If you want to work with Mac OS X, you need one computer per simultaneous user.
What you are describing, " Multiple simultaneous logins to a single computer" is not avialable on a regular Mac of any description, unless you decide to use Unix tools instead of Mac OS X.
Server will happily store files for many, many users and provide them to multiple (up to hundreds) of computers at "near hard Drive" speeds over Gigabit Ethernet. It can make the File Sharing part easy.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!
In Pages, you can have several sheets in a document, and several tables on a sheet. You can link cells between tables and sheets.
You can not link from one document to another, but who needs to?
To link cells from Table 1 on Sheet 1 to Table 1 on sheet 2, click on destination cell, type =, then click on the source cell. Under the Insert menu, choose Fill if you wish to duplicate a range of cells.
This is a bit different from Microsoft Windows Excel, but you will soon get the hang of it.

I am trying to look at three Adobe documents at the same time. Can I split the screen to do this, otherwise I must keep flipping back and forth to read the documents.

You can arrange the open windows in any way that suits you (assuming you're on Windows - not Touch - or Mac). You can't link the scrolling though.

No access with SP Designer 2010 after change to FBA and Windows at the same time - Does this work with SP 2013

It seems you can't use SharePoint Designer 2010 to open a site if you have both forms and Windows Auth selected.
Is there any way around this if i want to use the 2 at the same time?
How does this work with SharePoint 2013 as i would be doing some migrations?

As I understand, you encountered the issue after you selected both FBA and Windows Authentication at the same time.
As I test, I can open the SharePoint 2010 site using FBA and Windows Authentication by SharePoint designer 2010. When you open the site first,
you will get a dropdown menu where you can choose between the 2 authentication mechanisms.
After you choose one of them, you can open the site.

When I open the SharePoint 2013 site using FBA and Windows Authentication by SharePoint designer 2013, I also get
a dropdown menu where I can choose between the 2 authentication mechanisms. I can open the site after I choose one of them.
So I think there are some other reasons to cause the issue.
Check these things below:
1. Check if you have the permission to open the site in SharePoint designer (Site Permission > Permission Level in ribbon > Click the permission you belongs to > Ensure Use Remote Interfaces is selected).
2. Check if you have enabled the SharePoint designer to open the SharePoint site. (Select the web application hosting the site collection using the FBA and windows authentication >Central Administration website > General Application
Settings > SharePoint Designer > ensure Enable SharePoint Designer
is selected).
3. Is there any error when you open the site in SharePoint Designer? If there are any errors, could you please provide it here for further research?

One SIMPLE, SIMPLE question that the answer seem to be no whre IN PLAIN ENGLISH! What do you have to do to have two of more tabs open at the same time. Just like ANY OTHER BROWSER LETS YOU DO! Ya know....so you can drag and drop things like pics etc.

For Pete's sake. This is not rocket sience. What more details do you want. I want two tabs OPEN at the same time so I can copy from one to the other or drag and drop from one to the other.

You can copy text and hover that selected text with the left mouse button down on another tab on the tab bar until that tab opens and drop the text in a text field in that tab. You need to make sure that that text area is visible because you can't scroll the page. You can also tear off that tab (temporarily) to a new window and resize them to see both windows. Move the tab back to the other window once you are done if you prefer that.

2 files running at the same time for adquiring data from different ways

I want to adquire from a serial port( using VISA) and from a DAQ at the same time. I want data form both devices at the same time.
My program is a while loop reading continuously from both devices until I stop the while loop with a control.
I have noticed that I don't receive right data when I read from both devices in the same program.
So, I have tried to run 2 different programs, one for Visa adquisition and another for DAQ adquisition, at the same time. At this way i receive data ok.
So, i want to know how can i do execute 2 different .vi files at the same time and how can i get data from the another one.
Please, help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I don't know what to do!

you can insert two seperate while loops in parallel into one VI. Please
take a look into the template browser and the example finder of LV for
some examples. You can find the template browser by selecting "new"
(not new vi!) in the file-menu. The example finder is located in the
help-menu.

The boundaries of the screen of my iPhone 5S started twinkling and it has problems connecting to wifi (both problems appeared at the same time), does anybody know what to do?

I have an iPhone 5S, I charged it this morning and after that I noticed that it had two problems:
1- It detects and connects to wi-fi but has no internet connection (it´s not a problem with the Wi-Fi because it works OK)
2- The bottom and the sides of the screen started twinkling, it lookes like the distortions that appear when you touch a plasma screen.
Does anybody know why this happened and how can I fix it?

