Wallpaper info for anyone that's interested... Landscape orientation only

I had spent ages trying to find out the optimal size for a wallpaper, and couldn't seem to find any real info. So after a couple of test images, I have discovered some useful info, that may or may not be of use to other people trying to figure out the wallpaper sizes.
If you create a wallpaper that is 1920x1200, the width gets scaled to fit the 5 home screens. So if you scroll all the way left, you see the left edge of the image, and the same to the right.
Heightwise, you get a strip that is 800 pixels high in the centre of the wallpaper, that gets scaled to fill the screen height. So your wallpaper is effectively a 1920x800 strip, in the middle of a 1920x1200 image. This doesn't work in portrait mode, but that doesn't bother me, because I don't use the tablet in that orientation anyway.
That might be of no use to other people, but I thought I would share it anyway, just in case it was.

I'm sorry, but that is not correct. Download this image and set it as your wallpaper. I guarantee that you will not see the text that says "1920x1080" on your tablet screen.

Here's a screenshot of my tablet screen, with a 1920x1080 image set as the wallpaper. As you can see, the top of the screen shows 1920x800. That is the maximum height that is visible, and that's an 800 pixel high box in the middle of the image. If I was to show the left side fully scrolled, the edge would be missing too.
If you think about it, the tablet screen is 1920x1200, so it would have to scale a 1080 high image to fill the screen, but it also has to cater for scrolling two screens to the left or right, so it has to scale the width to fit that too.

Sourcecode for anyone who's interested

I started a project on sourceforge. DevEnhancer

It's a framework or a toolbox for Business One developers.
About 2500 lines of code.
I decided to put it on sourceforge, because the project is
very nice hosted there.
You'll find there two files. The first one is the C# file with the code
and the second one is a chm file with the extracted class and method
definitions. I haven't included so much examples, but I think most of the code
is self explaining.
Only thing to do is to include it in your Visual Studio Project and add two
references to SAPbobsCOM and SAPbouiCOM.
If anyone is interested in joining the project ask me.
If you think, it's useful, write me suggestions or bugreports.
If you want to use it, no problem, it's under GPL, open source

My 23" display is one of the first to ship last July (2004). It has the uneven colors (when viewing a blue screen) and the pink hue. So far in its life it has had two pixels go stuck blue (I check it when i got it and it had zero stuck pixels) and one firewire port die.
Lately I've had problems with "burn-in" such that on gray color backgrounds or windows (like the default color it seems to pick when switching wallpaper) show residual images (faded ghost images) of previously displayed things. The top bar where the menu is seems really burned in (I can see it on the blue login screen).
I've been holding out too for a confirmed fix. I have an extended warranty till 2007 so I'm in no rush.

I purchased a reconditioned 23" Aluminum from Apple last month, and after the first one died within 5 days, I received a second one with serious pink hue problems and MAJOR ghosting. After an hour on the phone with apple, they said all they can do was fix it. I wanted out of the 23" because of all the problems I've heard. Anyway, they sent a box, I packed it, and when it returned, it was finally excellent. I have finally solved my problem regarding my comments not showing up on blogs and websites. I changed my email address and that seems to have done the trick. Just in case anyone else runs into the same thing. Thanks Miriam for trying to help me.

Judging by the number of other threads on this, yes many people have been having Yahoo mail issues with push, and it appears to be on Yahoo's side, not Apple's.

I have a 9" Aspire One and love it, although I wish I'd known about the 10" one coming out, it's less than what I paid for my 9" in December! (I also have a fullsized laptop for gaming and such, but many times I just bring the tiny AAO along - superportable and great battery life)
As previously mentioned, you can't legally save DVDs to the hard drive of a computer to watch on a plane (or whatever) even if you own the DVD. No real technical barriers, but it is not legal.
I do routinely take TV recordings from my MythTV (Computer-based PVR, kind of like TiVo on steroids) system and recompress them with Handbrake (http://handbrake.fr/) for my Aspire One. Recompressing broadcast TV recordings is legal.
FYI - The netbooks Best Buy sells are usually the same price as from other sources but frequently include a smaller 3-cell battery instead of a 6-cell battery, a fact which is not mentioned on Best Buy's online ordering systems, or at least wasn't a few weeks ago.

Info for ipods that won't down load

Thanks to Pamela Lowry's post i fixed my iPod. After the iTunes update it wouldn't down load and I couldn't update. Saying I had an old version of OSX which was incorrect. I was using the download connector from the Apple Support page and it didn't work. However, like Pamela said go into your Utilities in Apps and update from there. It worked! Weird...I don't know why because I am assuming it is the same down load. P.S after your iPod restarts I had to close iTunes and re open it for it to recognize my iPod. Some may have to restart.

If your songs are in iTunes I don't think disconnecting your iPod will hurt them. That warning I think is so you don't disconnect during updating. Is there an iPod iCon on your desk top? If so drag it to the trash. Then disconnect the ipod.
Also try closing iTunes then reopeniong it. Sometimes I have to do that. Then reset the ipod with the directions from the manual ( iPods differ in that procedure) Don't re set the factory settings until you have tried the trouble shooting tips in the manual as well. You might want to open a new post as well ...this is an old one and most people won't look back this far.

