Dear community members;
Hope all will be fine. Dear members I am facing a littile bit problem which I am un-able to resolve. I am inserting some records in a table after insertion I want to update one field of this table my table structure like:
P.O Color Cut_No Slip_No
abc abc 1
abc abc 1
abc abc 1
sdf sdf 2
sdf sdf 2
sdf sdf 2
Now I want to update field Slip_No; I want to add in this field different Sr.No on the behalf of cut_no. I am doing all of these things on backend process.
My result should be like this:
P.O Color Cut_No Slip_No
abc abc 1 1
abc abc 1 2
abc abc 1 3
sdf sdf 2 1
sdf sdf 2 2
sdf sdf 2 3

Hello,
Use this sql while insert/executing your procedure.
DECLARE
  vMaxNo DATATYPE;
BEGIN
  SELECT MAX(NVL(SLIP_NO,0))+1
  INTO vMaxNo  -- Use this variable while inseting into that table.
  FROM TABLE_NAME  - Replace with the actual table name
  WHERE PO_COLOR = VARIABLE  -- Replace while using in backend process as you said.
  AND CUST_NO = VARIABLE; -- Replace while using in backend process as you said.
