We upgraded our router to Belkin N300. The router will work with the IPad but not our PC. What do we need to do?

Our PC is about 8 years old. It does not like the new Belkan router. We can receive emails but cannot send or forward the emails. The IPad is working perfectly. Any suggestions?

First thing to try is reset Printing System:
OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system
Next would be reset the router (power off 15 secs then back on). And, 2 minutes later, reset the printers 1 by 1.

Router Problem - Works with Windoze, Linux, but not with Mac

I can't seem to get any router to work with my Mac.
I've tried a Linksys 'b' router, a Netgear 'g' router and a Belkin 'g' router.
No joy.
When I connect my Mac directly to my cable modem (Motorola Surfboard), there are no issues. When I connect the router in between, the Mac pulls the proper ip address and I can ping the router, but I can't get any further. If I try to ping an outside ip address (such as the 4.2.2.2 dns) I get the error message "ping: sendto: Cannot allocate memory". [Does anyone know what this message means?]
A second computer (IBM NetVista) connects reliably using Windoze XP. The same machine, booted in CentOS also connects reliably (after disabling the firewall).
Note, these are all wired connections. I'm not even trying to use wireless yet. The cables all check out, since they all work in other configurations (the Mac->router cable is the same one I use for Mac->Surfboard, and the router->surfboard cable works when connecting from the NewVista machine.
I thought the Mac problems might be firewall related. I had "Brickhouse" installed,but it has since been removed. My network settings no long advise that there is any firewall software in place (previously Sharing > Firewall was greyed out with message that other firewall software was installed). Sharing > Firewall now reports "Firewall Off".
I know the routers work, since I can connect from the NetVista machine. I know the cables are good, because they all work in other configurations. I know the Mac is seeing the router, and the router is seeing the Mac because a correct ip address is pulled. I can even communicate between the machines (ftp,ssh) but I can't get internet access using the Mac through the router.
Oh yeah... one other oddity. When I have personal web sharing enabled, an attempt to access the router setup page at 192.168.1.1 fetches the local server index.html page instead of accessing the router. When web sharing is off, I get a "you are not connected to the internet" message.
Any insight?

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, then when the prompt shows, type in...

Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 5 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
Try dragging these files to the Desktop & Reboot...

Linksys router wrt54g works with pc laptop but not mac desktop

i have a linksys router wrt54g. using my pc laptop i configured the router with a wep password. my pc laptop asked for the wep once and has no problems connecting everytime i turn it on. my older(powermac2,1) desktop (mac os x) asked for a wep password i entered one of the four given me by the router and it worked. on later attempts to access the router i have been unsucessful. i am asked for a wep password and when i enter it i am told the password is not correct. when i reset the router, airport has no problem connecting but i have no security. also i can't access the router online like i can with the pc laptop.
can anyone help???

10.7.2 is required for full iCloud facilities, but you can still use your email. In theory you should be able to access your email in Mail at the same server settings, but this hasn't worked for everyone: you can set Mail up manually to access your iCloud email:

The iPad will support multiple Gmail accounts, but of course you have to set each one up individually. Did you set up both accounts? Go into Settings/ Mail, Contacts, Calendars to confirm both accounts exist. If they do, also familiarize yourself on how to navigate between accounts to make sure you can view your Inbox. You may also want to check your settings to make sure that you have the default account set up as you expect for Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Notes (if you're using all those features). That is important only when initiating something new, you have to have a default account to do such a thing so make sure the default is your account since it is your iPad (assuming that's what you want).
Alternatively, install the free Gmail app and then use only his (or your) account with that app and use the standard iOS Mail app for the other account.

Levi G B ... Also found another thread by Davidfromsurfside on 10/14/11 0703A with the same problem. I responded on his thread "I have the same problem. IOS5 on iPad1, iPad2 and iPhone4S all with iCloud on. Lion 10.7.2 installed on my MacBookPro and iCloud set up/on. Any new iCal entry on either iPad or on the iPhone ends up via iCloud on both iPads and iPhone. BUT NOT ON THE MacBookPro. And iCal entry on the MacBookPro does NOT GET SENT to iCloud.com or to either iPad or the iPhone. This is a huge problem for me because I do all my office scheduling on the iPad or iPhone but rely on the MakeBookPro to print out daily client lists. I'm pretty sure it's a bug in either iOS 6 or iTunes 10.7. I kept getting it until I quit iTunes and re-ran it again. I then started sync from the iPad itself.

Based on an online post, I tried the following and it worked for me:
1. Windows 7: Control panel > Device Manager
2. Right click my PC's name > "scan for hardware changes"
3. Restart iTunes
4. Restart IPad
5. Connect IPad
6. Still I got the same error
7. Restart iTunes
8. Restart IPad
9. Connect IPad
10. It worked and I was able to sync the apps!!
Prior to this I had removed few apps, not sure that was a trigger.

Shooting photo's in RAW format crates pretty big files that will fill up the iPad's memory pretty fast if you shoot a lot during a (let's say) month long trip.
my idea was to use load the photo's to the iPad so i could view them and sort out any bad ones. then copy them over to the storage device so i can continue using my CF cards for shooting. I have an image thank for copying the photo's directly to the HDD but it would be so sweet to be able to check them on the iPad before hand.

If you have a PC, you don't have Pages on it. You can transfer Pages presentations to/from iCloud via http://www.icloud.com , however -- you just won't have an app on your PC to deal with Pages documents. Make sure that you have your iCloud account properly configured on your iPad.

Yes I tried that. I finally turned off all home sharing settings, shut down my desktop and found them in my account settings in the store on the cloud. So at that point I just had it download everything. But I suspect that with the ipad somehow being on, the store was saying I had already received them? Regardless, my trip today whilst running errands, I was rocking out to vintage Police music! Thank you so much for responding.

Open Message application. Open preferences and Accounts. Sign out of iMessage or disable it.
Notification Center: Open notification center preferences and select Messages. Choose no alerts and not show in Notification Center.

Enterprise Mgr works with one db but not the other

We have two Oracle 10g databases installed. Enterprise Manager works with the second, but not the first. I believe the problem started when we migrated the host server to another network domain. Everything else works fine, but I'm getting a page load failure when attempting to access enterprise mgr.
The second db was installed after the migration and EM works fine.
Can anyone tell me how to reconfigure this?
