Way to disable vibrate for a specific contact's incoming calls only?

My iPhone is not jailbroken, so I am unable to use iBlacklist to black or ignore incoming calls. So instead I've edited the contact in question to have a silent ringtone.
However, in general I prefer to have both ring and vibration on for all incoming calls, since I'm often in loud areas where I can't hear the ringtone.
But the reason that I want to block this particular contact is because it calls me at all sorts of weird hours, thus the vibration wakes me up. So not being able to disable vibration for this contact in addition to the ringtone is a problem for me.
Is there any way that I can not only make the ringtone silent, but also disable vibration for this specific contact - and only this contact? Perhaps some app, or a setting that I'm unaware of?

Check with your carrier. Many have the ability to block calls from certain numbers. Many do have a cost associated with them though.

I switched from an iPhone 4 to a Galaxy S3. When my wife who still has an iPhone 4 tries to text me it still sends the message as an iMessage and I NEVER receive the text on my Galaxy S3. It was a refurbished iPhone and the date I purchased the device didn't work. Theres no way I'll ever get the original purchase date since I wasn't the original buyer of that iPhone.
Any suggestions?? This is an urgent matter as I NEED to receive text messages from my wife and other iPhone users. My wife is willing to turn off iMessage on her iPhone but I don't expect everyone else to.
I need to find out how to unreigster my old iPhone completely from iMessage.... or find out how to disable a specific contact on my wife's iPhone from using iMessage.

If you still have an iPhone handy and have the SIM card you used for the phone, then temporarily put your SIM into the other phone and go into Settings and turn of iMessage. If not, the only alternative that I know of is the Support profile, However, you may what to search the More Like This section on the right side of the thread to see if any of the entries there have a green checkmark meaning they are answered.

Why are my Text Contacts and incoming calls only are showing as "Message Received"

All of my text contacts messages just say "Message Received", but if I have set a ringtone for them, that is the ringtone that plays. The same is true of incoming calls, It will show the phone number, but not the assigned name. I don't know everyone's phone number! I barely remember mine!

If I understand correctly, incoming calls and messages do not display the name of any of your calls or messages, just the number. Does the same occur on your outbound calls and/or messages? Also, you may have a contact (example: Dave) that you have programmed in your S III with a mobile number, but "Dave" may have a home number as well. Have you confirmed that the number used for that call or message is the same one you have programmed into your device?

How to disable iMessage for a single contact?

Hello apple communites, I have a simple and hopefully simple to answer question..
I am curious as to how to disable iMessaging for a single contact. My sister when she got her phone number originally had an iPhone, she has since gotten an android and kept the same phone number. However I am running into issues with text messages to her, my phone still thinks she has an iPhone and continues to send every text as an iMessage, resulting in a failed message. I can easily hit the "send again as a text message" option and the message/picture sends as normal. I however find this a bit fustrating, and have tried everything I can think of to attempt to disable this. However all the online tutorials I can find regarding disabling iMessage turns the feature off completly, I don't wish to do that.
I have attempted to completely delete, (including all existing all texts and call history), and then re-add the contact, but that does not work either, my iPhone still attempts to send messages to my sister as an iMessge. Any help, if any, would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Your sister needs to disable iMessage on her iPhone if the iPhone is still available if she hasn't already done so.
If she has, does she have iMessage enabled with the same Apple ID on another iOS device or on a Mac as was used to activate iMessage on her iPhone?

For example, I'll type in "apple" because I need to know some info that was sent via text (AND I KNOW IT'S THERE), but it will not come up for that specific contact. I can search anyone else and it will go to the exact date and all, but for this one contact, it will not do it. Is there something I'm missing or may have changed? This contact is a primary contact who I communicate with on the daily.

As long as you have a form of payment (credit or debit card) with a USA source, and with a billing address in the USA, then you just need to change your payment information on your account to that, change your country in the store settings, and you will then be able to shop in the USA store.
Your AppleID will work in any country's store, as long as your payment source and billing addres are also specific to that country (and you are in that country as well, as there may be IP filters in place to stop use outside of the country).

on left side of your phone you have volume controll an right above that is a small button an if you see a orange or red dot you are in silent mode flip the switch up an it will remove silent .

I am now in France, and my iphone will not audibly ring. I can set the volume. I can select a ring tone, and the test works fine. I can turn on/off the vibrate, but incoming calls only vibrate.

Thanks for the response, I understand that using real time scheduling I can still be preempted. I also understand how to solve my problem on a multiple CPU machine. Unfortunately I only have that luxery on part of the system. There is a part of the system, 7% of the processes, that run on a single cpu machine. This is a customer requirement, I can't change it. What I want to do is possibly take advantage of the priority inheritance features of the mutex locks, however, I believe this needs to be enacted as root, since they need to run real time and it seems that you need to be root to enable the real time features. However, to propose this as an option to solve my issue, I need to show that it works. I have kicked off a process using priocntl with RT and a priority of 11, and I can see them run as real time and in a priority level of 111 using TOP, but when I put code in so I know they are in the mutex portion of the code, I don't see a priority change. I created a mutex with the protect option and a priority ceiling of 5. Does anyone know if this would be reflected anywhere. I tried opening an xterm and using a priocntl -d, but I see priority 11 even when it is in a mutex with a ceiling of 5. I would have expected it to go to five. Just in case I had the levels backwards, I also tried a ceiling of twenty and there still was no change. How can I test the priority inheritance capability? Does anyone know which call would reflect the priority change? I just need to show it does something in order to propose the change at that low of a level in our system code. I have been looking for a way to restrict specific MAC addresses from routing to the internet with my AEBS. The Access tab is labeled that it allows internet access for only the MACs in the list which is incorrect, it restricts connections to the AEBS entirely (not just to the internet).

That is correct - Access Control cannot be used to limit wireless clients from accessing just the internet. Access Control also has no influence at all on restricting access by wired clients - it only influences connections by wireless clients.
I assume the purpose of this is to find a way for a parent to limit internet access from one of their child's computers? If so, you should instead use software on the Mac itself, like the MacOS 10.4 "parental controls" feature.