REAL DETAILED INFO for anyone up to the CHALLENGE OF SAVING THE DAY!~

My video is totally distorted and I don't know what to do. A production house used Blackmagic to import the beta footage onto our harddrives. I downloaded blackmagic onto my computer.
The image has an interlacing problem- and not just because i am watching it on the computer monitor- because i have printed to dvd and the interlacing issue is still very much apparent when i watch it on a NTSC monitor. The image looks great (color,detail), except for when there is movement, and the movement is staggard/blurred/choppy... whatever- all of the above! I really am not sure how to solve this problem?
Within Final Cut 5, I cannot solve the distortion issue- hense I cannot export an appropriate video- so believe that somewhere in the mess of my settings in FCP- something terrible is being overlooked.
I have a sequence set at:
Frame size 720 x 486
Aspect Ratio: CCIR NTSC (40:27)... (The only other CCIR options to choose from are CCIR 601 NTSC Sq. (4:3), or PAL...)
Pixel Aspect Ratio: NTSC - CCIR 601/ DV (40:27)
Field Dominance: Lower (Even)

QUickTime Video Compressor: Blackmagic - Quality set for high

Frame size 720 x 486
Pixel Aspect Ratio: NTSC - CCIR 601
Field Dominance: Lower (Even)
Video Rate: 29.97 fps
Compressor: Uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2
Data Rate: 20.3 MB/sec
I tried the sequence setting compressor as uncompressed 8-bit 4:2:2 before as well and was getting the same distortion issue.
When I export a quicktime movie i choose format- qtmovie with compression at blackmagic 8 bit.
when i use compressor and convert it to an mpeg4 the footage has issues. (The compressor will also not allow me to change the geometry setting to a "720x480 mpeg2 file" as you had said, and is locked in as 720X480 (and i am not sure how to go about changing that).)
What should I set my sequence setting to, and how should i export so that i may finally get this footage to DVD. PLEASE PLEASE HELP.

I do not see in your post where you tried upper field setting on the footage.
Make a copy at the Finder level of one of your shorter media files. Start a complete new, empty project. Import the clip. Now try adjusting the field setting for the clip. Then reset the clip and try changing the sequence setting. Then change both. One of those combinations is going to work. If it doesn't, the media may have been captured improperly and that's an argument you cannot win. You can ask nicely for another short clip from the production house and then demand they use alternate field settings (but I don't have a BM rig so I have no clue how the thing works).
You really need to be talking to Blackmagic. There's a BM forum over on creativecow.net but, if you go there, try looking for field issues before posting and, if you insist on posting, let those good souls know you've also posted here.

Use of the 'Back' link in Catalog/Portal - Useful info for Catalog Admins

Some info for anyone out there who may have noticed the small 'issue' with catalog items being duplicated when exiting a catalog using the Portal 'Back' link rather than the 'Return to Application/SRM' link.
A problem has been identified there where portal navigation causes duplication of catalog data even where no item is selected in the catalog.
The process might be:
1. User accesses a catalog (any, SAP or External) and selects/adds to cart an item.
2. User selects the 'Add Item' button in the 2nd step of the SC GAF, returning to the same catalog.
3. User clicks on the Portal 'Back' link and is returned to the 2nd step of the Shopping Cart Guided Application Framework
4. The initial shopped item is duplicated in the shopping cart even though no items were selected by the user.
To ensure that this does not happen SAP have created note [1445078|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1445078] which provides the means to remove the 'Back' link thus negating the possibility of this issue occuring in the case of any catalog access.
Please follow the steps provided in the note to modify the Portal Content and remove the back link entirely.

The catalog no longer opens in a new window from SRM 7.0 as we now use Portal as UI or NWBC, in order to maintain session reliability the catalog frame is launched from within the Shopping Cart Guided Application Framework, this SC 'session' is then placed in ACTION SUSPEND, until the return from catalog is generated where the session is triggered to reopen with a RESUME command.
If you wish to remove the portal navigation 'back' link, I believe you already have a note for doing so, if this has not worked, re-trace all the steps in case something was missed. It should work. By adding the bypassinb/outb_handler parameters into the call structure you should then have available the Return to SRM link instead in the catalog.
You are also correct, use of teh integrated call structure in SPRO is no longer recommended, it is relevant for older UI technology like ITS.

I have a problem with landscape oriented pages being cut off at 8.5" horizontally, when in Design View.

I am trying to edit a form created in livecycle designer. Some of the pages are in portrait orientation and some in landscape orientation. The problem is that all the landscape oriented pages are cut off at 8.5" horizontally, so I can't edit the part that is cropped off. the full horizontal width of the landscape pages are visible in Preview PDF mode, but not Design View mode. Does anyone know what I need to do to be able to see all of the 11" width of these landscape oriented pages in Design Mode?

The following line tells me that this is not a template file, but a document created from a template called index.dwt

This means that you saved a child document as a template file at some stage.
If you go to Modify->Templates->Detach from Template, you can remove the template structure from your document. All you then need to do is to re-save the document as a template.

Connect the device to the computer.
In iTunes, select the content desired to sync.
Sync.
This is all described in the User's Guide, reading it may be a good place to start.

200% or more is not strange. Remember that your mac has 4 cores (you say it's 3 months old, so I assume it is a new model), so 200% amounts to using 2 of these 4 cores to the max.
Regarding the question of creating a new admin user: while it sits in the same system, it may help if the problem is caused by some user-specific preferences or settings. Not likely in your case, since you seem to have reinstalled from scratch, but still it is worth a try. It takes 5 minutes and may help pinpoint the problem.

I have the lates version of Itunes

I have managed to figure out how to solve this problem, after looking around I saw a lot of people kept saying makesure it is list view however this still did not work, I found the only way for me get these buttons back was to change the Movie to a TV Show and only then did the "Next" and "Previous" button appear. Right Click> Get Info > Options > Media Kind and then Select TV Show, this is extremely inconvienent but the only way that I found that has worked so far.
