Wavelet Library in Java?

Is there a Wavelet transform libraray for Images in Java. I feel there should be some wavelet class for (Haar, Daub , Fourier and such transforms). If some one could give me pointers that would be great. Thanks in Advance.

oh yea! I was already looking into that link. But its a web applet. All I am looking for is a wavelet class that we could download and use it to obtain various transforms. My gut says someone would have already worked on it.Anyway if someone finds something let me know. I will also be in look out and post it if I find something appropriate.

Advanced math library for java needed.

Hi,
I need to perform nonlinear regression in order to fit a function to a set of datapoints (five parameters to estimate simultaneously).
Does anyone know of a library for Java that can perform this? I have not been able to find something myself so far.

Does Adobe have a postscript print library for Java?
I called Adobe Support - and got the typical India call center (no help of course). Hopefully Adobe has smart people someplace in the company... just not sure where.
We have a Java Web Start desktop client for geospatial work that we need to add postscript support for large format printing (e.g. E size drawings). The goal is decrease print times over the normal Java2D/Windows "render a bitmap image on the client - then send it to the print server - then to the printer" method by creating a small postscript file to send to the printer - that can then create the large bitmap to print at the device.
From what I can tell Adobe has no such library - is that really true?
If so - does anyone have recomendations on a good solid commercial or open source library?
Google seaches come up with only a couple (e.g. RiePS), none of which sound very robust. Does no one develep applications to output to postscript any more?

Most applications in common operating systems environements (Windows, MacOS, etc.) rely on the operating system's internal graphics model and the provided PostScript driver to generate PostScript for the particular device and deliver same over the device's communication channel (Ethernet, USB, etc.).

You might not even need a function to tell you if a record exists or not.
Here in below example i do a check with exists .you will find couple of other ways too..
create table t as select * from emp where deptno=10now i set salary of every person present in table 'T' to 1111 in emp table.
update emp e
set sal=1111
where exists
        (select 1
          from t
          where t.empno=e.empno) Remember that plain SQL will always outperform PLSQL.

SAP Cryptographic Library Vs JAVA Cryptographic Library

Hello All,
Whats the functional difference between SAP Cryptographic Library and JAVA Cryptographic Library. How they differ in fuctionality and When do we use one over the other. Naming convention says both are different but I am not sure of the functional difference. Any help in making me understand this is appriciable.

Well, it's pretty easy:
"SAP Cryptographic Library" (aka "SAPcryptolib") is a native library (DLL) - and therefore platform-specific. It's typically used with components such as WebAS ABAP, JCO, WebDispatcher, etc.
"Java Cryptographic Library" (aka "IAIK Toolkit") is implemented in Java. It's typically used for the WebAS Java.

Need 9.0 SDK library for java

We have crystal enterprise server 8.5 & using IBM RAD 6.0 for java based client development. i believe RAD by default gets 10.0 SDK with which we are getting unsupported enterprise version exception.
At this moment we are not upgrading enterprise server to higher version. i was looking for older SDK versions in Business object's SDK library page... but vouldn't find any older version SDK.
If any one has exact information about where can i get older version (9.0) SDK libraries would be of great help

I don't believe that there were any jars for 8.5 - that was introduced in version 9. If you have an install of version 9 - you can find the jar files in the javasdk folder located in c:\program files\common files\Crystal Decisions\2.0\ ( I believe that's the correct folder - I'm going from memory)

How to process (populate & merge) XFA PDF Forms using Adobe library in Java

We have the XFA Forms (.pdf) created in Adobe LiveCycle designer 8.2 ES. We have the following requirement :
1. We need to populate data in those forms using standalone Java programs.
2. We need to merge the populated forms and create a single PDF out of these forms, using standalone Java programs.
Can both of these be done using Adobe PDF Library or Acrobat SDK?
What is the difference between Adobe PDF Library or Acrobat SDK?
We already have the licensed version of Adobe Acrobat Professional 9 with LiveCycle Designer 8.2 ES. Where can I get the relevant Adobe Java APIs from?
Can someone provide some sample code that could be used for the above requirements?
Please provide your inputs on these. We have been using IText, but facing some limitations in that recently.

The answer looks quite clear, and the conclusion is essentially simple: Don't use LiveCycle Designer.
Keep in mind that LiveCycle Designer originated as design tool for the according servers (that's way back in JetForms's days). For reasons I still can follow, Adobe decided to thow this design tool after any Acrobat Pro for Windows buyer. And the forms industry is now suffering from the mess that created.
Also, keep in mind that the term "Server" is used here as "service providing application".
Rants aside, was there a specific feature making you chose XFA (aka LiveCycle Designer)? Knowing these reasons can help us finding suitable workarounds.

Add javascript library in .java using JavascriptContext.addJavascriptCall

I'd like to know if someone can give me a hand with this problem. I want to add a javascript library to my project, well normally you add it into the head of the jsp like:

About your question, yes they are, both files are inside the folder js.
About the suggestions you gave me, i've tried both....the first one doesn't do anything, and with the second one i have the next error:

Problem with loading native library in java version "1.5.0_05"

My application uses a native coded drawing. With java version 1.4.xx it was working just fine but with java 1.5.xx it gives the following error at the time of loading native library:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /home/abyzov/tmp/friend32-1.6.02/libfriend.so:
/home/abyzov/tmp/friend32-1.6.02/libfriend.so: undefined symbol: XtWindowToWidget
I assumed that java loads all necessary X-libraries at start up but it seems to be not true for version 1.5.xx. Does anybody now about this kind of problems? Should I report it as a bug?

I have this exact same problem. I developed an application all along using 1.4.2_08 to be exact no problems. I was forced to switch to 1.5.0_06, now when I try to run the app I get:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: <path to library>/libcomlib.so: <path to library>/libcomlib.so: undefined symbol: yp_get_default_domain
I have tried compiling it in both 1.4.2_8 and 1.5.0_06 and it compiles perfectly but when I run with 1.5.0_06 it messes up.
If you found the problem with this or anyone else has any advice please let me know.

On the OpenOffice.org site, look under projects, and there's an Open Document Toolkit for Java. I've no idea of its status though.

Specify native library in java command line

My application is :
1. packed into 1 jar file
2. use sqljdbc4.jar
2. use a native library: "Microsoft SQL Server JDBC Driver 3.0".(use it in Ecplise and it works fine)
3. run by this command: "java -jar myapp.jar".
java version is jdk1.6.0_23
btw: I config all the class paths in the manifest.mf file
My application is failed to run, since it cannot find the native library. How/where to specify the native library location?