2 screens open at the same time - checksum error when saving 1st screen

I have a problem with one of my applications (built in HTML DB v1.6)
In the application, there's an overview of the records, with a link to a detail-screen which has all the fields of the record are displayed (so basically what you get when you choose "Form on a Table with Report, 2 Pages" when you create a new page). This detail-screen opens in a new window, because the overview takes quite a while to load. So instead of going to a detail-screen and then going back to the overview, the detail screen opens in a new window, the user updates it, and then closes the window after saving.
Now here's the problem: when you open a detail-screen for one record, and then open another detail-screen for a different record, an error occurs when you try to save the record from the first screen you opened: "Current version of data in database has changed since user initiated the update process. Current checksum = ...., application checksum = .....".
The thing is, the 2nd detail-screen you open can be saved without any problems. I guess this is because the checksum in the session is the one from the 2nd screen, so the one from the 1st screen is obviously a mismatch to the one in the session. If I'm wrong about this, please let me know.
But now the question: is there any way to fix this, that it is possible to open multiple screens, and still be able to save them ?

-Log in with test/test (not for the workspace, but for the application)
-Then you'll get the main report (page 30 in the app), where at first you won't see data, just a few fields you can fill in. You don't need to fill in anything, though.
-Press "Zoeken" (dutch for "search"), and you will get some data. You dont need to fill in any of the fields above the report.
-Now it should show 2 lines, with different values for column POD.
-If you click the number under column POD, it will open the details of the line in a new window (page 31 in the app). Click the first record, so that will show the details. don't close the window, but go back to the original window and open the details for the 2nd line. You should now have 3 windows: the report, and two screens with the details for both lines.
-now go to the screen which has the details for the record you first opened. Change a field, for example "Comments" (it has some numbers in it, or "some comments" as text). It doesn't really matter what you enter here.
-Click the button "Opslaan" ("save" in dutch) in the top right corner. Now you should get the error that the checksum is incorrect (and in dutch that it can't save the record).
I hope you can identify the cause of this error, because I could not reproduce this in a new application, and I don't see why this error occurs. Not a lot happens when the record is being loaded.

7.29.2013 - iPad2 begins to randomly open and close apps and also the screen changes from bigger to smaller repetitively when the apps are randomly opening and closing. Nothing occurred with the device to indicate why this started happening; it was not dropped, etc.

If still problem:
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

Need to dial 5 extensions at the same time in case of emergency

Hi, our company uses Communications Manager 8.6.2 and has a requirement which I haven't been able to fill using normal methods.
We need to call 5 mobile numbers at the same time when an emergency exists at our location. Only one of the 5 called numbers has to respond to the call for help in our 3 km long, 2 kilometer wide company site.
Thought 1 line number with remote destinations would work but this doesn't seem to handle multiple mobile numbers well. Strangely, it doesn't ring all lines at the same time. It will ring max 2 mobile phones at the same time in our test. There were enough free lines on the PMX to dial out to all phones during the test period.
Doesn anyone have this situation and how did you handle it?

Hi, Thanks for the quick responce, unfortunately we dont have contact center installed. Actually we would like one DN number for these 5 people, because these people are continually moving around their respective areas, there is no physical local endpoint.
When the number is dialed it should ring out to the 5 mobile numbers, when one answers the others should stop ringing.
We could in theory install the uccx solution but this will cost some time to get up and running and at present we do not have any additional need for uccx.

I am a teacher and want to make some videos to post online for my class. I would like to have it set up so that I have a powerpoint presentation going, a video camera pointing at a piece of paper I can write on and another video camera pointing at me. How do I do this? I have seen several solutions but they seem to be for switching between videos whereas I want both video images to be on at the same time.
Also, is there a screen capture program you would recommend?

Go to System Preferences - Sharing and change the computer name there. You can also, optionally, change the name of your hard drive to further clarify the origin of your backups. Click once on the "Macintosh HD" on your desktop, then click its name to allow you to edit it.

HT1600 I have Apple TV version 7.4.2 and we pressed on the remote the select button and the menu button at the same time to update our software. The box shows white light, we can get the screen to select netflix but nothing will move and the box will not

I have Apple TV version 7.4.2. We read in a blog that in order to reset our Apple TV we should press the menu button and the select big button at the same time which we did. Now when we attempt to turn on the apple tv box it with the remote we get a white light and sometimes we can get the menu screen but the remote will not let us move now will it allow us to turn the apple tv on or off. If we just leave it alone, the white light eventually goes away. I did unplug the apple tv and we removed the batteries and reinstalled them from the remote and that did not make any difference. Please advise.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
