Watch sample movies...
Watch sample movies does not work. I tryed to get the sample movies on my iPod but it's not possible to do this via iTune. If i copy it myself, i can't select the movie via the iPod menue.
Play the movie on my PC via iTunes works perfect. If i try to convert the movie to iPod format, it reports that it's alreay is the correct format. Is there maybe a bug in iTunes?
Maybe i do something wrong, or my iPod does not support movie-playback function.

You need to free up some space on your iPhone 4 so you the movie can be downloaded then you can watch it after.

What is the best experience I can get from watching a movie using standard stereo headphones. I realize I need to test with my ears but I ask because I might need to buy cables. I have the X-fi Platinum with the console. I use a standalone dvd player to watch on my tv. The sound is currently sent to my stereo where I use headphones and was thinking of sending the sound to my X-fi and using the headphones there. Should I use a digital connection for 5. from the dvd player to the X-fi?. Will cmss utilize true 5. signals or will the signal just be wasted. both ways would work, and I'm not sure which one to recomend.
Importing image by image wouldn't be so hard, and could give
you the advantage of being able to even ad interactivity like
moving layers or fading them and and and...
Making a flv and a slider is maybe a bit easier (btw i made a
sample some days ago I could provide you with if needs be), but not
as flexible.
Filesize will be an issue, and I guess the flv is bettr in
that respect, but compression might damage the quality, wich might
also be of importance.
Importing all as pngs with trancparencie might lead to other
issues, as discuessed here in a recent thread about pngs (the
number of png that can be stacked one over an other is limeted but
it seems the information about numbers is inconasistent,one of the
programmers of flashplayer talked about 24...)so there might be an
issue there.
But I think ist's a great idea, and it is doable in either
way, maybe it's wise to make sone test with - say 10 layers and
decide then which way to go for the rest. -
How can I go back the same song that was playing when I switched and watched a movie?
How can I go back to the same song and place in the song that was playing when I started watching a movie? I have over 6k songs and now my ipod always goes back to #1 even though I may have been listening to # 321. How do I ever get to listen to all my songs. Yes I have it on random but if I look at the songs I have played lots of them have played 15-20 times amd many more 6-8 times. At this point I don't feel I will ever hear the latest songs I added.
Any help will be greately appreciated. Also is it possible to do the same on the new ipod classic 160?One area that this appears is on Facebook where it lists the number of Recognized Devices. There are six devices which include iPad and iPhone. These items are grayed and you are unable to change. Also on my iphone it lists the computer name. This name is different from name of my computer. It's what I signed in as when I installed the Mountain Lion upgrade. I know I'm not doing a good job of explaining this. I have searched everywhere on my computer that I can think of and cannot locate where this is used. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Many governments now limit how loud headphones can go. Europe has been plagued with this for many years. Separate amplifiers are available.
I believe volumes should be kept at reasonable levels to avoid hearing loss, but it's not the governments job to protect me.
I prefer Beyerdynamic over Bose Headphones. (They spend a lot less money on advertising.)

When I had a PC I simply took the wire going to my monitor and connected to my big screen TV to watch Netflix movies...How do I take them from my IMAC and connect them to my TV now?
This could be problematic.
It will depend on what model of iMac you have.
You may want to post machine info.

Most of the iMac's have sometype of video output port on the back. You will problably need a converter.
The 'hollywood' industry has been making it more difficult to get video out over time to prevent copying.

Airplay requires both a sender/server, and a receiver - a device with special software to receive airplay. Airplay doesn't make your Mac into a TV transmitter.

Can nolonger watch YouTube movies with my new Safari 2.0.4
I recently went from an eMac with 10.3.9 - Jaguar, to an iMac with 10.4.8 Tiger. My Safari is 2.0.4.
While I was able to watch all YouTube movies, I can nolonger do so. The movie stops about 5 seconds after watching a movie. It behaves as though I already watched the movie.
I did a search to see if I could find similar incidents, and I can see that others may have experienced this problem, but no resolution was ever made.
I run the disk utility almost daily, so there are no permissions that need repairing. I use Foxfire to watch the YouTube movies with no problem, so it appears to be a Safari thing. Not really a 'Safari' thing, more than a Safari 2.0.4 thing - at least it seems that way.

Firefox crashes when I try to watch a movie type youtube, has just installed nero and Nikon software on my computer. This began shortly after I installed my new CD burner with Nero 9 burning software, about the same time I also installlerade my new Nikon camera software ViewNX2, I ran Avira scan and Microsoft Egan virus scan and they say everything is good in it, he reported a few times, I ran Avira scan of your computer and Microsoft's own Virus Scanning and they say everything is good in it, he reported a few times, tried again now and the sound is heard all the way but the image is still, therefore gentle freezes, got no number on the bug report so I can not say that. Also ask your pardon for errors in language that may be present but hope you understand anyway!

I'm trying to watch a movie from my iPad on my tv with Hdmi cable. Do I need to do anything to the tv to make this work?
Not really. Using the correct Digital Av adapter and connecting the iPad to the Tv through one of its HDMI ports is all it takes. Of course making sure the correct input is selected in the Video source selection on the TV.

Yes that is correct. However there is one slight difference with rented content, in that you need to transfer it to your iPad rather than simply sync. You can do this by selecting the rental in iTunes from the left hand side of the iTunes window and choosing the transfer option.
Yes it will be transferred to the video app on your iPad. -

I want to set up a home network to be able to watch my movies and litsen to music across multiple platforms. I have movies purchased from itunes as well as movies from my DVD collection that i converted to an .m4v format. I currently have these movies stored on an external harddrive. To watch a movie on my apple tv I have to ensure my external hard drive is connected to my macbook pro, then play the movie on my macbook pro and "mirror" it to my apple tv.
Ideally I would like to be able to watch movies from my collection without having to have my laptop on and work from that. Is it possible to navigate my collection from my Apple TV and play it on my Apple TV. My macbook pro is the machine I primarily use for work and school it is quite the protological nuissance to have to hook all that up everytime I want to watch a movie.
My thoughts are that I could take my old dekstop pc, attach an external hard drive to that and make that my "media storage". If I were to do that would I then be able to watch movies as well as select which movie I want to watch from my library through my apple TV without my macbook pro being in the equation? Or if I should desire to watch a movie from my library through my Macbook Pro, Iphone 4s, and ipad is that possible? I basically want to set up my library to be accessible from any of my devices.
My devices are; the previously mentioned Apple Tv, macbook pro, iphone 4s, ipad 3. I also have a desktop PC running windows 7, xbox 360 and playstation 3 (the xbox and PS3 would be nice if they could too but wouldnt break my heart as they are my roommate's and not mine so I rarely use them.)

How can I stop music and movies from being automatically deleted from my phone and saved on the cloud? I've just tried to watch a movie on my 2 hour commute, but yet AGAIN it has been removed. But in terms of my initial query; thanks for responding. But no, this is NOT the cause of the problem. I have auto sync and sync over wifi activated, but have also selected manually manage music and videos. Plus, all of my music and videos are on my macbook, absolutely all of it, so if it my phone was syncing with my macbook everything would still be on the phone. Life would be peachy if my phone jsut copied everything that was on my macbook, but unfortuantely it keeps deleting tracks for no apparent reason.
Any thoughts greatly welcomed, because at the moment i can only conclude that my iphone is crap. -

Rented movies downloaded to an iOS device cannot be transferred to any other computer or iOS device. Are you sure that a rented movie, downloaded to an iPad, can be airstreamed to an Apple TV?
