lie in the past but are still in the current period. For example, if the planning run is carried out in the middle of the month, then those requirements that were planned at the beginning of the month are also included in the calculation of the average daily requirements.
    3. The average daily requirement is calculated using the formula:
    Requirements in the specified number of periods / Number of days within the total period length
    I have run MRP on 02/23/2009 and the following results are generated in stock requirement list of the component part:

    Range of coverage in first period -
    min - blank
    tgt - 7
    max - blank
    number of periods - blank
    The system will calculate the safety stock for 7 days for each period; i.e., 7*3=21 and it will generate plnd orders as
    week1 = 51
    week2 = 14+21 = 35
    week3 = 10+21 = 31
    week4 = 30+21 = 51
    If you want to restrict your calculation till 2 periods then make following settings -
    Range of coverage in first period -
    min - blank
    tgt - 7
    max - blank
    number of periods - 2
    Range of coverage in second period -
    Make all blank
    Range of coverage in the rest of the horizon -
    min - blank
    tgt - 3
    max - blank
    It means for first two weeks the safety stock will be 21 (equivalent to 7 days) and for rest of the horizon it will be 3*3 = 9 (equivalent to 3 days)
    The Plnd orders will be -
    week 1 = 51
    week 2 = 35
    week 3 = 14+9 = 23
    week 4 = 30+9 = 39
    and so on.

    With CVP Courtesy callback, if a caller selects to be called back and then hangs up, will that period of time be also considered in the Skill Group's wait times and average speed of answer?  Or is wait time only considered when the caller is physically waiting on the phone?

    Mike,
    The caller is still considered "queued" for the duration. The CVP app that does the callback is run as a non-interruptable script, and keeps the ICM call active until the decision is made to call back the caller. ICM does not see this as any different from a regular queued call.

    I don't know if you've seen this ... but pg 324 (2-306) of the editor step reference guide gives a description of how the ewt is calculated. It doesn't give an exact formula though....
