Hello iTunes! I just updated my iPhone on iTunes. Since I have a 3rd Generation iPhone in now have the 4th Generation software. When I went to play my music, it says "iTunes Sync Required, You must sync with your computer before you can use iPod." But I cant sync my iPod! When I went on iTunes I tried everything, but I cant sync my iPhone! Any suggestions???? Please I spent a lot of money buying music on iTunes!!

Why? Is your computer in another town, or perhaps you ran over it with a truck, or maybe your cat ate your sync cable...
Perhaps you're plugging your iPhone in and maybe even getting an error message you could tell us about...
We don't know why you can't sync if you don't tell us what you're talking about.

Hmm, well... iTunes trys to activate your iPod using the Apple server to make sure you have bought it legit.
Two things come into my mind:
1) Your iTunes can't access the internet.
2) Apples activation servers are down.
That's just my cents, maybe anyone else has an idea. -

I found an article from Apple that specifically outlines how to try and troubleshoot this issue. It's called iPhone: Troubleshooting activation issues found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3424.
Resolution
Perform the following steps if you receive one of the messages above:
Restart the iPhone.
Try another means of reaching the activation server and attempt to activate.
Try connecting to Wi-Fi if you're unable to activate using a cellular data connection.
Try connecting to iTunes if you're unable to activate using Wi-Fi.
Restore the iPhone.
If you receive an alert message when you attempt to activate your iPhone, try to place the iPhone in recovery mode and perform a restore. If you're still unable to complete the setup assistant due to an activation error, contact Applefor assistance.

No, it was not jailbroken. And now because it's in this loop, there's no ability to restore and such on itunes as the only option now is ever 'eject'. -

so what I can doIf you don't know exactly where it came from, then odds are you have a hacked, gray market phone.
Call AppleCare and give them the serial number. They should be able to tell you if it's carrier locked in their database. If it is, the only hope of it ever working again would be to get the original carrier to authorize unlocking it. If they won't, it's a brick. Even if they do, there's a chance it may never activate properly again because of the hack. -
Now update ios 6.1 through itunes, but it is not activating

If so you'll have to go elsewhere for assistance because the terms of Use for this forum prohibit discussing support for jailbroken phones.

I bought a new iPhone 4s from a electronics shop here in Norway today with a norwegian network. When I tried to activate my iPhone, I got this message:
"We're sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time"
I also tried to activate the iPhone from the phone itself, but it gets stuck when I try to type in the PIN-code and tells me that I have to write in the PUK-code, even though I haven't typed in the wrong PIN-code. I've tried to hard reset the phone, reboot the computer and turn off the firewall, but nothing worked.
Could this have anything to do with the fact that I've changed network provider, and it's going to take about 10 days for the new SIM-card to work?Hope you already found a solution, if not try this:

Not all jailbreaks can be completely removed.

1. Your antivirus is blocking access to gs.apple.com.
2. Your phone is jailbroken.
3. Your computer has been used at some time in the past to jaibreak some iOS device (not necessarily the phone with the problem), and its network database was corrupted by the hacking software that was used.
4. Apple's activation servers are down (very rare, and never for more than an hour or so).
For 1. try disabling your antivirus.
For 2. & 3. you need to go somewhere other than an apple forum for help. Although you can try deleting lines containing gs.apple.com from your "hosts" file on your computer.
