We are deloying IPhone 4s models in our organization and I am trying to setup a one way sync from Google to IPhone? Help

We are deploying IPhone model 4s in our organization and we want to have a Global addressbook. I have setup with Google using Gmail and accessing the contacts however this provides a two-way sync. I need the setup to be a one-way sync from Google to IPhone only!
HELP

I use the same id and password as I want them all in the same place. I have tried other solutions offered here like turning off contact, saving to the phone and turning them back on and merging. still no contacts go to icloud.

I just read in the sync basics doc that syncing of photos and music is "one way" from the pc to the phone.
Does this mean that since I've replaced the original pc that the pictures that I sync'ed previously to the phone, and which only exist there, will be deleted when I set up a new photo sync folder on the new pc?

If you have the original photos that were stored on your old PC, then transfer the photos to your new PC along with all other important data that was stored on your old PC that you want or need to access on your new PC. Do Windows users start using a new PC without transferring any data from their old PC?
Photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone are optimized for viewing on your iPhone as part of the iTunes sync process. The original resolution of these photos are changed. The iPhone is not designed nor intended to be a backup storage device, and should not be considered as such. There are some 3rd party utilities that provide for transferring these photos in the opposite direction, but such utilities are not supported by Apple, and the original resolution of these photos will be lost in the process. This is what creating and maintaining a backup for the important data stored on your computer's hard drive is for, which should include your iTunes library and especially any photos that are important to you. This is important regardless the platform, but even more so with Windows due to constant virus, adware, and spyware concerns.

Before syncing contacts and calendar events with a supported application on your computer that is not being used and doesn't include any data, enter one unique contact in the address book, and one unique calendar event in the calendar. Make these up if needed, which can be deleted later. This will provide a merge prompt when syncing this data, which you want to select.

I can't sync iCal from my Mac (MBP) to my iPhone. I recently upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion and I think that's when my iCal stopped syncing from MBP to iPhone. Help please!

Does anyone know how or correct this problem? Before the Mountain Lion upgrad (from Snow Leapord) I didn't have this problem. Now, my iCal on the phone seems locked or frozen, and any additions I make to my MBP do not sync to my iPhone. Really frustrating!

Well, you can try this: right click the file, go down to encode file, and reencode it for the Mac.

There is only one speaker, what looks like another speaker is actually a microphone. All iPhones only have one speaker down by the dock connector.

Not all phone numbers sync from Gmail to iPhone

Is there a way to control which phone numbers sync from my Gmail Contacts to my iPhone (and vice-versa)?
A few things I've noticed:
- only 1 "mobile" number gets synced from gmail to iphone (which is a pain when a contact has mobile numbers is a couple of different countries)
- a number labled as "other" in gmail doesn't get synced at all to the iphone
I should mention that I have my Gmail account on my iPhone set up as an "Exchange" account.

If you've got Gmail set up as an Exchange account, your options for labels are limited. And, every now and then, I had it randomly relabel things. I'd recommend syncing the contacts through a standard Gmail set up. If you want to keep using your email through Exchange you can do that. Just turn off contacts for that account. When you set up the standard Gmail account (IMAP), only turn on contacts. I've found it works much better.

How to sync from google email/contacts/calendar to iphone 4s?

I'm concerned about android security and my company has more apps on the iphone(including corporate vpn) so i'm leaning on going to an iphone from a blackberry.
However, I love google mail/calendar/apps and use yahoo calendar too(occasionally). I even use voice.google.com.
Can i use the iphone to sync(if not 2 ways, then at least one way between the google "cloud" to the iphone 4s.
I believe if one sets up the iphone as an "exchange device" this should work?
I just don't want my iphone to wipe out my google contacts/calendar or override them. This happened once with my blackberry.
I don't plan on using the iphone to edit/add/contacts --- with the small keyboard and screen --- my fingers are too big for the keyboard.
I don't have a mac.

One-Way Sync iPhone with iTunes?

On several occasions I have managed to delete content on my iPhone using sync in iTunes, and I somehow find iTunes not very intuitive and logical on the matter of syncing.
My basic question is of there is a way to force a one-way sync, or "Just transfer crap to my phone but don't even dare touch the content on there or I will un-install you!"...
I have a total of 3 computers which I use my iPhone with.
- Work: at my work I generally use to sync my calendars ect. so I always have my work calendar on me,
- Home Workstation: this I use to manage the music on my iPhone primarily.
- Home Laptop: this I use for verious stuff.
What computer should be allowed to do what? (R-Read, W-Write, D-Delete)
- Music: Work - RW , Home WS - RWD, Home Laptop - RW
- Calendar: Work - RWD , Home WS - RW, Home Laptop - RW
- Apps: Work - RW , Home WS - RWD, Home Laptop - RW
And so on, so as you can se, I would like to ONLY let my workstation at work delete stuff in my calendar, it may add stuff or read stuff of any kind, but NEVER delete it.
And so forth...
Is there anyway of adding such restrictions?...

The main thing is, you can only sync to one itunes library at a time. If you want to sync to more than one computer, you'll have to manually manage your media content to avoid getting it deleted when you connect to another computer.

And attempting to follow the instructions there, well fails because what happens in step 5 when clicking apply, is the dialog that ask if i wan't to erase and re-sync. That means i can't even Enable Manually management of videos and music without erasing the content on my phone?...

See if this cnet video gives you any help. The best you can do is trick itunes into thinking it is syncing to the same library database file on all PCs.

You will have to pay careful attention to how itunes preferences are set on each PC.
The thing was designed to sync with one PC, really. This apple article pretty much states it will get corrupted if you try to use multiple PCs repeatedly:

and advises using a 3rd-party solution to do it. The cnet video I linked also has mentions of 3rd-party programs htat will do what you want.

ICal One-Way Sync? (iPhone to Mac)

So, the other day my mother accidentally erased all of her events in iCal on her Mac. She still had them all on her iPhone, so she tried to sync it with her Mac to undo the deletions. But it did the opposite; all of her events were lost on her phone. Luckily, I was able to restore her back-up onto her iPhone. So I need to know if there is a way to sync the events (one-way) from the phone onto the Mac.

I am not sure if I will follow your advice, however. While you're probably right and it should be a true sync, what I was trying to say was that in my case (and apparently Berit's as well) it simply isn't.
Which means that apart from the fact that we will probably have to clean out our adress books and calendars again after a reset and sync. I've done that three times already and believe me, it's a major pain. Plus, there is also a chance it won't work afterwards.
I was actually hoping for there to be some workaround solution like a one-way sync. And I'm not happy with Apple's tendency to prevent such workarounds wherever they can. I understand they want to profit from their awesome products but wherever anything doesn't work they're starting to lose their user friendliness along the way. Which still, to me, is their selling point number one, notwithstanding the really great design.
Honestly, I'm not sure what to do right now.
But thanks again for your time. I'll keep posting what happens.

Make sure that you are creating events on your iCloud calendars. If you are creating events in calendars which are under the "On My Mac" category, they will not sync with iCloud.

To reiterate, some reasons you may not be getting Albums group as you want:
Songs are not properly tagged in itunes prior to synching (you should also make sure Album Artist is tagged, BTW)
You are using the wrong view in the Music app

Check the outgoing mail server settings in your account on the Treo and see if it is set for your yahoo account.
Make sure it is not set for the Hotmail account.

This is because I cannont upgrade to Lion and I do not want to get duplicate contacts when I sync from the computer 10.6.8 to my iPhone iOS5. You should not upgrade to Lion upless you have 4GB of ram. Lion does not support rosita so all your old programs will not funtion and you have to repurchase all old software the is working fine.
